Holly stared at Thorn.
"So you know about the mind wipes too." The girl has no idea what she's dealing with. The people won't listen to this. Actually Root won't. I should mind wipe them and go home. Its what any sensible officer would do.
Thorn had taken her peircing eyes off Holly for a second.
"Think what you may, Holly. I think its time for sleep."
Thorn stretched and yawned.
"So you going underground to report this all, or staying here for awhile?"
"I will stay. For a short while."
"You can't mind wipe us yet you know. I haven't showed you why we let you come. The real reason. Think I wanted to kidnap you or something? Money is nothing here. Even though we all need it. But for now, I want rest. So are you gonna stay?"
In truth Holly was tired. Her helmet was still in Thorn's bag and her gun was at her side. I might as well. A voice woke in the back of her mind: "And let Root kill you for it?" Well what could he do? There was a reason Thorn let the group be discovered. She had similarities to Artemis Fowl. But she was different. Knew the street life better. She could actually run, haid and fight without a weapon. Thorn reminded her of herself. Yes. She did. Thorn had mentioned trolls too. Something about them. Thats not good.
"Alright I'll stay, I' m exhausted anyways."
Thorn smiled slightly. "Good. Come on."
Thorn turned and went through a door. Dan gave a wave to Holly as she left. She waved back with good nature. They began climbing stairs.
"Why so many stairs?"
"The top floor is mine, as is the roof. We don't use the elevator, makes too much noise."
They walked up a few flights of stairs and reached the high floor. Thorn unlocked the door and walked in. Holly stared around. Posters of things were everywhere and paintings. Its was a long hallway. Thorn walked a little then stopped and broke into a run. In the middle of the hall there was a huge hole that led down to the next floor. She leapt over it and landed on the other side like a cat.
"Come on this side, Holly. The other I don't use."
Holly took a run and jumped to the other side. She made it easily but smiled and sighed slightly with relief.
"Good. On here."
Thorn walked into a room. Pictures drawn with pencil hung everywhere supported by nails.
"You can stay in here. Its not bad."
"What about you?"
"I said I was tired, I never said I would sleep. This is my room."
Holly looked at the pictures. Some were of the guys downstairs, but one caught her eyes. It was an Asian girl with a friendly face holding a gun with a smirk. She was dressed like Thorn.
"Who is this?"
"Thats Velatrix. Or a drawing of her. You'll meet her later or before you go. She's a wild cat."
Holly thought Thorn more of a wildcat, the way she had jumped and landed.
"Anyways sleep now or whatever elves do. I'll see ya later."
Holly thought it best just to sleep. Thorn walked out of the room and disappeared down the hall. She made no noise. Holly lay down on the bad looking around at the pictures. She shrugged and let herself sleep despite being in a human's home.

Holly awoke to find her helmet on the table beside her. There was a note scrawled beside it. Hey Holly,
I went to go check something out. Your helmet is there if you want to contact your people at the LEP. Kyle is setting up connections along with Nathan's help. You'll be talking through web cams to your commanding officers or should I say Juluis Root. Anyways.I'll be back soon. I wanted to check something out. If you meet Velatrix just be calm and state you came with me.

Holly sighed and ignored her helmet. Thorn had walked in here and Holly had just slumbered on. She was sure alert. She straightened herself out and stretched. She stole Thorn's comb and ran it through her hair and walked out of the room. She jumped across the hole landing with little noise. But some one had heard her.
"Hey!"
A person ran to Holly, a dagger held high. Holly grabbed her gun and aimed, waiting and daring for the human to come any closer.
