"Eldarion, you brought maps, right?" Alassë asked her brother as they rode northeast to Isengard.

"I'm not stupid, Alassë, of course I brought maps. Why, haven't you memorized them all, sitting in the library for hours?" he answered

"I haven't memorized all of them! I just want to see the one of Middle Earth. Can I see it?" she replied.

"Sure." he said. He dug through his bag and pulled out the map of Middle Earth and handed it to her.

She looked through it for the rest of the hour as they rode on. Before they knew it the sun was rising.

"I'm hungry" Naramie said, as the sun fully rose.

"We should stop for a bit. Eat some breakfast. Give the horses a break. Besides we're all tired and you know it." Nessa said.

"Ok. You're right. Lets just get up to that ridge there, then we'll stop for breakfast." Eldarion said.

When they got to the ridge, they found the perfect coverage for resting. They only way you could see them is if you were right above them. The got a fire started, with dry sticks, so there wasn't any smoke to give them away. That was the last thing they wanted. To be caught when they were so close to Minas Tirith. They needed to find their parents, because they didn't have the money to pay the ransom.

After they had breakfast Nessa and Naramie layed down and fell asleep before they set out again. Alassë on the other hand, sat down against a tree looking at the maps.

"What are you doing, Alassë? Shouldn't you try and rest up before we set out?" Eldarion asked.

"I'm trying to figure out how far we've come and how far we still have to go. And we're not even sure they're really at Isengard are we?" Alassë said. She sounded on the verge of hysterics.

"We do know that they were headed to Isengard, Lass! Trust me, those footprints were from Haradrim boots. Dad made me study different styles of armour, and Haradrim armour was one of them. I know their boots. They're going to Isengard. And they can't be far ahead of us either. Come on, cheer up!" Eldarion replied.

"You want me to cheer up! My parents have been kidnapped! Have you forgotten that little detail!? We have to find them! We have to!" and with that she broke down crying into her brother's shoulder.

"It's okay. We'll find them." Eldarion told her reassuringly.

After Alassë cried herself to sleep, Eldarion got up so that he didn't fall asleep and could wake the girls up when it ws time to set out again. As he got up he saw the maps Alassë was looking at. There were markings all over them. When he looked closer he saw that they were a whole bunch of different routes to get to Isengard. One of them was circled. It went to Osgiliath then followed the Anduin until the Emyn Muil then went straight on West until it got to Isengard. He saw that next to it was written "Talk to Eldarion about this route" in Alassë's neat handwriting. He picked up the pencil lying next to the map and wrote "Eldarion says we should take this route" and left her.
