Chapter 15: A Party by the Pool and Trouble begins.
Robin stared at Seth in disbelief after Seth had told them about Terra, and why he thinks that she's innocent. Robin then frowned.
"Sorry, but I don't believe it. Terra's a liar, and a traitor. When she comes back I'm not letting her back on this Team." Robin told Seth, as he folded his arms, while sitting on the couch in the Main Room. Starfire was sitting next to him, Cyborg and Ember sat on the floor and listened to Seth's tale.
"Agreed! I do not wish to be friends with a traitor, which is Terra. We do not trust her anymore. I'm sure Raven will send Terra back to another dimension again." Starfire began, as she folded her arms, while looking up at Seth for a moment. "I feel as if you are wasting your time trying to convince us that Terra is 'good' when she truly is evil. She has done horrible things, she lied to me about Robin, she's tried separating Raven and Beast Boy, she's also send Cyborg to Steel City when there was no trouble."
"But I'm telling you, Slade's been making her say and do all those things! She doesn't mean it honestly." Seth protested, trying to convince the Titans that Terra was innocent.
"Liar...I never trusted her when she first became a Titan. She broke B's heart and I spent months helping him get over her." Raven's voice began, as she walked into the Main Room, with Beast Boy in her arms as a puppy.
"Aww, how cute!" Ember exclaimed, referring to Beast Boy's puppy form.
"Um where did you get that green puppy from?" Seth asked, staring at Raven in surprise.
"This 'puppy' is my fiance." Raven replied, as Beast Boy in his puppy form, licked her face.
"Your getting married to a puppy!?" Seth stared at her even more in disbelief. "Now I've seen everything!"
Raven chuckled to herself. At that moment, Beast Boy turned into his normal form, and promptly stood behind Raven, putting his arms around her, stealing a kiss from her lips.
"Cool! How did you do that?" Seth exclaimed, staring at Beast Boy.
"Do what?" Beast Boy wondered, teasingly.
"Turn into a puppy and turn back into a human." Seth replied, looking confused.
"Magic." Raven replied before Beast Boy could.
"Anyway, getting back to Terra. I'm saying she's innocent and I can prove it!" Seth smiled as he held a picture of Terra. "If you would let me that is."
Raven suddenly gave Seth such a glare. "Don't even think about it. I don't want her back here, nor do the others. She's not welcomed back in Titans Tower as far as I am concerned. I don't care about her, don't care what happens to her." She frowned, folding her arms, a light bulb in the background burst as she said that. "Thanks for ruining the day by mentioning her name!" Raven added coldly, she turned around and walked out of the room without another word.
Beast Boy followed after her, not wanting to be left behind. He knew what Raven was like when it came to Terra.
"I think I had better go then, huh? Something tells me I'm not welcomed here." Seth began, turning into his ghost form.
"For now...Come back later if you like." Robin replied.
"Well...Bye for now." Seth added, then phased through the walls of Titans Tower to go back to his home.
"Should we have the party by the pool today Robin?" Starfire asked, looking at him, then Cyborg.
Robin nodded. "Lets set it up now!"
"A party by the pool? Sounds great to me! Looks like things are going to be quiet today in the city for a change." Cyborg grinned. "I'll help set things up."
A few minutes later, the pool was ready, a medium sized table appeared nearby with a large umbrella and six chairs around it. The table had all sorts of food and drinks on it, near the table was a radio, that Cyborg had put down to put the music on in the background. A Valley Ball floated in the pool's water, and a net was placed above the pool for the Titans to play Valley Ball.
"Wow! It's gorgeous." Ember gasped in surprise seeing the Pool Party set up.
"And it's complete...Let's see is everyone here?" Cyborg looked around. "Rae and B.B aren't here.."
"They've most likely have gone out on a date.." Robin said, then grinned. "Last Titan in the pool has to do dishes for a week!" He then dove into the pool. Starfire followed after him.
Cyborg and Ember dove in at the same time. "Guess nobody has to do them!" Cyborg joked, he then gabbed the Valley Ball and grinned to Robin.
Soon the four Titans began playing Valley Ball.
Mean while...
"Wow...I haven't been here for a while, this place got a bit more creepier then I remember." Raven said, as she and Beast Boy walked into one of her old favourite Cafe's she used to go to. She looked around and saw a few cobwebs in the ceiling corners, a few fake bats were hanging from the ceiling fan. About twenty goths looked at the couple in the restaurant.
"Hey there cutie! Long time no see." A Goth male nodded, looking over at Raven as he walked towards her.
Beast Boy frowned at him, then looked at Raven. "I take it you two know each other?" He guessed
"Kind of...He's not a friend of mine. To be honest I don't even like him at all, he knows it too! He's tried asking me out on dates years ago." Raven replied in whisper.
The Goth male over heard her, even though she was whispering. "Aw c'mon baby, just one date?" He begged, looking at Raven with his eyes shining for once.
Raven ignored him as she and Beast Boy chose their seats. The Goth male followed after Raven and sat next to her. Beast Boy glared at him.
The Goth male put his hand under Raven's chin and went to press his lips against hers. Raven slapped him hard across the face. "I wouldn't go out with you even IF you were the last guy on Earth!"
"Leave her alone!" Beast Boy hissed, ready to protect Raven.
The Goth male thought for a moment then put his arm around Raven's shoulders, Raven quickly removed his arms from around her then grabbed him, she threw him to the other side of the room. Beast Boy got up and ran towards him.
A few other goths gasped in surprise and watched.
The Goth male pushed Beast Boy roughly aside. "Raven's mine, she doesn't belong with you!" He hissed at Beast Boy, looking as if he was about to attack him.
"Eric...Leave my fiance alone." Raven warned him, as she joined Beast Boy's side.
"Fiance? This green guy's your fiance? He's not right for you, I mean you and I would've made a greater couple!" Eric began.
"So your name's Eric huh? So what if I'm Raven's fiance, I love her so much and I won't let you take her away from me!" Beast Boy began, as he stepped in front of Raven.
Eric snorted, and pushed Beast Boy roughly aside, he then grabbed Raven's arm, Beast Boy quickly turned into a Rhino, and head butted Eric away from Raven, he then turned back to normal before Eric could turn around to see what he got hit by. Eric let go of Raven's arm and landed face first onto the floor. "Oof!" He groaned.
"Now I remember the reason why I stopped coming here." Raven grumbled, watching as Eric got up. "Come on B...Let's go home. I'm not putting up him again."
Beast Boy joined her side, and put his arms around her waist. "Are there any other nice goth places with out guys like him there?" He thought to her.
"There are, but he'd most likely follow...Pity I can't send him to another dimension..." Raven replied, she began to walk but felt something tugging at her cloak. She looked behind her and saw Eric grabbing the bottom of her cloak, meaning to go with them.
Raven roughly tugged her cloak, making Eric let go. She and Beast Boy went out the door. Raven looked around to make sure Eric wasn't there and made a portal, she and Beast Boy jumped into it.
Eric got up and ran out side, he then looked around for Raven and noticed she wasn't there. "Aw this stinks! All I wanted to do was take her out on a nice romantic date...I really do love her..." He mumbled to himself, looking miserable as he went back inside.
"She shoots and she scores! Woohoo!" Ember exclaimed, as she threw the Valley Ball over the net. "It looks like us girls are winning so far!" She smiled, hi-fiving Starfire.
"This is fun! I wish Raven were here to join us...Although she most likely would have been reading a book by the pool, while watching us!" Starfire said.
Robin caught the ball and grinned. "Your probably right Star.." He then threw the ball over the net.
For once, Ember and Starfire had missed the ball. The ball bounced onto the roof's pavement and rolled near the edge of the roof.
"Don't you dare!" Ember gasped, getting out of the pool to get the ball. "Stay there and I'll get you!"
Cyborg watched Ember racing towards the ball. Just when Ember neared it, a gentle breeze swept through the air, making the ball fall off the roof.
"I'll get it!" Starfire exclaimed, flying out of the pool.
"Let's have some lunch." Robin suggested. "We've been out here for hours!"
"You bet...I'm starved...Say Robin...Can I talk to you a bit later? There's something er rather someone I have on my mind lately." Cyborg said the last parts quietly enough.
Robin looked at Cyborg curiously and nodded. "Sure!" He watched as Starfire and Ember came back to them with the Valley Ball.
"Lunch break! Then we'll play more." Robin grinned, changing the topic.
Cyborg smiled watching Ember helping her self to some lunch.
"Nice place!" Beast Boy commented, as he and Raven walked into another 'goth' Cafe. The walls were painted a dark blue, a 'haunted' house was drawn on the wall, with ghosts floating out side of it. Bats 'flew' above the house and a large round moon shone brightly..
"This is one of the new ones I heard about...I've wanted to check it out..." Raven began, as she and Beast Boy explored the Goth Cafe.
"Welcome to the Haunted Cafe, how can I not help you?" A waitress wearing a black dress appeared in front of Beast Boy and Raven, looking miserable. She had long blonde hair.
"Um aren't waitresses meant to be happy?" Beast Boy wondered, looking at Raven then back at the waitress.
"This is a Goth Cafe, not a normal cafe... It's a part of the job." The waitress explained before Raven could.
"What she said..." Raven agreed. "Um we're just looking at the moment, thank you."
"Your not welcome." The waitress then left them be. "Don't come back to me when you've made up your minds." Of course, the waitress meant the opposite of what she said.
"Are all Goth waitresses like this?" Beast Boy asked quietly.
"No..This one is actually nice..Others I've met aren't that nice!" Raven told him. "Ah here's a nice seat for us, right at the back where we can be alone, just the way I like it."
Beast Boy smiled, and waited for Raven to sit down at the table, he then sat next to her and put his arms around her waist. Raven rest her head against his shoulder, while putting her arm around his waist, and holding his hand with her free hand.
The waitress walked over to them, giving them the same face expression before. "Are you ready to order?" She asked, holding a notepad in her left hand and a pen in her right.
Raven looked at Beast Boy who nodded. "Yes please, I'll have a Herble Tea with Tofu waffles thank you, what would you like B?"
"I'll have the same please and Thank you." Beast Boy looked at the waitress and watched as she wrote down the orders.
"I'll be back soon with your meals." The waitress told them then left.
Raven looked around the cafe and noticed a picture, with a ghost in it, the picture had eye holes which was unusual, and once she noticed that, she had the eerie feeling of being watched, she gently nudged Beast Boy and nodded to the picture. A pair of red eyes appeared through the picture's eye holes, which made Beast Boy jump, the eyes vanished before he could tell Raven.
"D-Did you see that Rae?" Beast Boy whispered softly to her, as he watched the picture again to wait for the eyes to reappear.
"See the eyes? Yes...I'm doubting that's normal for the picture." Raven whispered back.
The waitress returned with Beast Boy and Raven's meals. She looked at the picture and nodded, then left them.
Beast Boy raised an eye brow. "You know...On second thoughts, this is getting creepy...That waitress nodded to the picture..."
"I saw that too...Something's not right...The atmosphere has changed. It feels as if something bad is about to happen." Raven added, getting up.
"Should we go then?" Beast Boy wondered, placing money on the table.
"Mhm..." Raven agreed. "Let's go now, to the beach!" She held his hand.
Back with the other Titans...
It was sometime in the after noon when Robin decided that he's had enough of being in the pool. He got out and went to sit at the edge of the roof, with a towel wrapped around him. Starfire smiled and joined her fiance's side, with a towel around her. She snuggled up close to him and rest her head on his shoulder.
"Today was glorious!" Starfire commented, stealing a kiss from Robin's lips.
"Mhm! It sure was. I really enjoyed it. I wish we could do this more often!" Robin agreed. "I think we should go out for dinner tonight, maybe have a romantic candlelight dinner at a restaurant or something fun."
"Mhm!" Starfire smiled, wrapping her arms around him. "I love you Robin."
"I love you too Starfire, so much." Robin replied, wrapping her arms around her, he then pressed his lips against hers.
Starfire blushed and deepened the kiss, enjoying the moment with him.
Ember glanced at Starfire and Robin as they kissed. She began wishing it were her and Cyborg kissing. She helped Cyborg pack up the Pool Party, and began to think about what to do about her school. 'I think it's better off, if I leave school to become a full Titan. I'd be able to train my powers properly and team up with the others in battle.' she thought. 'I'll make this upcoming week the last week of School then leave it...OR maybe I can become Flame Girl and be a school girl at the same time?'
"Ember, I..." Cyborg began, as he looked at her.
Ember turned her attention to Cyborg, wondering what he was about to say.
Before Cyborg could say anything, Raven and Beast Boy appeared through the portal looking tired out but happy.
"Hey guys! Did we miss anything?" Beast Boy chirped, looking at Cyborg and Ember.
"Only a fun game of Valley Ball! Star and Ember won." Cyborg replied with a smile on his face. "Welcome back you two."
"Sounds like we missed out on a great game." Raven commented. "Always next time."
Beast Boy looked around for Robin and Starfire and smiled seeing that they were sitting together at the edge of the roof, he gently nudged Raven who nodded.
Ember watched as Raven and Beast Boy joined Robin and Starfire on the edge of the roof. Raven sat next to Starfire, Beast Boy sat next to Raven, then put his arms around her once more.
"What fun did you two have today?" Starfire asked, looking at Raven.
"We went to a couple of Cafe's...Then later decided to walk along the beach." Raven replied with a smile.
"You certainly know how to charm a girl huh Beast Boy?" Robin grinned.
"Mhm! I love spoiling Rae!" Beast Boy smiled.
"Star and I were thinking on going on a date tonight, would you like to join? We're planning to go to a restaurant. Not sure which one yet." Robin wondered.
"We'd love to." Raven answered, stealing the words from Beast Boy's mouth.
"Glorious!" Starfire smiled, giving Raven a quick hug. "Perhaps we can sing Karaoke afterwards?"
"You guys can, but I'll pass." Raven quickly replied, not liking the idea of singing.
"Aw c'mon Rae! Just for me?" Beast Boy whined cutely to her, turning into a puppy he licked her cheeks.
"Alright, fine...You win." Raven gave in, giving him a hug. 'Only because I love you so much!' she thought to him.
Beast Boy turned into his normal self and hugged her. "This is going to be a great night!" He chirped.
Ember and Cyborg soon joined the four Titans on the edge of the roof, to watch the sunset together.
"The four of us are going out tonight...What would you two be doing?" Robin announced, looking at Cyborg and Ember.
"I'll probably would be playing video games, to try and defeat yours and Beast Boy's score!" Cyborg began.
"I'll finish the rest of my home work." Ember replied, she didn't have other plans after that.
"Sounds fun." Raven muttered sarcastically, as she rest her head on Beast Boy's shoulder.
"Not really, I never liked school." Ember sighed, putting her hands under her chin.
"Really? Why's that?" Robin wondered, turning his attention to Ember for a moment.
"There's these three girls that are always nasty to me, they'd get me in trouble for nothing, when I try to prove it's them the teacher believes them not me..." Ember told him.
"Sounds like those three need a lesson." Raven smirked, planning something. "Mind if B and I go to school with you next time you go to school?"
Ember looked at Raven with her eyes shining. "I'd love that! I'll point them out to you."
Mean while...Somewhere in a mysterious Lair...
"Yes that's perfect...Terra will be back tomorrow, all we need now are all the villains from Jump City and perhaps Gotham City too, to try and defeat the Titans once and for all...Oh not to mention Shape Shifters..." Slade's voice mumbled away as he began to tell Megumi his plans.
"Why Gotham dear?" Megumi wondered curiously.
"Because..Jump City might need more villains to occupy the six Titans... There'd be more of us then them, so it would be easy to defeat them! We'll make sure the Titans in Steal City are busy fighting villains, the same thing with all the other Titans too, where ever they might be. Things should start to get more interesting by then." Slade explained to her.
"Hmmm so many against six...It sounds like we will be able to defeat the Titans after all! I can't wait for all this to start...When will it happen?" Megumi sat down on a chair and looked up at Slade.
"As soon as possible I hope...I'm going to start with the basic villains." Slade grinned. "I won't tell you who they are of course..."
"Typical...Always keeping secrets from your wife." Megumi folded her arms and frowned at him. "Well..What are we waiting for? What's stopping us from starting this chaos now?"
"Nothing...I'm going to start all this soon..." Slade said. "When Terra returns...I'll need her help to gather the other villains. She knows the Titans weaknesses."
"Are we to join the fight too?"
"Of course Megumi, silly question...I'll defeat Robin easily."
"I'll freeze the rest of them! Hehehe."
Back with the Titans...
"This restaurant is, beautiful fiance Robin!" Starfire chirped, wrapping her arms around his waist as the two walked into a restaurant that Starfire had never been to.
"Glad you like it Star...I've seen this place, but never really been into it. Thought I'd try it out." Robin lead the way to their seats. "Rae and B should be joining us soon. They said they had something to do in the mean time. Speaking of which, I was thinking of you and I having two weddings..."
"Two weddings?" Starfire stared at him in surprise, before sitting down at their seats.
"Mhm...We could get married on Earth, and Tamaran... That way the Tamaranean people can see us marry." Robin suggested, waiting for Starfire to sit down, he then moved his chair close to hers, then put his arms around her.
Starfire smiled, hugging him. "I cannot wait to marry you, Robin..." she chirped quietly.
"Did someone say something about marry?" Beast Boy's voice asked. He and Raven just arrived and joined them at their table, it was a four seat table.
"Star and I have been planning our wedding..." Robin told them.
Raven sat down on the chair, the opposite side of Starfire at the table. Beast Boy put his chair next to Raven, then sat next to her.
"What are your plans?" Raven looked at Robin curiously, resting her head on Beast Boy's shoulder.
Robin had told her, what he had just said to Starfire.
"Hm I like that idea...Maybe we should do the same, Rae?" Beast Boy smiled.
Ember sighed as she tried to focus on her homework, but her mind seemed to be focused on Cyborg. 'Am I falling in love with him?' She wondered quietly to herself. She was sitting in the Main Room, half doing her home work, and half watching Cyborg playing video games and eating popcorn.
Ember decided to try and work on her design of her 'superhero' costume, which she had called "Flame Girl" for the time being. She began to think more about Cyborg then her costume. She sighed then put her homework away.
"Something wrong Ember?" Cyborg asked, pausing his game for a moment after hearing her sigh.
Ember blushed and looked at him. "I just can't concentrate...I have something on my mind."
"I know the feeling...Care to share with me?" Cyborg looked at her, turning his attention to her.
Will Ember tell Cyborg her feelings towards him, or will something prevent her from saying them?
Which villain will Slade send out first?
What is Raven's plan to give the three girls at Ember's school a lesson?
