**********************__________________________________________************** Holly crouched with the gun, still waiting. The human female stood up but the dagger was ready. She was Asian.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Holly and I'm here with Thorn."
"Why do I not believe you? You could be WuDi's floozie or something."
Holly shuddered at the thought but then got a reply. "Men like him don't like women, do they now?"
The girl smiled slightly. "Ok so you know some stuff. But that doesn't mean your welcome here. Especially on this floor. Its Thorns and I's floor.
"That didn't make sense."
"You get the jest of it." She raised the dagger. Holly kept the gun up and her finger edged on the trigger.
Thorn appeared at the end of the hall. "Vel, no!" She ran down and stood between Holly and Vel. She shielded Holly from view.
"Vel, no. Its ok, she's on our side."
"Sure she is. Telling her authourities." Vel peered at Holly around Thorn who pushed her back by her shoulder.
"I haven't even contacted my boss yet and that's bound to get me more trouble. Oh no, Vein!"
"No time for that now Holly. We are about to contact your people."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Vel, peace."
Velatrix stood frozen in spot, but Thron held her ground. Vel let the dagger hang loosely at her side.
"Alright,Thorn. You win."
"I always win. I never fight battles I know I will lose."
Holly remembered that line. Thorn stuck to one thing and never left it. Smart move mud girl . Its a harsh reality and you are already gripping the rope and refusing to let go.
Velatrix nodded to Holly, who nodded back but was unsure whether that was the best way to communicate. Get a grip Holly. You're not a social worker. Good thing. They would beat one up straight away. They walked down the countless stairs and reached the control room. Kyle had alot of stuff set up. Holly stared at it quite fasinated, since it was so ancient to her. Kyle smiled and waved. Geoff was looking over a computer and no one else was in the room.
"Ok, Thorn so we going to do this?"
Thorn was looking over wires connecting them and such. "Yep!" She smiled a little. She straightened her shirt out and hung her earrings straight.
"Your people care about looks?"
"Umm. Depnds normal male society but better look half decent."
Thorn nodded. "We ready to go Kyle?"
"Yep." Kyle typed in a code and Foaly showed up on a screen. Kyle had it set up so you could see Foaly but on another moniter, Holly could see herself and Thorn.
"Holly?"
"Foaly, get Commander Root."
"OK.. but he won't be happy."
"Is he ever?"
Foaly trotted off. Thorn seemed disinterested as if this bored her completely. Velatrix had frozen the picture of Foaly and was staring at it. Kyle was eating popcorn and watchingthe empty screen. Geoff ignored them completely.
"So is this boss. Commander Root right?"
"Thats right Mud girl..."
Yeah that all for now! Mystery voice hehehehe....
