A/N So while I was thinking about how to write this story I had saw the original design for Ryuk. And then I thought what if it was a attractive female instead. This will not be the ship she is too evil. Now let's see how far I can take this story.
Izuku Midroriya is a smart kid, A top student in Japan. But because he wasn't blessed with a quirk no one takes notice of him. In this society you are defined by your quirk. A unique ability that 80 percent of the world has. Even though he didn't have a quirk their was one thing he wanted to be a hero. Nobody believed he had a chance. Izuku still had hope however. Until he meet his idol the number one hero All Might.
"To answer your question no I don't think you can be a hero without a quirk. It's okay to dream but make sure your dreams are realistic." Izuku was heartbroken the number one hero didn't even believe in him. Izuku walked home depressed there was a explosion in the background but Izuku didn't stop to check it out.
A few months later
Raynare was an attractive young woman with violet eyes having a slender body With a large bust. She had long silky black hair down to her hips and possessed two black feathered wings. She was bored out of her mind. Being a Shinigani is boring.
"I'm board." Raynare said to the Shinigani king who was watching different universes. He was currently watching a pirate fight a dragon.
"We're all board." The old man replied trying to find a different universe to watch as if he's flipping through the T.V.
"What's the point in sitting here watching humans all day?" Raynare asked
"Some of these worlds are interesting."
"Humans interesting, don't make me laugh." Raynare said she doesn't like humans. And thinks of them as beneath her.
"Let me tell you a story." The old man said
"Does this story have anything to do with me?"
"You said you were bored, so it might entertain you." Raynare didn't say anything after that, she just let him get on with his story.
"There was once a Shinigani named Ryuk He was bored with this world. Ryuk decided to steal another death note, write down instructions on how to use it, then he dropped it on Earth hoping that a human would pick it up, so that he could follow him around and be entertained."
"He gave a human the death note just to be entertained?" Raynare was shocked, but it put an idea in her mind.
"He didn't give me details about what happened while he was on earth, but he said that it was very fun and entertaining."
"Hmm, I'm almost out of pages in my death note." Raynare said, she wrote down all the names of everybody she hated the moment she got the death note. She made sure that they would die in the most painful way she can think of.
"You want another notebook so you can try it out, don't you?" The old man stated
"How did you know?"
"Here, just bring me back some apples." The old man said just handing her a brand new death note.
Back on earth
Izuku was spacing out in class still thinking about that day he meet All Might. It turns out Bakugou had got captured by the same villain All Might saved him from. Looking out the window he sees a notebook fall from the sky. Which is weird considering there's no trees, or windows it could've fell from.
School was over and Izuku walked out of the building. He saw the Notebook that fell from nowhere. Curiosity got the better of him as He went to take a look.
'Death Note.' Izuku Read the cover he quickly looked around to see if anyone was watching. Luckily he was the last one to leave. Opening up the notebook he found instructions.
'The person who's name is written in this notebook will die.'
After reading that little part Izuku closed up the book.
'This must be some type of prank.' His thought's didn't stop him from taking the book home with him, however.
Izuku was in his room reading the rest of the instructions. Thankfully he new English because that's the language it's written in.
It will not take affect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
If the cause of death is written within the next 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen.
If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack.
After writing the cause of death details of the death should be written within the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
'Wow if this is a prank they sure did go overboard with it.' Izuku thought after he finished reading the instructions.
'I don't want to test it because if it's real then It'll make me a murder.' Izuku decided to put the book away.
After a few hours he was surfing the many news apps on his phone. He was checking to see anything about heroes, or a new hero.
There was a livestream of heroes detaining a villain they just captured. He managed to kill nine people including police officers. Death arms, kamui woods, and MT Lady Was able to stop him. Izuku didn't get to see the fight. Just him being detained. When A picture of the man's face, and name popped up on the screen. Izuku thought about the Notebook. Grabbing the Notebook and fetching a pen. Izuku started writing the person's name.
"Hmm, A heart attack an 40seconds, yea right." Izuku said watching the livestream
The heroes and police officers were escorting the man into a police car. When all of a sudden he collapsed holding his chest. The pro heroes, and police were in a panic.
"What's this it seems like the villain just collapsed. Death arms is giving CPR." The reporter live-streaming said
"Ok we just got confirmation. The villain is dead. He just had a sudden heart attack. The police and heroes are now investigating the bystanders now. Maybe it was someone's quirk. We'll continue to update you as soon as possible."
Izuku quickly turned off the livestream.
"H Holy carp I I just K killed someone."
'Wait a minute, he was a monster.' Izuku thought trying to justify the killing.
'This world robbed me of a quirk. I can create a better world with this notebook. Villains would be to scared to commit crimes. I can take down corruption. Through threats and intimidations. I can change the world. Watch me All Might I will become a hero one why or another.'
For the past five days Izuku was looking up criminals who committed awful crimes. Murder, sexual assault etc. He started taking them out All over the world. However He only went after major criminals for now.
"It's been five days, someone should've picked up the notebook by now." Raynare said
"Are you leaving now?" The old man asked
"Yea, this better be worth it." Raynare said as she can't believe she has to stay by the human who picked up the death note. She plans on killing them if they're not entertaining her.
Izuku arrived home from school ready to take out some more criminals. Opening the door to his room he saw a young woman looking through the Death note.
"My My, look at how many names you've written down." Raynare said
"Izuku started to panic. Hey what are you doing here?That's mine, give it here."
"Yours Huh, HaHaHaHa... judging by your reaction you know that this isn't a normal notebook. Here you can have it." Raynare said handing Izuku the notebook.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Raynare a former Fallen angel, and currently a Shinigani"
Izuku looked at her skeptically. "How do I know your not just someone with a wing quirk?"
'What the hell is a quirk?' Raynare thought as she has never been to this world.
"Because you're the only one who can see me, If someone else were to walk in the room right now it'll look like your talking to yourself." At this time his mom knocks on the door. "Oh, Goody open it." Raynare said while smirking. While Izuku went to open the door.
"Hey, I made you some cookies. I know it must be hard for you to resend your application to U.A." Inko says walking into the room.
'Mom can't see her.' Izuku thought glancing at Raynare who was still smirking.
"Oh, it's okay I actually applied to get into Matsubara High school. It's one of the most prestigious schools in Japan."
"That's great honey, I hope you get in." Inko said
When his mom was finally out of the room Izuku locked the door, and looked back at the Shinigani in his room. "Alright, I believe you. A shinigani, a god of death."
"why don't you write down the cause of death? Seems pretty Lame just killing people with a heart attack." Raynare said going through the death note again.
"Because it won't be long before people start to realize that these criminals are dying. I want the world to know that there is someone out there killing villains."
"Why do you care about killing bad guys?"
"Unlike the rest of the world I wasn't born with a power. I was told to give up by everybody even by the hero I idealized the most told me I couldn't, so if I can't become a hero then I will become a god."
"HaHaHaHa you a god, you're just a human who stumbled onto a notebook." Raynare was laughing hysterically at him.
"Now I have a question. Why did you give me this book?"
"you thought I gave you that notebook, No I dropped it and you picked it up. I wanted to have some fun. I get no pleasure in killing humans. So I thought why not throw that death note down here and see how much fun I can have.
You should know that any human who uses the death note can not go to Heaven or Hell for eternally. I have to following you around until the death note is finished or I see you die which ever comes first."
The next day
Izuku was getting ready for school. Raynare was still hanging around. He was about to put the Death note in his backpack until Raynare advised against it.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, If someone else touches the Death note they will be able to see me too."
Izuku stopped when he heard that. He couldn't take it to school. Izuku knew that some kids stole from his backpack. Taking it to school was not an option. He would need a good hiding spot.
"Hey, out of curiosity what would happen if I were to lose it?"
"Nothing it will just be lost, however if you don't want it then give it to someone else, but if you do that then I will need to erase your memories of it."
"That's some useful information." Izuku stated that may come in handy in the future.
Izuku went to school and the universe decided to mess with him today. Bakugou's bullying has become worse every since he got captured by that sludge villain. He needed something to feel superior and picking on Izuku is the perfect way to boost his ego.
"Hey, Deku!" Izuku turned around and was met with an explosion to the face, that made him fall on his back.
Izuku sat up and looked around he saw Bakugou standing over him, he saw teachers and students not caring about his situation. As Bakugou was about to hit him, but Izuku's instincts kicked in and he ended up kicking him. Normally a kick wouldn't hurt him. However, nobody can survive a kick to the nuts. Bakugou crouched over in pain. And Izuku took the opportunity to push him, Bakugou ended up falling down the stairs.
All of the students gathered around to see what just happened. A teacher went to go check on Bakugou and another one dragged Izuku to the principal office.
Izuku sat in the principal office while Bakugou went to the nurse after he fell. The principal walked in the office and glared at Izuku with disgust.
"Midroriya, why did you push Bakugou down the stairs?" The man asked
"I was defending myself, he used his quirk to attack me." Izuku replied
"We're lucky he wasn't hurt. However, something must be done about this incident. I've had my bosses here visiting the school and that was embarrassing to our school. So, I'm going to need to set an example." Izuku breath a sigh of relief thinking that Bakugou will be punished for what just happened.
"Bakugou will be let off with a warning and will be prohibited from using his quirk at school. However, for you Izuku, you will be expelled for pushing him down the stairs." The principal said leaving Izuku shocked.
"Are you kidding me, why am I getting expelled?" Izuku asked
"Something needed to be done, they demand that somebody be punished."
Izuku took a deep breath and calmed himself down. "It's okay, I'll leave. Bakugou is going to U.A that will bring honor and prestige to this school. So, you obviously can't expell him." Izuku took off his school badge and threw it on the desk. "I don't need to be escorted, I know where the exit is at." Izuku walked out of the office and out of the school.
"You're going to kill him, aren't you?" Raynare asked as she saw the entire thing. She also saw the principal lifespan drop tremendously.
"No, I'm going to kill all of them." Izuku replied with determination in his voice.
Izuku isn't a hero, he also isn't a villain, he is justice.
