"Tony, Pepper Im home!" announced as she walked out. "Tony? Pepper?" she asked as she walked into the empty kitchen. "Is anyone in-"
She freezes as she sees the avengers in the living room seemingly waiting for her. Tony, Rhodey, Steve, Bucky, Sam, Bruce, Nat, Wanda, Vision, and Clint.
"Oh hey guys" she says with a beat of sweat rolling off her forehead.
"Oh hey elliot come have a seat" Bucky said with a malicious look. Oh no they know whats up. Maybe she can just play coy and everything will be ok.
"Uh yea sure? What's up?" she asked, putting her acting skills to the test.
Nat saw right through her right away. "Don't play coy, there are 3 trained assassins in this room. Your little theater kid "skills" won't work here."
Elliot feels her blood run cold. "I dont know what you're talking about nat '' she tried to smooth things over with a chuckle but it just came out nervous.
"Yea sure you dont" clint said unamused.
Ok next plan deflect she can see clint has his arrows on him she could use that.
"Wait, Clint, did you make a new trick arrow?" She diverted her attention and put on a show.
"No i haven't made a new arrow in weeks" he says raising a brow
"Really? Then I don't think I've seen that one in action. Hey we should go to the training room to try it-" Steve put his hand on her shoulder to stop her from getting up.
"Ok, ok, fine you want to hear it from my own mouth! Yes, I have a field trip to the tower. Yes, I'm going to be here as a student for 2 days. Damn it, i knew you guys knew already i dont know why yall wanna torture me." finally sinking back in her chair, her face flushed red.
Everyone took off their interrogation faces off and laughed. She stood up to leave when Rhodey stopped her and put an arm around her shoulder.
"Now Elliot we don't wanna torture you. Where did you even get an idea like that?" he said with a grin spread across his face. Elliot just swatted his arm away and faced every one in the room
"Look I know you guys will use this field trip to just humiliate me the entire time. I don't want to look like a fool in front of the class especially not in front of pe-" she interrupts herself by clearing her throat "Just, just no one" she finished lamely and red faced.
Everyone noticed right away.
Wanda stood forward "ah, who were you going to say?"
"What I didn't mean anyone specificity its just that my theater club and the decathlon team is gonna be there. That's a lot of people."
"No you said "i don't want to look like a fool especially not in front of pe-". Who were you going to say?"
Sam came forward with a gasp. "Elliot! Do you have a crush? You gotta tell us who it is!"
"What no I don't, I don't have a crush where did you get that from?!" her face was like a tomato she's sure of it.
Vision came from in back of her. He put his hand on her shoulder causing her to jump a bit. "Well you have the symptoms of a crush Elliot. Blushing, sweating, a raised pulse, and dilated pupils. There's nothing to be embarrassed about, crushes are completely normal in young adolescents such as yourself"
"Ew no, I don't want to be lectured about this kind of stuff. Especially not from you guys. Aren't I traumatized enough by steves psa they made us watch in the health assembly."
"ELLIOT! I thought I told you to be quiet about those!" it was steves turn to be red faced
"Oh no, you made a psa about puberty?!" Bruce asked as sam and Bucky were cackling on the floor.
"NO… maybe" Steve looked like he wanted to die. This will be her fate Friday and Saturday so might as well start building up her karma.
"Look, can I just get an "I promise I won't embarrass you to death Friday and saturday." That's all I want… please" Elliot said, basically begging on the floor.
They all did a team huddle up thing whispering to each other
Tony came forward "Fine kid we promise we won't embarrass you to death on the" he said so but his tone didn't change that
"I don't believe you guys will actually follow through but I don't have any other option than to leave it at ."
