*Authors note*
Today's special is a fanfiction story idea dump, with a side frothy pairing idea. Stories are not canon to each other, and if you like them perhaps, I'll move forward with them. This will be marked complete until either I run out of ideas, or just get bored.

For tonight's story, let us take a journey on the other side of the veil. Grab your favorite coffee, Irish cream mayhap? A bagel, positively scrumptious.

Welcome to the first Coffee House Hours Short Story!

One Cold Night Of Yule Tidings.

Yule tidings, colored lights, and the jingle-jingle of carols resounded throughout Atlas. The floating city was celebrating The Holidays. Weiss Schnee, her brother Whitley, and older sister Winter walked along the roads of the commercial district. Winter Schnee was due to ship out for her first year in the Atlassian Military Academy. Despite their father's wishes, Winter was intent to rebel, and rebellion was the name of the game.

She had got gifts for her mother, brother, and sister. The young woman didn't buy a single thing for her father. As far as she was concerned that old scourge could croak. Joy singers raced by them, ringing bells of yuletide giving. Weiss was always shocked by how fast the groups operated. She often wondered if there was school for them. There was just no way that people, normal people, could be driven to such extents of professionalism in movement. Church singers, street performers, and even amateur singers lined the street.

A group of faunus children threw snowballs at each other. Human children were joining them, much to the chagrin of their uppity parents. Whitley even ran over to join the commotions. A snowball suddenly flew out, striking Weiss across the head. Her eyes widened, and then she heard the snotty nosed laughter of her assaulter. She turned to see him, blonde hair with red fox ears. His azure eyes full of mirth at his accomplishment, bundled in an orange jacket, blue sweatpants. He had three whisker marks on his cheek and was already reloading a snowball.

Weiss hid behind her sister, and she caught the snowball out of the air! The blonde faunus child just stood there, mortified as the older sister cocked her hand back. She threw the snowball back at him. He dived down, gathering snow. Weiss was gathering snow into her hand as Winter was too. Both sisters giggled as he missed them, and both launched theirs at the same time. He was smashed in the face by the snowballs. Instead of crying about it, much to Winter's surprise, he just laughed and ran over to them.

"Incoming!" He yelled as three other children launched snowballs at him.

"Is there no team, dear sister?" Weiss asked her sister.

Winter giggles, "I don't think so, Weiss."

"Yo guys, time out!" The blonde yelled as he dodged snowballs.

The other kids jeered him as they continued bombarding Weiss, and Winter. The blonde growled out, joining the girls, grabbing snow from the ground, and rolling them into snowballs. The trio of kids started finding themselves being pushed back, but that's when one more of their group came in with giant snowball. The blonde watched as it was launched toward Weiss, so he did the only play, he dived and pushed her out of way. He took the full hit, getting soaked, and covered in wet snow. He dug himself out, continuing to lay down suppressive fire with his snowballs. He looked at Weiss, who was now blushing mad, he looked away starting to blush when a snowball hit full on in the face.

Sensing the battle was lost Winter grabbed Weiss, retreating, the blonde followed them as well. He slid into an alleyway behind them, watching as the group of four kids ran past. He laughed, boisterously, and then looking at the girls.

"I'm sorry, I had you all confused with them for a moment!" He apologized, one of them has the same coat.

Weiss and Winter looked at each other, both answering at the same time, "Whitley."

"Oh, you know him, he seems kind of wild," the blonde says.

Winter laughed, patting the small kid on his shoulder, "He is our brother."

"Oh neat, crud it's so cold," he shivers as he rubbed his hands together. "Can I get you both a hot chocolate."

"Weiss, want him to treat us to hot chocolate?" Winter asked her sister, who was blushing.

"S-sure, I gu-guess," Weiss mumbled.

Winter wanted to tease her sister, but she settled with watching her squirm. She turned back to the blonde who was looking out, making sure they weren't going to be seen. He motioned them to follow. Jogging on the snow-covered sidewalk, the girls noted that he seemed to know his way around the city very well. They made it to a small shop, entering it, there was one open table left. They managed to get it, with both settling in the lovely heat of the shop.

"So, what's your name?" Winter inquired, watching as Weiss kept shyly hiding herself back a little.

The blonde smiled, saying, "My name is Naruto Uzumaki!"

"Naruto, isn't that a ramen topping?" Weiss asked, while still hiding herself a little.

Naruto laughed with small bit of joy at the question, "I'm named after the maelstrom part. My parents do own a ramen shop, ironically."

"Oh, wait a minute, what's their shop name?" Winter asked.

"Windy Waves Ramen Stand!" He announced, and then he thought. "My parents are taking my sister walking around."

"Sister, you have a little sister?" Weiss inquired, having her interest peaked.

The blonde pulled out his scroll, showing a picture of round-faced redheaded girl with the same whisker marks. She seemed cheerful, laughing with them in a picture. She couldn't be no older than three years old. The blonde put his scroll away, watching as a waitress walked over to them.

"Three hot chocolates please!" Naruto ordered.

The waitress smiled, walking away. The trio engaged in more small talk as their drinks got prepared. That's when she came back with two drinks instead of three. Confused, Winter took hers and Weiss's. The blonde was then showed a sign, and he frowned.

"Service to Faunus can be revoked at any time."

"Oh, so that's how it is, well that's fine." Naruto handed bill over to the waitress, paying for his guests' drinks.

Weiss frowned, and then slid her hot chocolate over to him. He shook his head, pushing it back with a bright toothy smile. Winter nearly cooed her sister, but contained herself, lest anyone think less the ice queen. That's when the blonde said something, that if he was her age, would've made her swoon.

He smiled while saying it, "Please I insist, you look cold ice princess."

"Why did you call me an ice princess, you know that's technically an insult." Weiss points out.

Naruto laughed, but then blushed while replying, "Well you just look like a snowflake, pretty and all that…"

Weiss stayed silent, drinking her chocolate. Soon the trio left as the they finished. Winter watched as the blonde walked ahead of them, scouting it seemed. Fireworks began to start off in the distance, the yule festival kicking into its final phase. Weiss watched as redheaded woman, with a girl that looked like a carbon copy approach them.

"There you are, Naruto," his mother greeted them.

"Hey mom, sorry I just got caught up in a snowball fight. I accidentally went after them!" Naruto pointed at Winter and Weiss.

His mother walked over to them, "I'm sorry if my son got your all too rough. He is usually competitive."

"No, no, he was an angel. Besides he got us hot chocolate." Winter replied but noted the boy's mother looking at Naruto.

Especially the fact that he was holding a girl's hand, specifically Weiss's hand. Something that even Winter didn't even notice, she then chose this moment to break stoicism. She got her scroll out, snapping a photograph of the boy holding her sister's hand with her in the picture. His mother had done the same, it almost in some state of shared consciousness they both responded to the same thing at the same time.

Weiss, and Naruto both stopping each other's hand, blushing, but crossing their arms while looking away from each other!

"Ah young love, right miss…" Naruto's mother started, but couldn't finish.

"Winter, I'm Winter Schnee." Winter introduced herself to Naruto's mother.

Naruto's mother laughed, "Kushina, Kushina Uzumaki…wait did you just say Schnee?"

The end of the night came, both parties had linked up with each other. Naruto had his little sister on his shoulder as the main parade went down the street. Weiss was back to holding his hand, for some reason she felt so warm around. Winter was carrying Whitley on top of her shoulders. She wished her parents would get their heads out of their buttocks for one moment. However, Winter didn't mind these moments of playing mother.

She smiled, looking at her sister, "Happy Yule Tidings Weiss. Perhaps even to you, my possible future brother-in-law."
