Chapter 17: Beast Boy goes missing and Memory Loss.
Raven felt a pair of arms wrapping gently around her waist, she glanced at Beast Boy who was standing beside her, ready to fight.
Raven elbowed who ever was behind her. "Let go of me, Adonis!" she hissed, gritting her teeth.
"RAVEN!" Beast Boy gasped, turning into a Gorilla, running to her side at once.
The arms kept around Raven's waist. "Sorry, no can do, cutie...!" The voice began, Raven kicked Adonis the shin, hoping he'd let go of her, but he didn't, he only clung tighter to her. "Go near her and I'm going to take her away from you!"Adonis warned Beast Boy.
"Feisty and beautiful!" Adonis 'growled' adding a flirty tone to his voice.
"I so don't have the time for this!" Raven muttered, as she was about to place her hands on Adonis's to remove his arms from around her waist, but Beast Boy did that instead for her, while still being a gorilla.
Beast Boy then threw Adonis 'away' as if he was a rag doll, after that he ran back to Raven's side and turned back into his normal self.
Raven was about to use her powers to through a nearby garbage bin at Adonis while he was getting up but got interrupted by another familiar voice. Her former 'crush'.
"Surely your not going to hurt him with that, my sweet Raven..." A rose then appeared in front of Raven, falling gently to the ground.
"Actually, I'm not...I'm just going to send you both to another dimension like I did with Terra..." Raven quickly replied.
'Malchior.' Beast Boy thought, gritting his teeth when Malchior appeared in front of Raven as his 'human' form. Beast Boy stayed by Raven's side, ready to protect her from both Malchior and Adonis.
Adonis got up and joined Malchior's side.
Raven smirked, looking at the two villains standing nearby her. "Azerath, Metrion..." She began, before she could continue another man appeared in the ally way, interrupting her from sending Malchior and Adonis to another dimension..
The man wore a light brown pair of trousers, black boots, and a long hooded brown waist coat. He put his hands in his trousers pockets and glanced at Adonis and Malchior. He cleared his throat and began to walk away.
Adonis and Malchior quickly ran off after the man, without another word.
"Hm...That's a bit suspicious..." Raven began, as she watched them walk away.
After a while, the three men suddenly vanished into thin air.
"I take it they know each other? Either way at least we got rid of them, for now." Beast Boy commented, glancing around to see if he could see where the men went.
A while later, as Raven and Beast Boy walked out of the ally way with their arms around each other, trying to work out who the man was.
"Is it possible that he'd be Slade in disguise?" Beast Boy suggested, trying to imagine Slade disguising himself.
"I guess its possible..Maybe it's a coincidence? Who knows. I'm going to call Robin to see what he thinks." Raven got out her communicator to ring him.
"I take it that you had the mysterious man too?" - Robin
"Yeah...He just randomly came and cleared his throat then Malchior and Adonis went off with him! What now?" - Raven
Robin frowned for a moment to think on what happened. "Meet back at the tower...Cyborg had the same thing happen too. We'll see you soon!"
Later that night...
"It can't be Slade as the man in the brown suit...Or could it be him?" Ember wondered, looking at Robin as they sat in the Main Room to discuss about the mysterious man.
"As I said to B earlier, it's possible...It could be a Shape Shifter." Raven pointed out, sitting down on the couch with Beast Boy. "Madame Rogue can shape shift into any human she wishes to."
Robin thought for a while, as Starfire sat down next to him looking concerned.
Beast Boy yawned and turned into a puppy, and sat on Raven's lap. "Your too cute B." Raven whispered softly to him. "I love you."
'I love you too Rae-Rae!' Beast Boy thought to her.
"Who ever the guy is, we're going to have to keep an eye out for him. Who knows what powers he holds!" Cyborg announced, with a sigh.
Raven gave a yawn. "I'm going to bed, see you guys in the morning." She then held Beast Boy as a puppy in her arms and got up from the couch.
Beast Boy turned back to his normal self and stood behind Raven when she moved away from the couch. He then put his arms around her waist and rest his head on her shoulder lovingly, before stealing a kiss from her lips.
"Good night all!" Beast Boy chirped then left the room with Raven.
Early in the morning...
Beast Boy woke up from his sleep, he glanced at Raven and smiled seeing her sound asleep. 'Your so beautiful Rae-Rae, I love you so much and can't wait to marry you!' he thought to her. He glanced at the wall clock which had a little bit of light shining onto it to show the time. It was about 2am in the morning.
Beast Boy morphed into a mouse and quickly got out of bed, he ran underneath the door and turned into an owl. He flew out of the Tower and flew off to his hidden garden on the Island without making a sound.
Beast Boy then turned back to his normal self as he landed safely onto the ground. The light from the moon was enough to show the roses in his secret garden that he wanted to pick for Raven. He went to get them and suddenly got his foot caught on a plant's root. Beast Boy quickly tried tugging his foot away but suddenly got caught in a net, which pulled him up a tree. He turned into a lion and started to scratch at the netting but it was too strong. He turned into a wolf and started to chew at the netting but it tasted awful.
Beast Boy then turned into an Elephant. Much to his delight, it pulled the net trap down from the tree with him, but much to his shock, he suddenly found himself in a cage as well as the netting. He quickly turned into a wolf again, and glanced around trying to work out what had happened. The lid suddenly closed by itself in the cage.
Beast Boy suddenly heard footsteps, he looked up hoping it would be Raven. He gasped to see two villains wearing a long hooded cloak. They wore a face mask and a gas mask of some kind. Beast Boy sensed that he was in danger when they appeared. He let out a loud warning howl hoping that Raven or the other Titans would hear it.
"Oh be quiet you!" A familiar female's voice hissed.
Beast Boy recolonized the voice and howled again. The female suddenly threw something in the cage...
Beast Boy turned back to his normal self and curled up in the cage, fast asleep. The female noticed the ring on his finger and took it off. She threw it on he ground. "You won't be needing this thing anymore. By the time we're finished with you...You won't even know her! Come on let's get out of here!" The female lifted one side of the cage while her comrade lift another. In Several minutes later, Beast Boy was gone and so were the villains.
Raven suddenly woke up hearing a wolf howling. "BEAST BOY!" She exclaimed in fright, looking beside her seeing the bed empty. She went to use her powers to make a portal, but for some reason her powers stopped working. "Hang on B! I'll be there as soon as I can!" She raced out of her room, running into Robin and Starfire.
"Did you just hear the howling of the wolf too?" Starfire questioned Raven, looking at her curiously.
"Mhm...It's Beast Boy, he's in danger...And my powers aren't working! I know where he might be." Raven quickly replied, sounding worried.
"We'll join you...But how do you know he's in danger?" Robin wondered.
"I'm his fiancee, I know the difference between his howls... He just howled again..Something must've happened." Raven looked worried as the three Titans raced down to where Raven thought Beast Boy would be.
"I never knew we had a garden!" Starfire commented, looking around, only to see nothing but darkness.
Robin took out a torch from his utility belt and switched it on, shining the light onto the ground, to see if he can pick up anything. He saw foot prints showing that people were there.
"Beast Boy..." Raven whispered softly, growing more worried.
Robin shone the torch around the garden as they walked along to find Beast Boy. But no one was there. He suddenly saw a mark on the ground which was shaped like a large square. Near it was a ring.
Raven quickly picked up the ring. "It's Beast Boy's ring.." She began, as she looked at it.
"Meaning that, Beast Boy has been captured..." Robin frowned. "We'll have to look for more clues in the morning when the sun is out."
"But who caught him and why?" Raven wondered, getting more worried about him. "This is the first time we've been separated. I just hope this is all a bad dream."
"I'm just as worried as you are Raven... I'm sure we'll find him safe and well." Robin tried to sound positive for her.
"Then what will we do now?" Starfire asked. "Will we resume the search for Beast Boy in daylight?"
"Yes...We'll get Ember and Cy to help us with it too..." Robin answered, as he took one more look around the garden with the torch on.
'Beast Boy...Where are you? I need you and I love you.' Raven thought as the three Titans walked back to the Tower.
The next morning...
Robin and Starfire were in the kitchen helping themselves to breakfast, when Raven came in the room, looking worried and tired.
"I couldn't sleep...I just kept on thinking about B and what happened to him..." Raven told them, as she put her hood on. "I'm going to search for him as soon as I have had something to eat."
About half an hour later, Raven picked at her breakfast. She wondered where Beast Boy was and if he was okay.
"Good morning all! Say where's B?" Cyborg exclaimed, walking in the room with Ember by his side. He noticed the green teen wasn't with Raven.
"I-I-we don't know..." Raven replied, trying to fight back tears.
Robin told Cyborg what had happened.
"Say what now? I didn't hear a wolf howling...Then again I have music running in the background..." Cyborg began. "I wish I had it turned off though!" He frowned. "I hope B's alright."
Raven was quiet and worried about Beast Boy. She didn't say much but listened to the others talking about what had happened and where to look first. She felt lonely without Beast Boy being by her side and didn't join in the conversation.
"Titans..Let's split up and search for Beast Boy." Robin announced after a while.
Raven looked up at him and nodded. "We'll check his usual hang outs.. We've got to find him!" She began.
"Where are his usual hang outs?" Ember asked. She didn't know Beast Boy as well as Raven and the other Titans did.
"I'll show you Ember.." Cyborg gave her a quick smile. "We'll go in the T-Car..."
"What are we waiting for then! Titans Go!" Robin demanded. "We'll meet you all at home when it becomes dark."
With that, Robin, Starfire and Raven left the Tower. Cyborg and Ember went to get the T-Car.
Later that night...
The Titans had searched almost everywhere in Jump City for Beast Boy but couldn't find him anywhere. They met back at the Tower without him.
Raven grew more anxious when they got back and met in the Main Room. She went to her room and got the large green tiger soft toy that she and Beast Boy had won. She brought it back to the Main Room and sat on the couch with it on her lap.
"I take it that you were always close with Beast Boy?" Ember guessed, watching Raven crying as she hugged her large green tiger soft toy.
"Not always...When Terra got petrified we became close and inseparable." Raven explained.
Ember looked at Raven, hoping she'd tell her more.
"You obviously know I can't stand Terra, but when she became petrified B was miserable and kept himself locked in her room nearly every day and night. The other Titans couldn't snap him out of it so I had to try and bring him together. The more time I spent with him back then the more I realized how much he meant to me...He eventually stopped thinking about Terra so much and began hanging around me, that's how we became how we are now." Raven told her.
"This is the first time we've been separated since then." Raven added, as she tried drying her tears away. "I'd try his communicator but it's in our room, he left it on our dressing table."
Ember looked at her, wishing there was something she could do to help find Beast Boy.
"I'm going back to my room." Raven then got up and left the Main Room with the tiger soft toy in her arms.
Meanwhile, somewhere in a hidden lair...
"That all went according to plan. He's fast asleep thanks to the Knock out Gas we got from Gotham City...Now all we need to do is start working out on erasing his memory of Raven and replacing it with Terra. Making him think Terra is his fiancee." Slade's voice was heard saying.
"But why must we keep him chained up to the wall? And have this weird necklace thingy around his neck?" Megumi wondered, walking up to Beast Boy.
Beast Boy was chained to the wall, he had a necklace around his neck to prevent him from using his powers. His ring was missing.
"If we don't keep him chained up to the wall he'd escape! These chains are strong and will prevent him from escaping. His necklace also prevents his fiancee from contacting him by using his powers." Slade explained. "Now we have to wait for Terra to come back with the Mind Erasing and Replacing machine.."
"I'm looking forward to see how the Titans will react with a different Beast Boy!" Megumi smirked, folding her arms. "What if he begins to wake up?"
"We'll send him back to sleep of course! We don't want him awoken until Terra comes back with what's his name!" Slade replied. "They should be back soon."
"I wonder how Raven would cope knowing that Beast Boy had forgotten all about her..." Megumi smiled.
A month later...
It was night time, Raven was sitting up on the roof, meditating, and thinking about Beast Boy. She hasn't given up on looking for him.
Robin and Cyborg were playing video games although it wasn't the same without Beast Boy being there.
Ember and Starfire were painting each others fingernails and doing their hair.
"I wish I knew where B is...Raven hasn't been the same since he's vanished." Cyborg began, as he put down the controller. "I don't blame her really, B is like a brother to me and I miss him to."
Robin put down his controller and agreed with Cyborg. "If only there was a sign to say that Beast Boy was okay..."
"Hi guys! Did you miss me?" A familiar voice chirped.
Robin turned around. "Beast Boy!" He got up off the couch and ran up to him, giving the green teen a hug. "Where have you been?"
Starfire, Ember and Cyborg gathered around Beast Boy with delight and started chatting to him.
"I'll go and get Raven!" Starfire began, then turned around to leave the room.
"Raven? Who is Raven?" Beast Boy stared after Starfire in confusion.
"Very funny Beast Boy...Raven's your fiancee." Robin reminded him.
"No...I'm serious...How can this Raven girl be my fiancee when Terra is mine?" Beast Boy gasped. "Don't say I've cheated on Terra!"
"Wait Terra?" Robin grit his teeth at the mention of the name.
"Yeah, Terra will be here in a minute!" Beast Boy chirped, hugging himself. "She's my lovely fiancee. The nicest girl I've ever met."
"Um are you okay B?" Cyborg questioned. "I mean...Terra has done a lot of bad things, don't forget she's tried to break up you and Raven, AND she's also tried the same thing with Rob and Star...AND all of us Titans agreed not to have Terra back in the Tower! You even agreed."
Before Beast Boy could say anything else, Raven appeared, and flung her arms around him. Beast Boy pushed her roughly away, making the other Titans gasp.
Raven stared at him in disbelief. "Beast Boy?"
"Don't even think about going near him Goth Creep!" Terra's voice filled the room. The Titans looked towards the entrance of the Main Room and saw Terra walking in with a smirk on her face.
"Beast Boy is my fiance! Not yours so get your sticky Goth hands off him!" Terra hissed at Raven.
"You've done something to him, I don't know what but you have. Beast Boy would never push me away. He would NEVER go with you!" Raven hissed back, using her powers to throw a chair at Terra.
Terra dodged and smirked. "SO what if I did? Beast Boy is better off being with me anyway! He doesn't really love you, he doesn't even remember you!"
Raven went to throw a small table at Terra, but Beast Boy stood in front of Terra and turned into a Gorilla, meaning to protect her.
"No..Beast Boy you were meant to be with me." Raven whispered softly, putting the table down not wanting to hurt him. "What have you done to Beast Boy?"
Beast Boy turned back to his normal self and stood next to Terra.
Raven sensed he was the real Beast Boy. 'Beast Boy...Beast Boy can you hear me?' She thought to him, hoping he would hear her still through thoughts.
"Why am I hearing your voice, when your not talking?" Beast Boy glanced at Raven as he folded his arms.
"Your just probably imaging things Beast Boy, come on lets go out on a date." Terra began.
"Not so fast.." Raven gently grabbed Beast Boy's hand.
Beast Boy shook her hand away. "What are you doing?" He asked, then gave his hand to Terra. Terra proudly accepted his hand.
"See, he loves me not you!" Terra taunted her then left with Beast Boy.
"She's brainwashed him...Or someone else has. He is my Beast Boy but he'd never act that way." Raven announced to the other Titans, frowning.
"How are we going to get him back?" Robin asked.
"I think I might know a way...Might be a bit hard though but I love him and I won't give up on him. I know it's not him really doing this." Raven replied after a while of thinking.
"What is your plan to get him back?" Ember wondered.
"You'll find out soon enough!" Raven replied, with that she left the room, folding her arms.
About two hours later, Beast Boy and Terra came back. For some reason Beast Boy felt uncomfortable holding hands with Terra so he let go of her.
"Why did you let go of my hand?" Terra asked, glancing at him.
"My hands are sweating!" Beast Boy lied to her. 'Why am I feeling uncomfortable with Terra?' He thought to himself, not knowing Raven was lurking the shadows, following them.
'Because...Terra is a traitor Beast Boy..You are my fiance, not Terra's.' Raven's voice came into his thoughts.
"Gnh!" Beast Boy then glanced around as if he was looking for someone. 'It's that voice again! Why can I hear her voice in my mind?!'
"Raven's here isn't she?" Terra smirked. "Perfect..Now kiss me..."
Terra went to press her lips against Beast Boy's. Raven quickly flew out of the shadows and pushed her roughly to the ground. "His lips are mine, not yours Terra. You don't even belong here anymore."
Raven got up and used her powers to send Terra flying to the wall, pinning her on it.
"Beast Boy! Help me!" Terra demanded, glancing at the green teen.
Beast Boy looked at Terra and Raven then ran off, meaning to get the other Titans.
"You know..There's an easier way to settle this...Let's fight instead of sending me to another dimension. Who ever wins gets Beast Boy!" Terra smirked.
"Beast Boy isn't a prize you know...But I will fight you." Raven waited for the other Titans to return.
