If you give a Hobbit a Mushroom...
This is a quickie fic myself and another writer, whose pen name Elisabeth Daniels, and another girl named Karley, wrote while I was in the hospital.

If you Give a Hobbit a Mushroom
If you give a hobbit a mushroom, he will probably ask you for some cider to go with it.
When you give him the cider, he will think of how cider is made from apples, and since he is still hungry, he will ask you for an apple.
And if he asks you for an apple, he will want to go out and climb an apple tree, so he can be sure to get the freshest, juiciest apples from the very topmost branches.
So he'll climb the tree and get the apple, and when he is done, he'll notice he has mussed his foot-hair, and he'll ask you for a comb.
When you give him the comb, he'll comb his feet; and then he'll want a mirror to be sure his hair is neat. So you'll give him the mirror.
And then, when he looks in the mirror, he will see that he is missing one of his brass buttons; so he will ask you to buy him some new brass buttons.
So you'll buy him the buttons; and while he is at the store, he will probably think of buying presents for his relatives and friends. So he will ask you to help him pick out some presents.
And if he buys presents, he will most likely want to throw a party at which to give the presents away. So you'll have to help him write up a guest list, and plan a party.
If he plans a party, the hobbit will need food to feed his guests. So he'll ask you to buy some food.
And if he asks you for food for the party, he will most certainly ask for mushrooms.
