Chapter One

The telescreen flashed at full volume with the sound of a trumpet.
"Attention all citizens of Oceana, our forces on the Arabian Front have completely repelled enemy forces from the vicinity of Jerusalem. I am authorized to say that this will bring the war within measurable distance of its end, in other news 589,242 enemy prisoners have been taken, the hangings of captured prisoners will be televised from nine-o clock to eighteen-o clock tomorrow, all citizens.................."
Ronald awoke with disgusted thoughts in his mind, there was nothing he hated more than being aroused by these pigs broadcasts, he hated the party and everything that it stood for.
Ronald Reagan was citizen number 67804532 living in the second most populous city of Oceana, City Two, on the western seaboard of Continent One. Ronald's age was unknown to him, though he believed himself to be in his sixties.
After his hateful awakening, Ronald indulged in his favorite activity; staring hatefully at the visage of Big Brother.
"How I hate him" he thought "if I got a chance to inflict any physical harm upon his person, why I'd do it."
Ronald's glance then switched to the Ingsoc insignia at the bottom of his telescreen.
"Ha, how easily I tricked them."
Ronald was referring to the action he took years ago. To avoid the constant stare of the Thought Police, he re-wired his telescreen to some poor sap living in his apartment building. Big Brother then had two eyes gazing on the person. To then slip out of society for good. He destroyed all records of his existence at the Ministry of Truth. All he had to do then was steal a few seeds from a farm in the country. Then simply grow his own crops inside a section of his home while eating stockpiled rations and drinking sink water.
It had been almost a month now since Ronald set foot outside his apartment. In that time he had conspired almost to the limit of human ability to conspire.
A few months ago, Ronald had managed to sneak down to the Proletarian quarters and buy a book entitled: The History of The World and its Inhabitants. He had read it, and re-read it, and finally thought up some ideas for a revolution.
