Welcome to my idea of fun idea. I'm going to make a pile of one-shots that talk about rare ships and how they can work.

Primarily for fun and not anything serious. Now, to go over the general rules to let people know this is only for fun and to indulge my and, to an extent, your idea on ships and/or friendships stories.

Playable characters, NPC, and possible leaked characters can be used as long there is enough to make an educated guess on how it COULD go.

Here are a few examples of these ideas, if you want to see them in the future, let me know:

-Ganyu x Teppei

- Itto x Sucrose

- Amber x Shenhe

-Diluc x Dunyazard

- Cyno forced to babysit Klee

- Keaya x Ayato

- Qiqi helping Kuki

This is no way to be taken seriously nor taken as canon as this is all for fun at the end of the day.

This first chapter will be an Idea to show what I'm talking about.

Now that we cover that, let's begin with the fun with a ship that may or may not interest you!

Ganyu x Teppei

- Loving is a dangerous, but never a bad choice to have.

Ganyu stared into the stormy skies above her with a slightly apprehensive before she shook her head at those dark thoughts creeping in again. She knows she shouldn't blame the Electro Archon, for she didn't do anything in all reality and only did what she assumes was the correct course of action for her Nation.

She knows this. She reminds herself every time she sees the stormy skies and the rain that come with them.

But she can't help but be reminded of the night she was told of the terrible news of her Lover passing away in his homeland. And how the Traveler ran into the Fatui who took him away from her.

The one who the Electro Archon had let walk free and didn't properly handle.

The one that can be considered her 'son'.

Oh, how she can recall the shock and the emptiness she felt that night when the Traveler came back to Liyue after saving the Nation from itself.

(Flashback)

Ganyu was doing her usual overtime work hours, making sure everything was ready for the vacation she was gonna embark next week as she knew that the Traveler would have fixed the situation in Inazuma and allowed free travel between them again.

She had been to Inazuma a few times in the past for business purposes, but ever since she met a young man, she has been taking time out of the month to visit him and spent time with him. She would always be the most energetic at the idea of seeing him again she could work even harder and get them done even faster.

She wouldn't admit it out loud, as she know how childish it may sound from one like herself, but she did love the man she had been seeing and hoped they can be together forever. She use to worry that he may not have been faithful if she was gone for too long, or that once he learn of her half-blood nature, he would leave.

But even when she doubted him and argue with him, he never saw her as anything different.

"I may not know the full details of being half Quile, is that how you say it? A-anyway, I do know you are a sweet lady and I love Ganyu, the slightly awkward lady I met eating Naku Weed all those years ago. I would rather break up with you than cheat on you for such a petty reason. I love you, and I promise you that I would only see you as my lover. I'm more worried that you won't find me interesting enough to stay, but I promise, I will be a man worthy of you. I'll work hard and improve to be that man who can confidently stand next to you."

Those words had struck a core in her heart and ever since then, she trust him and his kind nature.

She has doubts, about what relationships don't. But she decided to take a chance on him and see if they can make it work.

And she had been pleasantly surprised they held out for five years now. She was shocked when she suddenly woke up on the 5th anniversary of their official relationship status. And she couldn't be happier.

But since the borders had been cut off to Inazuma suddenly, she had to rely on Beidou and her ship to sneak in almost bimonthly. She hate how she spent even less time with him and how they can only keep in contact with letters nowadays.

The last letter she has gotten was concerning to her, as it details that he join the Rebellion army and how he met the Traveler. She knows that in war, it is a huge blessing to see the next sunrise alive. She has been there and she knows the horrors and scars it leaves on a person.

Both mentally and physically. She was thankful for Cloud Retainer'sa and Rex lapis's guidance in those terrible times. She wouldn't have healed as much as did if they weren't there for her.

But she doesn't know if Teppei would have any support to rely on after the war, or if he survives to even bear those scars. It was never a pleasant thought to know it possible, but she can only pray to the Seven they would be kind enough to let him live.

Before she could let her thoughts wander, even more, she heard someone knock on her door, snapping her out of the daydream.

"Y-Yes. Please come in." Ganyu said as she put her pen down and folded her hands on the table.

She was expecting one of the staff to bring more paperwork, but to her surprise, the Traveler and Paimon walk with a bag.

"Hey Ganyu..." Paimon said solmely, without the usual energy she was known for.

Ganyu also notice how tired the Traveler look and how red their eyes were. They look ready to collapse at any moment.

"Hello Paimon and Traveler, I'm sorry for asking but are you two okay? You both look ready to pass out." Ganyu asks with a concerned frown.

Paimon opens her mouth to speak, but the Traveler just walks to the desk and places the bag on the desk, and pulls out a letter from their pocket. They place it on the bag as well. They bow, saying they are sorry and that they should have done more, then turn around and left without another word.

"W-wait Traveler! Paimon sorry Ganyu, but the Traveler haven't been in a good place mentally and they want to be alone for a while. Just know, the Traveler and Paimon wish we had done more or even realise sooner. We hope you can forgive us." Paimon said before she quickly follow after the Traveler.

Ganyu's expression went from surprise to concern at those words. She look worriedly at the bag and was scared to open it and the letter. But she took a deep breath and reach for the letter first.

When she open it and read its content, detailing what the Traveler and the Rebels had recorded on what happened, she could gasp in horror as she read and then started crying. And it only got worst as she open the bag and saw the content of the bag.

A Captain Uniform.

The same one she read in her last letter. The Uniform he was most excited about receiving and showing off to her.

The rain seems to pick the worst time to pour that night.

(Flashback end)

Since then, Ganyu had been working extra hard and running herself rag in an attempt to bury her depression. She barely allows any free time she use to have and just works. She knows it wasn't a healthy coping method, but she can't bear to stop and start recalling those days long gone now.

She doesn't want to be in her home, hugging the uniform in some vain attempt to feel his warmth. She was tired of feeling sorry for herself, but every time she tried to get up from bed and leave, she couldn't do it.

It took all her willpower to even get ready to work and leave, she almost turn around and head back home. But she force herself to work and hadn't stopped since then.

And this moment when their no work, or to be more accurate, where she was forced on a break, she could only stare at the rain and recall the Balleder, the one who took Teppei from her.

She felt nothing but resentment toward him and toward the Radien Shogun for making him. She hates them both.

She is mature enough to know she shouldn't be acting like this, but what else can she do?

She had a burning hatred in her heart for the Balleder and everything connected to him.

Ganyu sighed as she held her face in her hands and try to wipe the tears from her face again. Her thoughts had been filled with nothing but Teppei and his antics to wow her.

She would recall how Teppei attempted to make dinner for her but end up making food she couldn't eat. He didn't stop apologizing and went out to buy veggie dinner for her. She had to stop herself from giggling at his expression as she found it really sweet that he care for her like that and even wrote down all the food she could eat. She try to assure him he didn't have to go that far, but he insisted on it so he can properly make dinner next time for her.

Or the time he try to win her that prize at the festival and then discovered the game was rig on his third attempt. She manage to beat it as soon as he point out how unfair it was. The look on the vendor and Teppei always made her laugh as she recall it. Teppei felt shame that he couldn't even beat the vendor and had her step up to make up for him. She assures him that she had an unfair advantage that humans lack and try to comfort him, which work after Teppei cuddle with her later as they watch the firework.

And speaking of fireworks, he had custom made for her and even pay good money for them. He said the material needed for his would be hard to get, but he pay for it all the same and got the Firework special ticket to always get the same firework again anytime in the future. He gave it to her and told her to hold, as a sign that he truly love and trust her. She had been so touched and had to keep it safe in her little treasure box next to her bed.

She recalls how the first time she allow him to cuddle her, he was careful to not touch her horns. He was aware she didn't like people touching it and he was a gentleman about it. And the bright smile he had on his face when she allow him to pet her horns. She couldn't look him in the face for a while afterward out of pure awkwardness on her part.

The more she recalls these memories, the more she cried.

She hated how pathic she felt. She hate how her world seem to crumble around her and how it suddenly grew colder.

She hates how she recalls all the warnings she got from Cloud Retainer about loving a mortal and how it a bad idea.

Ganyu finally understood that Cloud Retainer didn't hate Teppei or found them disgusting, but she was only worried about the heartbreak she would endure when she outlive him.

And the rotten irony is that he did die of old age, but not in the way it should have been.

She try once more to dry her tears before she jump as she heard a clank on the table.

"M-mr Zhongli? W-what are you doing here?" Ganyu asks as she tries to regain her composer for the man in front of her.

"I merely came to check on you Ganyu. I had heard of the tragedy that befall your lover not that long ago from Master Hu Tao." Zhongli answered as he pick up the teapot he brought with him and started to pour a cup of tea.

"O-oh? I'm sorry for not greeting you properly." Ganyu said after finally calming down a bit to talk to the man in front of her and thankful for the chance to distract herself from her thoughts.

Zhongli simply smile and offer her a cup of tea to her without another word and sat down across from her.

They sat in silence and drank the tea without another word. The air was a bit tense, but Ganyu couldn't understand why she felt a bit at peace with the man across from her. She felt like he was a close friend despite never talking to him that much. Odd she would admit, but she didn't care at that moment.

"Mr. Zhongli, I'm sorry to ask a question so rudely and in such a poor manner, but have you ever lost someone important to you?" Ganyu ask as she got uncomfortable with the silence.

She kicks herself in her mind for just an inelegant way to ask a question. She was gonna apologize for such rudeness, but Zhongli gave a quiet chuckle, almost like he was waiting for that specific question from her.

"I lost many close ones. From those I deem family, to even one whom I suppose could have been my Lover if I wasn't so ignorant and full of myself. So yes, I'm no stranger to loss. I would assume you never felt lost like this and want advice to handle it." Zhongli answered as he sips his tea with a gentle expression.

It felt like a father talking to his child in Ganyu's mind, but she push that thought away for now.

" , your right. I am asking cause I need advice. I've been working more hours than I should and doing everything I can to avoid thinking about him. But it seems to only make it worst. I'm just hurting myself more when trying to avoid the subject." Ganyu admitted with shame.

"It's fine Ganyu. That is a natural reaction to loss. Everyone handles grief differently and you shouldn't feel ashamed for doing what you're doing. I'm delighted you are aware and aren't trying to deny the problem. So there is hope yet." Zhongli answered as he put the teacup down and cross his arms.

"Now, where should I start? I suppose I should start by saying, that grief can't just go away, no matter how much you wish for it. But you shouldn't let it consume you as well and just give up. I would suggest that you get proper rest, and focus on smaller tasks. Like getting up and getting water. Focus on smaller, but important tasks and gradually go from there, but also take time to rest and give yourself moments to recall happier memories. It not gonna be an easy journey to self recovering, but that's fine. That means you truly care for this man." Zhongli explain calmly as he uncross his arms and went to grab his teacup again.

"I-I see. I suppose that makes sense. But I don't think I can handle the grief as easily if I'm not busy." Ganyu admitted sadly.

"Neither did I. And to this day, I left wondering if I heal at all. Or am I simply able to handle the grief better with time? But it is better to not let it be bottled up and have it explode on you later down the line. The damage needs to be dealt with in a calm manner. Little things can help." Zhongli said with a tired sigh, his eyes suddenly seem older, but she focused again.

Ganyu almost miss it and wanted to press it, but she couldn't bring herself to as the man in front of her was so kind to her.

"... Why does missing someone hurts so much when you love them so dearly?" Ganyu asks, barely above a murmur to Zhongli.

Zhongli paused as if he didn't ever think of that question himself until now. She supposes that makes sense. She herself has not even thought of that til now.

But after a moment of silence, he spoke once more.

"I suppose being missed so dearly, is the price for being loved so much," Zhongli answered as he closes his eyes and for a moment, as if he tried to calm himself down from the tears that would have threatened to arise from a painful, but lovely memory.

Ganyu said nothing more after that.

They sat in silence for a while longer before Zhongli had to retire for the night. He bid her farewell and told her he is always available to talk if she want to. And then left without another word.

Ganyu decided it best to call it a night as well and go home for a proper rest.

So after clocking and bidding everyone goodnight, she left.

She miss how Ninnguang gave a relieved smile as Zhongli was behind a pillar.

"... You're a bold one to ask a deadman to talk to her," Zhongli said softly.

"I suppose. But she needed guidance from you once more. She is a dear friend of mine and pains me to see herself hurting like that." Ningguang answered with a small smile.

"Besides, you were already coming to see her. I just gave you the teapot." She added with a small and knowing smirk.

"Heh. If I didn't know any better. I would assume you were kitsune than human. Oh well, I did what I could for Ganyu. The rest is up to her now." Zhongli said as he begin to leave.

"Of course. Thank you for your help, 'Zhongli'. I hope your life as a mortal will be a peaceful one." Ningguang said softly.

Zhongli said nothing as he simply wave and left.

(Ganyu house)

Ganyu arrive home, she took a warm bath to help with the aches had from working none stop for a couple of days. She changes into her night goat theme comfy that Teppei bought for her in an attempt as a gag gift.

He was lucky he was cute and the clothes were really comfortable to wear to bed.

He was on thin ice for a while.

Ganyu sighed as she was already recalling memories when she got home. She flops down on the bed she left a mess. She pulls the covers over her and attempts to bury herself in bed, but stops as she felt a familiar fabric of clothing and almost breaks. But she took a deep breath and recall Zhongli's advice.

She remove the covers a bit to look at the uniform once more and gave a sad smile.

"You would have looked amazing in it Dear. I hope you know how proud of you I am. And that I hope you found peace as you close your eyes." Ganyu said softly as she folded the Uniform and placed it on the table next to the bed.

She lay back down and silently try to doze off to sleep with the memories of the past replaying in her mind.

That night, she had a lovely dream. A dream where she was fully human and Teppei's wife. They had a child and they live happily in Liyue.

A lone tear fell from her face as she knew it was only a dream, but she will accept it as a possible life she could have had with her lover.

Months from now, she would be invited to save the Dendro Archon from the same man who took her Teppei away from her. And wouldn't hesitate to remind him he a mortal compare to her lord and would take pleasure to see him beg as something important get taken from him.

She would take pleasure in knowing that retribution came for him and that Teppei was avenged.

But until then, she would live each day in a slow matter to pull herself together again and hopefully find peace once more.

And done. Man, this was a lot more fun and sad to write out.

Hopefully, I didn't go overboard on the whole depression Ganyu went through. I only had myself to off of. But I digress.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the story.

Tell me what you think of it and what possible idea you have for a ship or friendship idea.

And no generic ones, please. We are looking for ones that many wouldn't think of and try to put a spin on those idea's.
