A/N: Usual disclaimer. - 3. answer to the "100 words - Mirror of Erised"-challenge on WIKTT. – The lines are taken from the German song "Aennchen of Tharau" which is one of the most romantic declaration of love I know.
Slowly and searching Severus' hand ran over the frame. It was smooth and warm.
"Severus?" Hermione came into the room. "Are you coming?"
Nearly a whole generation had passed since the last time he had glanced in the mirror. Many things had changed. But not his love for her, his wife since twenty-five years now, today.
With a gentle motion he drew her near and kissed her.
"Beloved, you are my wealth and my good – my soul, my flesh and my blood." Severus recited the lines from the poem "My light, my sun – I enclose my life with your one."
This mp3-file "www.tu-dresden.de/senior/musik/weberchor02.mp3" is a good recording of the song "Ännchen von Tharau" sung by the Carl-Maria-von-Weber-Chor (Dresden).
