A/N: This is my first Naruto story. I do not own the anime, that belongs to it's rightful owner. I only own my OC Hakari.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Hakari Shamaro is thirteen years old. She lives in a small house with her brother and sister, she also has no parents. She has been wanting to go to the Ninja Academy. Because she has been wanting to be a ninja.

Her parents were ninjas before they passed. They were both members of the hokage. Her mother was one of the leaders, and her father was someone…not so important.

As Hakari got older, she started seeing things more often. Random things, that did not make sense. But when she was twelve, she was able to tell what will happen in the future.

It turns out, that this girl. Has powers that can make her see the future. And her name, is Hakari Shamaro.

Hakari is waking up in her small cot, she realizes she forgot to make her bed last night. So, she takes out a small tool and starts making the bed.

She notices her sister Yakari doing something to her bed spread. "What are you doing?" Hakari asked her sister.

"I am making my bed. So, I can have a nice date with Sasuke!"

"You already have a boyfriend?"

"Yes… Is that great?"

"No. That is not great."

"Why?"

"Because, you say you will be sleeping with him."

"Eww. No."

"Then, why do you keep on talking about it. And why are you making your bed nice."

"Because I can."

Hakari left the house, and went all the way to the school. When she got there she saw a bunch of students sitting around.

She even saw one inparticular, one student that stood out to her. His name was Naruto Uzumaki. As it said on his name tag.

She could easily tell people's names by reading their name tag and seeing their power. Hakari loves school, she did when they were in Japan.

She lived in the time, where Japan wasn't really a state or a country yet.

She lived in it, when it was just getting started.

As she took her seat, the Naruto kid came over to her. Smiling and offering his hand out.

"Thanks. What's your name?"

"I am Naruto…Naruto Uzumaki."

Wow, he seems so nice. She thought.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

"Ok."

"I guess we are in the same class."

"Yeah."

"Is the teacher nice?"

"Not exactly."

"How come?"

"Iruka-sensi. Isn't the best."

"He is really strict and gets me in trouble all the time."

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry."

"Why not?"

"You do not need to feel bad for me, Hakari."

"How do you know my name?"

"Your name tag."

"Oh."

Hakari couldn't help but feel slight attraction to this guy. She looked across and saw her sister flirting with Sasuke, it was a bit weird. But it also was interesting to see.

Naruto took it upon himself to make it stop, he did not want them making out.

"Naruto. What are you doing?"

"Nothing."

"Oh."

"Why? What do you think I was doing."

"Nothing."

"Good."

Naruto kept on looking at the couple, as they were kissing and making out. He got an idea and started kissing Hakari. She slowly felt uncomfortable.

"Nartuo! Stop!" She yelled.

"What?"

"I don't want to do this."

"You said you did."

"Not now."

"Oh."

"You misunderstood me."

"Sorry."

"It's okay."

When class was finished, everyone went outside and hung out. Hakari and Naruto spoke behind a tree. They were going to kiss. But they needed somewhere private.

Somewhere where they will not be seen.

"Relax Naruto, this is a good make-out place."

"Really?"

"Yup."

Hakari closed her eyes and brought her lips in closer to Naruto's. He felt himself being swept away by such a pretty girl, someone who he never thought he would find.

He looked at Hakari and smiled, she did the same thing. She even had a flashback of when she had her very first crush.

Hakari is walking around a small Japan store. She is looking for ramen, when all of a sudden she bumped into this boy about her age.

He looked cute and nice, she pulled her hand out so she could shake his hand.

"Excuse me? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I could ask the same about you."

"What are you looking for?"

"Something to eat."

"Oh, are you starving?"

"No."

"Then, why do you need something to eat?"

"My mom told me to come out here."

Hakari could feel a slight feeling of comfort around this man, she did not want to bother him. "I like you, as a friend. Maybe we should hang out sometime."

"That sounds good."

"I know."

"Hehe."

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing."

"Oh."

"It wasn't what I said, right?"

"No."

"Good."

Hakari left the man alone, and went back to her mother.

"Hakari! Hakari!" Naruto was shouting."

"What?"

"You spaced out."

"Sorry. I was just….thinking about something."

"About what?"

"None of your business."

"Oh, it certainly is my business."

Hakari didn't feel comfortable telling Naruto about her crush. She wanted to though, it felt like she was torn between her new friend, and her old friend.

All she wanted was to tell Naruto. But she didn't want him to tell anyone. Not even her sister.

"Whatever you do…Don't tell my sister."

"Why?"

"Because. She will make fun of me."

"Oh."

"Do you know what it is like?"

"Yes, I know someone. See that girl with the pink hair over there."

"Yeah, I see her."

"That is Sakura. She always makes fun of me."

Sakura must have heard him, because the minute he said that. She lunged for him.

"I DO NOT MAKE FUN OF YOU! DO YOU WANT ME TO START DOING IT? BECAUSE I CAN!"

"No."

"Good."

Sakura left him alone. I slowly felt good and better about myself.

"What have I gotten myself into?" I asked.
