Prologue

The woman looked exausted, but overjoyed. The bearded, tanned, man standing behigned her beamed. Even the midwife, allmost as exausted as the new mother, was smiling as she handed the newborn babe to his mother.

"What shall you call him?" the smiling midwife asked

As the young woman spoke the name; Carsib, her child smiled.

How could he, how could any of them have know what was in store for the family. How could this beutiful mother have known, as she watched her now sleeping infant, that she had just pronounced the first name of the boy who would later become the Shade, Durza, a man destaind for far more than the little desert tribe could give him?
