Chapter 16: Ember's last day at School!
Ember looked up at Cyborg and opened her mouth to speak, before he interrupted her.
"Ember...There's something I've got to tell you...I'm NOT dating Bumble Bee...I told her soon after the kiss, I felt guilty about kissing her when I don't love her. I told her that there's someone else that I love, not her. Ember...I-I-I love you!" Cyborg blurted out, sounding slightly nervous, he blushed as he looked at Ember.
Ember stared at Cyborg in surprise, in her mind she sighed in relief when he said that. "Cyborg I..." She began, but just then, the intruder alarm went off.
"Intruder alert, Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert! Intruder alert..Intruder Alert..." The Alarm system repeated itself.
Ember gasped, once the intruder alarm set off.
"Let's go and have a look who it is!" Cyborg said, walking out of the main room, he turned his arm into a cannon.
Ember was prepared to fight. "Should we call the others?" She wondered as she looked around the hall-way to see if she can see anyone in the Tower.
"Don't bother my dear...I'm sure the others are very very busy!" A sinister male's voice chuckled. The man wore a black hooded cloak to hide his face.
"W-Who are you?" Cyborg demanded. "And why are you in our Tower?!"
"Your tower? HAH! That's what you think! Get ready you guys!" The male's voice demanded to his comrades who were lurking the shadows.
Ember went to get her communicator out to call the other Titans. Cyborg glanced at her and shook his head. "I've got this!" He told her.
"But..." Ember began, worried that she and Cyborg couldn't defeat who ever were in the Tower.
"I've got it! Don't worry! Robin trained me for this just in case! I know what to do, trust me!" Cyborg told her, in a calm and quiet voice.
Ember nodded, she put her communicator away and glanced at the male who was in the room with them.
"Some boyfriend he is! Why don't you join our side love, we'll let you do all the fun." The male smirked, stepping into the light, revealing himself. He wore a white cowl and cape, with a Owl logo on it.
Ember glared at him. "In your nightmares! I'd never betray the Titans, they gave me a home, helped me train my powers and are like a family to me."
"Night Owl! Are we ready?" A female's voice called out. "We've attempted to enter the Goth's room but the door kept on zapping at Ninja Boy and spraying things at him!"
"Well help him out Shadow Kitty! This is use less otherwise! We've got to get the weakness of the Goth Girl!" Night Owl demanded. "The Boss wants it, now that she is back!"
"Now that she's back..." Cyborg repeated, wondering what that meant, he looked at Ember then back at 'Night Owl'.
"Terra!" Ember gasped softly, figuring out who the boss might be.
"You know...You might be right Em.." Cyborg whispered softly. "You guys won't be able to get in to the Goth's Room with out her being there."
"UGH! NIGHT OWL! The Goth Girl's door suddenly froze Ninja Boy! He's turned into Solid Ice!" Shadow Kitty came running back to Night Owl, with a worried look on her face.
Cyborg smirked, that was the part of his security system designed especially for Raven.
"Well then get the others and retreat!" Night Owl commanded, sounding extremely annoyed. "We'll Be back...Mark my words, we will be back, for revenge!"
"YES SIR!" Shadow Kitty then ran off to tell her other team mates. Night Owl ran off to help her.
"Well that was easy...I bet Raven would've wished she was here to see the security do that!" Ember began, once the sound of silence filled the air once more for a while.
Cyborg smiled. "I need to install it on all of our doors including the entrance door, just in case. But Raven was the first to request it being a private person she'd rather keep to herself and Beast Boy."
"Tonight was amazing Gar..." Raven began as she looked at Beast Boy, lovingly.
Beast Boy smiled. "I'm glad you enjoyed it Rae. Because the next few nights are even going to be more amazing!" He stole a kiss from her lips.
"Not as amazing as you are!" Raven said, adding a flirty tone to her voice, she wrapped her arms around him as they headed home back to Titans Tower with Robin and Starfire.
Starfire had fallen asleep so Robin carried her in his arms, bridal style, he didn't seem to mind though.
Raven glanced at Starfire and Robin then used her powers to create a portal. "Let's take a short cut!"
"Mhm!" Robin nodded, watching Raven make a port. Starfire stayed fast asleep in his arms, with her arms wrapped around his neck gently.
"Now!" Raven then jumped into the portal with Beast Boy, Robin followed after them with Starfire still in his arms.
"AH home sweet home!" Robin smiled, as they appeared in front of Raven's room. "Thanks Raven.."
Raven nodded, and yawned tiredly. "Well, see you in the morning!" She then went to her room with Beast Boy.
A few days later...
The Titans had done a lot of training to fill in time while it has been quiet in Jump City. Ember began to design her 'Flame Girl' Costume, with help from Cyborg. The Titans were now in the Kitchen having breakfast or just talking.
"So when do you go back to school?" Raven asked, helping herself to some Herble Tea, as she watched Ember design.
"In an hour actually...School starts at Eight Thirty." Ember answered, as she began to put her costume design away.
"We'll go with you then!" Beast Boy chirped, as he sat down on the couch, waiting for Raven to join his side. "But we'll change the way we look of course! We don't want to be recognized as Titans!"
Robin smiled at Beast Boy. "I'm tempted to join, but I need to work out on what these villains are up to."
"Just call me Rae, when your at school..." Raven winked to Ember.
"And me Garfield..." Beast Boy added.
One hour later...
"Ooh look here comes The Girl who purposely skips school! Just wait until she sees what we've done to her desk hehehe! Oh and her locker!" A girl with black hair snickered, as Ember made her way to school, Raven and Beast Boy were lurking the shadows, following Ember.
"What about the chair too!" Another girl then giggled.
Ember didn't hear the girls talking as she walked through the opened school gates. She knew she wasn't alone. She looked around and saw three girls whispering and giggling to each other.
One of the girls ran up to Ember and pushed her roughly to the ground and stuck a piece of paper on her back.
Ember got up only to be pushed down again.
"So what's it like wagging school? Why bother go to school when you don't go to it!" One of the girls asked. "No wonder your dense!"
"And you still wear gloves? It's like summer here! It's not winter...Those black gloves are ugly you know!" Another girl smirked, she reached to take Ember's gloves off.
Ember clenched her fists, to prevent the girls from taking her gloves off.
"Ooh you want a fight do you? I'll gladly fight you!" With that, one of the girls kicked Ember in the stomach, the other two girls joined in the fight, Ember rolled into a ball, not wanting to waste her powers on these girls. She took all the punches and kicks.
"Leave her alone!" Beast Boy warned, as he came out from the shadows, with Raven.
"Ooh look, Ember's friends with an alien, or a wanna be Alien and some Goth girl! She is desperate after all!" One of the girls stopped kicking Ember for a moment and looked at Beast Boy and Raven, not knowing that they were Titans.
"I SAID LEAVE HER ALONE!" Beast Boy demanded, he then suddenly turned into a Gorilla and knocked the girls away from Ember, Raven ran to help him.
"Creepy! Like the green guy turned into a Gorilla...Sorry green alien sir, but this is our punching bag!" The girl with black hair smirked.
The girls flew over Ember like flies and started attacking her even more.
"Your going to regret that!" Raven hissed, then used her powers to pull the girls off Ember, she then quickly raced to Ember's side with Beast Boy and used her powers again to shield them.
"Wow the grey girl has like powers! She must be a witch!" The girl with black hair gasped in fear. "I'm like, going to tell the teacher now!" With that the girls ran off.
Raven rolled her eyes as she watched the girls run off. "You okay? Now what happens should we stay or head back home?"
"I'm alright, thanks for the rescue. I wanted to use my powers against them, but decided against it. I might as well stay, if they continue this I'm leaving school to become a full time Titan. They've always been like this to me but only recently they've become worse." Ember said, as she got up.
"B and I will be in the shadows if things go wrong we'll jump out again." Raven told her.
A while later, Ember walked 'alone' in the school hallway. She started to head towards her locker, meaning to get things out of it ready for her class. Once she got to her locker, she went to reach the handle, when she touched the handle, it felt sticky and slimy. "Eww!" She complained, then tried taking her hand away from the locker. For some reason her hand stuck fast to the handle. The Three girls earlier who were attacking Ember appeared and laughed at her.
"I knew you couldn't part without your locker!" The black haired girl snickered. The other girls with her laughed. "Just wait until you open the door!" The girls then started to walk away giggling and whispering. Just then a green snake appeared nearby. Ember knew it was Beast Boy but the girls didn't... Ember tried pulling away from the locker and failed, the sticky stuff was just too strong.
The Snake slithered near the girls who screamed and ran off. Once the girls were out of sight, Beast Boy turned back into his normal self. He turned his attention to Ember and tried helping her free her self from her locker. "What did they mean by wait until you open your locker?" He wondered.
"They've obviously planted something inside your locker...I'm starting to think its best if you quit school to become a full time Titan..." Raven quietly told her. "It would be better that way too."
Beast Boy at last, helped Ember get free from her locker's sticky handle.
"Wait Titan? Your a Teen Titan?!" A girl who was within the black haired girl's group asked, over hearing Raven's conversation with Ember. She glanced at Raven and Beast Boy.
"HAHA! Yeah right! And our Principal is Superman!" The black haired girl laughed. "Come on girls...Let's leave these losers and head to class."
"I'll show you who the loser is soon!" Raven warned the black haired girl, clenching her fists.
Once the girls left Ember went to open her locker, it opened perfectly well but everything fell out on top of her. "UGH!" Ember gave an annoyed exclamation as everything fell on top of her.
Raven and Beast Boy helped her take the objects off her. "Don't those girls have anything better to do, Ember?" Raven complained.
"Apparently not. Ugh, if one more thing happens I'm going to quit school!" Ember sighed.
"But first, we'll do some payback, in the girls bathroom!" Raven smirked, looking at Beast Boy then back at Ember.
Mean while somewhere in the outskirts of Jump City...
"Did you find the location? Excellent...Alright I'll be there at midnight, then I'll wait about to capture Beast Boy and bring him to the boss, since now she's back and eagerly waiting for him." A mysterious male's voice muttered to someone in the shadows.
"Yes I found the location of Titans Tower and where he picks those pathetic roses for his beloved fiancee... I'm going to set traps for him tonight so I can capture him. I have everything organized. All we need to do is wait there. Shall we go now or tonight?" A female's voice whispered.
"Hm tonight sounds better for now we'll just set things up for Beast Boy in our lair!" The male's voice answered... Soon the two voices faded away...
Back with Beast Boy, Raven and Ember.
"Ooh what a cutie pie! Marry me Robin~ Ooh go to the Prom with me!" A few girls squealed in delight as Robin entered the School Grounds to find Raven. Starfire was with him, clenching her fists when the girls crowded around Robin.
"Kiss me Robin!" Another girl joined in the fun, joining the crowd of fan girls around the Titans Leader.
"Sorry, I'm taken and busy." Robin gently pushed the fan girls away from him. Starfire was with him looking rather annoyed, she clenched her fists and glared at the girls flirting with Robin.
Raven over heard the fuss but didn't notice it was Robin the girls were fussing about until he walked up to her. They were still at the locker, disguising what the pay back plans will be. Ember's class was in about fifteen minutes.
"I thought I'd give you a hand with the situation." Robin smiled to Ember.
"Wait you know Ember?" The black haired girl gasped, walking up to Robin. "Can I hug you?!"
"Ember's a great friend of mine...I heard she was having trouble at school so I'm putting a stop to it. Sorry but I'm taken, my fiancee won't like it if I hugged another woman!" Robin answered.
Starfire glared at the girl, she looked at Raven as if to ask if that was the girl who had been causing trouble, Raven nodded. Starfire gently nudged Robin who got what the nudge was for.
"Then like why are you here?"
"Stacy! It's almost class time!" A male's voice called out.
"EH! I'd rather not waste my time talking to a wanna-be Robin! I'd rather a real Robin every other day! Well see you later Wanna-be's!" Stacy, the black haired girl then ran off.
"I'm off to Class, will see you guys after!" Ember smiled, then ran off to class.
Once Ember got to her class, she sat at her desk making up her mind after school to tell the Principal that she's quitting, Ember put her elbows on her desk and put her chin in her hands, while waiting for her teacher to come. . Stacy and her friends began nudging and giggling at Ember. Ember stared at Stacy wondering what they were giggling about. Ember then noticed her desk was painted a bright pink colour. Ember at once pulled away from the desk only realizing that her elbows were 'glued' to the desk.
Raven was lurking the shadows, while Robin and Starfire waited out side the class room. Beast Boy had turned into a fly and flew into Ember's classroom, only to find out that the Titan couldn't break free from her desk.
"GNH! What is this stuff?!" Ember complained, glaring at Stacy who was busy giggling.
"It's called Bright Glue! And it won't come off that easily! So it looks like your going to have to take your desk home!" Stacy then burst into laughter, watching Ember struggle taking her elbows off the desk.
Beast Boy flew out of the Classroom to tell Raven what had happened.
"UGh! I can't believe it...Let's go help her out now." Raven then walked into the classroom. Surprisingly the teacher wasn't there yet which was good.
Starfire and Robin joined and managed to help Ember free herself from the desk.
"Won't come off easily huh?" Raven glared at Stacy.
"You know what? That's it I've had enough with school! I'm quitting. But first revenge!" Ember stood up in anger, it's not often she gets angry.
"Revenge? HAH! You can't even hit a fly! What are you going to do? Scribble over my homework?!" Stacy smirked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?!" Ember then left the classroom with the four Titans.
It was soon lunch time, Stacy and her friends headed to the school's restroom. "I can't believe He looked at me! He is like such a cutie!" Stacy exclaimed, holding her hands together in delight, as she and her friends walked past the 'hottest' guy in school.
"He's the cutest guy in school, for sure!" One of Stacy's friends smiled. "If he asked you to the Prom, you'd be so lucky!"
Stacy opened the restroom's door and walked in. "I'm going to put on some more make up and do up my hair, to see if I can impress him!"
'Who ever your going to impress, isn't going to work Stacy!' Ember thought. She was sitting in the cupboards under the sink, holding onto the water pipes, to make the water come out hot, since the school only had cold water taps.
Stacy put down her backpack, and opened it to get out her make up, she then looked into a mirror and screamed seeing a reflection of a green bat. "Like! There's a ugly green bat in the rest room!" She squealed, dropping her make up in fright.
Beast Boy flew at Stacy in his bat form, Stacy grabbed her bag and started swinging it at him. Beast Boy dodged each time she swung her bag.
"Like, get away you creepy bat!" Stacy then had an idea. She held her hand under the tap, and turned it on, only to find out the water was boiling hot.
"YEEOOCH! Wait why is the water like hot?!" Stacy wondered, she glanced around for her friends and only noticed they were tied up with a rope wrapped around them. They also had tape around their mouths.
Before Stacy could say any more, the room suddenly went dark, a green bat flew at her. Stacy screamed and climbed onto the sink. "G-Get away from me you creepy bat!" She cried out at it in fear.
The bat vanished, then a rat appeared on the sink. Stacy kicked the rat off the sink, and gave a high pitched scream. "W-hat are you, and what did you do to my friends? Rats are disgusting!"
"Your friends deserve what they got...And so do you! I'm tired of the way you've been treating Ember, since today's her last day at school I've decided to do something about it. This is revenge.." Raven's voice filled the room for a moment.
"Who are you? What are you?! Stacy wondered, she watched as the green rat ran near the wall.
Raven phased through the ground, Stacy watched her in fear.
Ember came out from the cupboard, and walked next to Raven. Beast Boy ran to Raven's side as a green rat then turned back into his normal self, with a grin on his face, as he put his arm around Raven.
Starfire and Robin came out of their hiding spots, Cyborg was no where to be seen. Stacy gave another scream and ran out of the bathroom door, forgetting about her friends.
"Well that should teach her a lesson...I hope she learns from this...I'll let these two go then we can go home!" Robin sighed, as he looked at Stacy's tied up friends.
"I'm longing to go on another date with Rae!" Beast Boy smiled. A few moments later Robin and Beast Boy untied Stacy's friends who at once fled the restroom without a word.
"Should we go home now?" Robin asked looking at Ember as they walked out of the restroom.
"Mhm!" Ember nodded, she had enough of school. "I need to talk to Cyborg when we get back..." She added quietly.
The Titans made their way out of the School grounds with Ember.
"B and I are going to the movies, we'll most likely be back sometime after dark." Raven announced, as Beast Boy put his arms around her.
"Or later!" Beast Boy added. The Titans soon parted, Raven and Beast Boy made their way to the movies and bought their tickets.
Back at the Tower, once Ember, Robin and Starfire got back, Ember went to look for Cyborg, meaning to tell him her feelings.
Robin and Starfire decided to watch movies in the Main Room.
Cyborg was in the Garage, building a Moped for Ember.
Ember looked nearly everywhere for Cyborg except for the Garage, she nearly gave up until she thought of the Garage. She knew where that was and went down to it. The door was shut but she could hear some noises coming from it.
Ember opened the door and saw Cyborg working on something, she couldn't quiet see what he was working on due to the dull lighting. "Cyborg?" She called out softly to him.
Cyborg looked up from working on the Moped. "Yes Ember?"
"Cyborg, can I talk to you? It was about earlier...When you told me your feelings..." Ember looked back at him, she sounded a bit nervous but happy otherwise.
Cyborg stopped what he was doing and turned his attention to Ember, smiling.
"Cyborg, I-I..." Ember began, before she could finish, The alarm went off, indicating that there was trouble around the corner.
"Whatever you were going to say will have to wait...Let's go and see what the trouble is!" Cyborg then left the room without another room. Ember followed after him, wondering which Villain it was this time.
Raven and Beast Boy were watching a movie, snuggling up together on the seats at the back row. All was quiet for a while until Robin called Beast Boy's communicator.
"Aw man, what now?" Beast Boy complained, hearing his communicator buzzing. He pulled it out of his pocket and answered it. Raven looked at the communicator and saw Robin on the screen.
"Titans Trouble...We've got about five or six villains running loose in Jump City." Robin announced, telling them the exact location of a couple of the villains.
"We'll be there as soon as possible." Raven told him. Beast Boy put his communicator back into his pocket.
A while later in a Alley way in Jump City...
"There's no-one here!" Beast Boy began, as he and Raven held hands and looked around expecting to see a villain jump out of no where.
"This is pointless then..." Raven muttered, putting on her hood.
"Nothing is pointless, cutie...Remember me?" A familiar male's voice questioned Raven. Raven looked around but saw nobody, she recognized the voice alright.
Beast Boy clenched his fists. "Where are you?!" He called out, standing in front of Raven to protect her. He recognized the voice to and hated the person. He had once already defeated him.
Who are Raven and Beast Boy to fight?
Will Ember ever get to tell Cyborg that she loves him?
