Prologue
Gokei, one of the most powerful spirit demons to have traveled the plains. Six years ago, I was apprenticing under Totosei, the great sword- smith who made the Tetsaiga and the Tensaiga. But our story starts 6000 years before hand, when the gods created Gokei...
"Icna, the world grows weak. The new race has betrayed the gods and is conquering all others. Not even mother nature can help now."
"Ah, but that is where you are wrong brother. We are the gods of earth. Do we not have dominion above all being who dwell here?"
"Yes, but the demons-"
"The demons are doing what they were intended to do. They are claiming their territory, and spiting their creators. Is that not how we made them? Call sister Naki."
"Y-yes brother..."
"Ha! Those fools think they are my equals. They are but pawns in my game... Ah! Sister Naki, how good to see you after so long. Council shall be held more often, hm?"
"Well met brother, nice to see you too. Yonli tells me of trouble on the world below. Had you not said you have them under control?"
"Yes Naki, I did say that. But, may I ask you where Yonli is? I told him to go and get you."
"Pardon? I took the most direct route here from my home. I think I would have passed him..."
"Brother, Sister!"
"Ah, Yonli. Where have you been?"
"I got lost Icna. So, how are we to control those demons from taking over the world as we now it?"
"Brothers, can't you see? They have no leader, of course they are out of control. We must give them leaders that will give them peace."
"Hm, good point Yonli. We shall summon forth the great spirits of nature to control the demons."
"I-Icna?! You cannot be serious... They would destroy the demons, unless we gave them a sacrifice."
"Hm, what do you think YOU two are for?"
"Icna!"
"Icna! You can't be serious, we are your family! And you would betray us so."
"Won kwo dei yeh ikon dof gaj mun so! Arise, spirits! I give you these two as my gift! Do with them as you like, and hear my plee! The demons of earth need leaders... Control them, make them your own, consume them!"
And with that, the four spirits consumed Yonli and Naki. Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire control all in this time. Anyone who can control the elements at will is said to be given the great gift by Naki herself. She and Yonli did not die in vain. It is thanks to them that demons do not have dominion over the world today. And thanks to Naki, I am able to summon small spirits. The Demon Kings do not allow spirit summoning. Gokei, along with Haneli, the water spirit demon, Farinei, the earth spirit demon, and Raygei, the wind spirit. Each is said to have a human predecessor. Maybe that is why I lived in Spirato Village. Hoping to be chosen by one of the demon kings just... appealed to me. My story begins when Totosei came to our village late one night...

Woot! My second story on fanfic. I know it wasn't very long, but it was just; A) a sample of my fantastic writing. Muahahaha! B) The PROLOGUE Don't worry about getting more, I'll try and update as much as possible, with Maylia-Chan on my back, proboly once a week or so. 2000 words per chap perhaps... Read and review!
