The rest of the car ride was peaceful. Elliot and Happy would occasionally make small talk but they both liked their comfortable silences.

Finally she arrived, MidTown High. The place where you can find the smart kids and well off semi-rich kids. She was a mix of both. She's been here before she moved into the tower a couple months ago.

Tony was going to offer Peter and her a spot at the avengers. Peter declined saying he was better off being a smaller, new-york-exclusive hero. She also declined but Tony had an offer on top of that.

He knew her living situation, she has a dad… who's in jail for life, and has an aunt who is in rehab for drug / alcohol addiction. She visits her dad every other week, but the last time she saw her aunt was years ago. She just wasn't well enough to talk to outside people. She should really look into visiting her again but for 1 reason or another she can't.

She's been fostered for the past couple of years. It was sad not really having a home to your name. Hoping from 1 foster home to another definitely drains you. But she's alway had Ned and Peter as her friends. Now adding mj (Michelle Jones) and Penny (Penelope).

Tony brought her aside and asked if she wanted to stay at the tower, to live. At that moment she was so, so happy. Of course she said yes right away. The part of being fostered was that, after a while she stopped trying to get attached to people because she knew she probably wouldn't be there for long anyway. Well she didn't have to worry about that any more.

"Hey Ned, how's it going?" She asked happy to see him.

"Oh hey Elliot I'm doing pretty good, you?" They got close enough to do the handshake Ned, Peter, and her shared.

"Ah you know, same old same old." She answered with a shrug.

"Oh Elliot, are you down to meet up at Peter's house?!" He asked with a sudden boost of energy

"Uhm it would depend on the day, and time, AND what we were doing" she gave him a playful stern look as she opened her locker.

"And what do you mean by that!?" He looked at her shocked and offended. T

hey started walking to English.

"Look Ned, I love hanging out but I'm kinda bored of star wars marathons." He was about to say something but she continued. "AH, look I like star wars as much as the next guy. But we've seen the movies back to back 4 times already!"

"WELL… shoot you have a point" Ned made a look of defeat "but that's not why I want us to meet up!"

She was interested now "Oh really? What are we gonna do?" She gave him an alright-go-on look and he continued.

"Bur bur-bur-brrrrr" he simulated trumpets which made her crack a smile. "TA DAAAAAA" he finally said, holding up a Legos instruction booklet for some set.

"Dude you got a new Lego set can I see?!" She got the booklet after Ned noded joyfully. "You got the AT-AT?!" again Ned noded proudly

"How much did it cost?" She asked while just as they were about to enter the class. "Honestly I don't know, my mom always makes sure to take off any price tag from the gifts she gets me." He said with a shrug "damn you're lucky though, I'll for sure come to Pete's house to help build that! I'll buy the snacks what do-"

Her excitement was interrupted the teacher clearing her throat. Crap, she may be quiet most of the time but she can get loud when she's showing a lot of emotion. Like right now. She croaked out an "I'm sorry'' and sank into her chair red faced. Ned patted her in the back and smiled. Her redness faded away and she smiled back.
