Sam Smallclaw was a curious otter. Back during her teenage years, she listened to what was on the charts, most notable Gazelle. However, when the star ended up in Prison, she tried something else. One day, she stumbled across a band by the name of "Sabaton". Curious to check them out, she clicked on the zootube llink for their song "To Hell And Back". Immediately, she was blown away. That moment would change her forever from being a pop fan to being a hardcore metalhead (all otters become metalheads at some point in their life. Yes, many go through country, pop, rap, and techno phases, but all mustelids eventually become hardcore metalheads because METAL IS FOREVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR! \m/).

Sam was particularly fascinated by the power metal genre. The soaring, operatic vocals, the epic guitar solos, and the mystical keyboards. Inspired, she decided to become a keyboard player, playing along to bands such as Nightwish, Beast In Black, Gloryhammer, Alestorm, and Twilight Fox. She loved the genre and very quickly became a very skilled player. When not working as a waitress at different restaurants, she'd go and play her keyboard during free time and listen to metal.

Fast forward to a few years after the events of Zootopia+

Sam was sitting in her room wearing her Powerwolf t-shirt. Nowadays, her dream was to join a band and tour the world.

"Faster, faster, faster than the flame!" she sang as she scrolled through her phone.

Suddenly an ad popped up on Facebook.

"WE ARE AN UPSTART BAND" the ad said, "IN SEARCH OF A KEYBOARD PLAYER. WE DON'T WANT TO USE A BACKING TRACK. IF INTERESTED, PLEASE COME TO 666 BERGEN STREET IN TUNDRATOWN IF INTERESTED!"

"Oh shit!" she said, "I got a chance."

She immediately grabbed her Keytar and rushed down the stairs.

"Hey mom!" she shouted in her Australian accent, "I've gotta go somewhere!"

"Okay!" her mother said.

She ran out of the house and immediately on a metro train. She could barely contain her excitement. She would finally be able to play in a band. Once the train stopped at the Bergen Street stop, she ran out and romped up the escalator with the keytar on her back.

"666 BERGEN STREET THERE IT IS!"

She approached a large, red, nordic style house and knocked on the door.

"HEY SNOWY! GET THE DOOR!" someone said from the other side.

The door opened. An Arctic Fox, maybe a bit younger than her and wearing Sabaton shirt, stood at the entrance.

"Hey there!" the fox said, "are you auditioning for our band?"

"Why yes I am," Sam replied, "I'm Sam Smallclaw and I want to be your keyboard player."

"Alright," said the Arctic Fox, "well, I'm Snowy Lucifer Celsius Broden; lead vocals. Let me take you to the practice room."

"You guys have a practice room?" Sam said excitedly.

"Why yes we do," Snowy said, "the whole band is here, follow me."

Sam entered the practice room. There was soundproofing foam on the walls, and all sorts of instruments. A Red Fox and a rabbit sat tuning their guitars, A Fennec Fox was practicing his bass skills, and a Short-Tailed Weasel was adjusting his drumkit.

"Well," said Sam, "This is the band!"

"it is," said the Red Fox, "by the way I'm Nick Wilde; lead guitar."

"Judy Hopps; lead and rhythm"

"Finnick Honeycutt; bass."

"Duke Weaselton; drums and percussion."

"And we are Dethbrush!"

"Alrighty then," Sam replied, "I'm Sam Smallclaw and I hope to be your keyboard player."

"Well," Nick said, "you totally can."

"Thank you!" Sam said as she squealed with excitement.

"Well," Judy said, "here you go!"

She started playing a recording of the band's song "Take The Stage," which was released a few months prior off of their debut album. Sam loved it and liked the keyboard part.

"Well," Duke said, "All of the keyboard parts on the album were recorded by session musicians, and we relied on a backing track to perform them live."

"We were playing the European festival circuit," Finnick said, "We had just walked offstage and run into the members of Dimmu Badger."

"Hell yeah!" Sam replied, "I love me some Dimmu."

"Well they said they really enjoyed our set," said Snowy, "but it would be better if we had a keyboard player instead of just relying on backing tracks."

"Very nice!" Sam replied happily, "I already memorize the song and can be ready to play it."

"Alright," Snowy said as the members picked up their instruments, "count us off, Duke."

Duke Weaselton counted off as the band went into the song. Each member played and sang their heart out. Sam was so excited she couldn't even fully register what was going on. All she could feel was pure bliss.

When the band members finished the song, everyone looked at Sam slackjawed.

"Holy shit!" Nick said.

"This kid is a natural," said Judy.

"Wait," Sam said, with blooming excitement, "does this mean-"

"You're in the band!"

"YES!" Sam shouted loudly as she pranced around the room, "I AM IN A BAND! I AM IN A BAND! I! AM! IN! A! METAL! BAND!"

"Hell yeah you are!" Snowy said, "also, I have an idea that we re-record our album with Sam on it and she can do additional vocals. I heard her singing along."

"Oh thank you all so much!" Sam said as she hugged each member individually, "Oh my god I can't believe this is happening."

"It's happening," Duke said, "btw we leave on tour in a few weeks."

"I know you will be able to learn the parts!" Finnick said.

"Hell yeah!" Sam shouted.

She ran back to the metro and got off in the Rainforest District. There, she ran into her house.

"MOM! YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED!"

"What happened?" her mother asked.

"I JUST JOINED A BAND! NO MORE WAITING AT RESTAURANTS FOR ME! I AM GOING ON TOUR!"

"Samantha," her mother said, "I am so proud of you. You finally got your dream."

The two hugged.

"Well," Sam said, "I got songs to practice."
