Chapter 18: Raven vs. Terra
"Guys! GUYS! Terra's going to fight with that goth girl! Someone's gotta do something about it. I don't want my Terra hurt!" Beast Boy exclaimed, as he came running into the Main Room.
Robin, Cyborg, Starfire and Ember were talking about what to do with Terra and how to get Beast Boy's memory back.
"What?!Cyborg, go get the popcorn and drinks also the T-Car! We're going to the outskirts of Jump City to watch a fight...Star and Ember get your cheerleader costumes on! We've got a fight to cheer for!" Robin ordered, turning his attention to Beast Boy. "As for me I'm going to talk to Raven and Terra..."
"WHAT? Are you crazy? Terra could get seriously hurt!" Beast Boy cried out in dismay, looking at Robin. "Or worse!"
"To be honest, I don't care about Terra. YOU should be the one caring for Raven, after all she IS your fiancee!" Robin reminded him, folding his arms.
Starfire and Ember left the Main Room to get their cheerleader costumes.
Beast Boy stared at Robin in disbelief. "Me marrying that goth girl? PFT! As if...I'm marrying Terra and she's got the ring to show it!" He snapped at Robin.
"But, you and Raven were planning a double wedding with Star and I!" Robin began, scratching the back of his head, getting annoyed thinking about Beast Boy and Terra being together.
"I don't even know this girl your talking about! Quit playing match maker and do something about stopping Terra's fight with the goth girl!" Beast Boy frowned then walked out folding his arms.
"He's definitely been brainwashed.. B would never talk to you like that." Cyborg commented, after Beast Boy had left the room. "But how will we bring his memory back?"
"I don't know how to bring his memory back but I know we can do it. Maybe Raven is the one who can bring it back to him! I'm off to talk to Raven anyway about this fight between her and Terra." Robin then left the room.
Meanwhile...
"Please Terra! PLEASE!" Beast Boy begged her, kneeling down on his knees, and putting his hands together. "PLEASE say you won't fight against this goth girl...I don't want you to get hurt Terra. Pretty please don't fight against her."
"Oh I'm not the one that's getting hurt Beast Boy, she's the one that's going down. I will fight against her and lets say I'm going to win!" Terra responded, folding her arms while looking at Beast Boy.
Raven walked past and overheard everything.
"Come on Terra! There's got to be another way. I don't want to lose you!" Beast Boy pleaded with her.
Raven felt sick hearing him talking to Terra. "Beast Boy!" She snapped, forgetting that he was brainwashed. She stopped meaning to talk to him.
"Oh look, the loser is here. Are you ready to fight?" Terra smirked, cracking her knuckles. "But make it quick B and I have a date tonight!"
Raven glared at Terra. She already had been planning on how she was going to defeat her. "Not yet...We're going to the Outskirts of Jump City to fight. Robin's getting things ready...Beast Boy we need to talk."
Beast Boy glanced at Raven then looked at Terra lovingly. "No can do goth girl!" Beast Boy replied, folding his arms. "Besides my heart belongs to Terra!"
Raven wasn't going to give up on Beast Boy that easily. "You have absolutely no idea how much Beast Boy means to me. I know he still loves me. The only reason why you did this Terra was because you were most likely jealous of us being together. That's why you brainwashed him and made him 'yours'. I bet he doesn't treat you like a princess like he did with me before he became brainwashed."
"HAH! PFT! Why would I be jealous of you and Beast Boy? Um Hello? I betrayed you and went with Slade...Oops did I say that? My bad! Anyway Beast Boy told me how he felt about me in his own free will. He even said that he didn't want to go out with you anymore. Enough is enough! Beast Boy go and attack her!" Terra commanded, pointing her finger at Raven.
Raven stared at Terra in disbelief when she commanded Beast Boy to attack her. "Really? Your going to make my fiance attack me? Just how low can you go?"
Beast Boy turned into a dog and began to growl at Raven, he then went to bite her but something held him back. 'What am I doing? Why am I doing this?' He thought, and turned back into his normal self.
"Beast Boy! I said attack!" Terra demanded, growling at him. "Bite her, attack her! Destroy Raven!"
Raven stared at Terra in disbelief. "Is this how you've treated your other boyfriends? I mean if you had them back then before you met us.."
Terra chose to ignore that question and glared at Beast Boy for not obeying her.
"No..I mean yes I mean no! UGH I'm so confused." Beast Boy whined, then turned into a dog and ran off with his tail between his legs.
"Your using him as a puppet, you don't even love him at all." Raven hissed angrily at Terra. "Just wait until I defeat you, I'll get my fiance back to normal!" With that, Raven then left Terra behind, and ran after Beast Boy.
Hours later, at the outskirts of Jump City...(Where the Titans First met Terra!)
"I'm so ready to defeat you Terra." Raven smirked, glancing at Terra then back at the other Titans.
Beast Boy and Robin were standing together, well away from Raven and Terra while Cyborg stood between Terra and Raven, acting as a referee.
"I was about to say the same thing to you Rae-Rae!" Terra smiled, standing in front of Raven.
"YEAH! Go Raven! You can kick Terra's butt!" Starfire cheered, jumping up and down, waving her pompoms about. She and Ember were dressed in their cheer leading costumes which were similar to their normal clothes.
"Um Star..It hasn't even started yet." Robin told her, glancing at his fiancee. "You look so cute in your cheerleader outfit!" He quietly commented, giving her a quick hug.
"Then let the fighting begin already! I cannot wait to see Terra being defeated!" Starfire chirped, hugging Robin back then looking back at Terra and Raven. "Thank you fiance Robin!"
"Is everyone ready? Do you have enough pop corn and drinks? You do? That's great! Now let the battle between Raven and Terra BEGIN!" Cyborg cried out, excitedly waving down his arm.
Beast Boy held a box of popcorn in his right arm and began to eat some.
"Come on Raven you can do this!" Ember cheered. "I know you can! You've defeated her before you can defeat her now!"
Robin sat down near the two Teen Titan cheerleaders. He kept his eyes on Raven.
"Go Terra! Go Terra who's the girl! You can win this!" Beast Boy chirped, sitting next to an annoyed Robin. "Come on Terra!"
"Your meant to be cheering on for Raven!" Robin whispered to him. "Terra is our enemy not hero!"
Beast Boy frowned. "Why would I cheer for someone I don't know?" He reminded Robin, shoving a handful of popcorn in his mouth.
Robin sighed as he tried to work out how to explain to Beast Boy that he had been brainwashed.
"I'll let the loser go first!" Terra said, glancing at Raven.
"Alright you can go first then...Just let me know when you want to be sent to another dimension already!" Raven muttered to Terra.
Terra looked around the outskirts of Jump City. She remembered when she met the Titans there.
"Alright, you asked for it! You know, I never did like you Raven." Terra used her powers to lift a large boulder up into the air, she sent it flying towards Raven.
Raven quickly used her powers to shield herself, the boulder touched her shield and broke into many pieces. "I never liked you either. Have to say your fun to fight against though. Pity the fight doesn't last long itself. Then again you are weak and you can't control your powers."
"Aw you were so close Terra!" Beast Boy cried out. "OUCH! Robin what did you do that for?"
"How many times do I have to keep reminding you? Raven IS your fiancee not Terra!" Robin frowned at Beast Boy, giving him a punch on the shoulder in annoyance. "WE all hate Terra!"
"So what's it like to have a 'fiance' that is cheering for me instead of you? Doesn't it make you feel like a loser?" Terra asked, using her powers to bring another boulder up into the air, she aimed at Raven who at once used her powers again to shield herself.
Ember whistled. "Go Raven! Go Raven!" She cheered her on, jumping up and down waving her pompoms about. She wore a red skirt and a white tank top, with 'flame stripes' on the sides.
Raven chose to ignore Terra's comment. She was planning on how to defeat Terra.
"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Terra smirked, she used her powers again to send another boulder flying towards Raven, this time it missed and aimed for Beast Boy.
Terra pretended not to notice that she threw the boulder towards Beast Boy and the other Titans.
Raven did notice the boulder heading towards Beast Boy at top speed. Raven quickly flew out in front of him, and used her powers to shield him and Robin from the boulder. Cyborg was well out of the way of the incoming boulder and so were Ember and Starfire.
"What just happened?" Beast Boy questioned, glancing at Raven who shielded him and Robin.
"Leave my friends out of this." Raven hissed at Terra, ignoring Beast Boy's question, she then flew back at Terra and pushed her roughly to the ground.
"Oh did I nearly squash your friends?" Terra asked, pretending not to know that she did that.
"For someone who's supposed to be engaged to Beast Boy, you don't seem to care much about him when you sent the boulder flying to him." Raven glared at Terra, then tackled her to the ground.
Terra kicked Raven hard in the stomach, pushing her off her.
"Your just jealous that I stole Beast Boy from you! I won't let you have him back either!" Terra taunted.
Raven rolled her eyes. "Your so immature."
"So you don't remember Raven at all?" Robin stared at Beast Boy, they had been talking while Terra and Raven had been fighting.
"No...Although I remember getting a green tiger soft toy for someone maybe it was Terra? Ugh! I'm so confused. I don't know why I can't remember the goth girl." Beast Boy shrugged. "I'm trying my hardest to remember but apparently it's not hard enough. I feel uncomfortable when I'm with Terra to be honest."
"Do you remember kissing Raven?" Cyborg wondered, joining in the conversation as Starfire and Ember cheered Raven on.
"I remember kissing someone but that someone is all blurry in my mind...But I can sometimes hear the goth girl's voice in my mind when she's not talking." Beast Boy replied, looking confused.
"Why not try and talk to Raven when she wins this fight?" Robin suggested with a shrug. "She did save us from the boulder."
"I'll try...But what about Terra?" Beast Boy sighed, putting his hands under his chin.
"Who cares about Terra man! Uh-oh...Looks like Terra might be winning this fight." Cyborg gasped, turning his attention back to Raven and Terra.
Raven appeared to look like she was weakening, much to Terra's delight, Terra had pinned her on the ground, and started kicking and punching her.
"Not as strong as you thought you would be huh?" Terra smirked. "OH well! One more blow and your gone! KABOOM!" Terra was about to use her powers to summon another boulder, before Raven interrupted.
"That's what you think Terra..." Raven replied. "I still have one more trick up my sleeve which I have been saving." Raven's eyes changed colour to red, and started to glow. She began to grow taller then Terra, and snarled at her.
Terra gasped watching Raven beginning to transform into her demonic form.
"Now will you give Beast Boy back to me? Or will I send you to another dimension?" Raven snarled, as she began to grow taller.
Terra stared at Raven, speechless and terrified. A portal appeared nearby. Before Raven could do anything else, Terra 'gave in'.
"Okay! OKAY! I give in! You can have him back!" Terra shouted in fear, staring at the portal then back at Raven.
"RAVEN!" Robin called out.
Raven returned back to her normal self. "That is all I ask for...If this is a trick, the next time won't be a warning." She hissed as she began to walk over to the other Titans.
Terra smirked, as she watched Raven walk back to the other Titans, she stood up and used her powers to summon another boulder, she sent it flying at full speed towards Raven, the boulder pushed her hard to the ground, knocking her out completely. Raven didn't have a chance to react or to shield herself from the boulder. Raven fell to the ground, without a sound.
"NOT! As if I'll give him up!" Terra snickered looking at the now unconscious Raven. "Not as strong as you thought you were huh?"
"RAVEN!" Starfire, Robin, Cyborg and Ember exclaimed as they ran up to her worriedly.
Raven lay perfectly still on the ground, she was breathing but injured. Her arms were spread out.
"Raven!" Robin knelt down beside the half demon half human Titan, he gently picked her up in his arms. "Let's get her back to the tower NOW!" He demanded, as he began to head towards the T-Car.
Terra smirked she felt proud of herself. She was about to say something else but Beast Boy interrupted her.
"I don't know why but I'm starting to feel worried about that goth girl..Will she be alright?" Beast Boy wondered, glancing at Terra and watching Robin putting an unconscious Raven in the T-Car.
"Oh, she'll be alright!" Terra replied, adding a sinister tone to her voice. "Just don't go near her or she might turn into the demon form, like she did just moments ago!"
Beast Boy stared at Terra in confusion. He shrugged then went to join the Titans in the T-Car.
Cyborg and Ember sat in the front, Robin sat on the backseat, next to Raven, who was sitting in the middle seat unconscious. Beast Boy sat next to her. Starfire decided to fly to protect her friends from Terra.
An hour later...
Robin stayed by Raven's side. She was still unconscious and healing herself, she was floating above the bed in the Titans Tower Hospital Room.
Starfire was guarding the door, in case Terra came in. Terra refused to leave the Titans alone and had came back to the Tower with them.
Ember joined Starfire's side, worried about Raven.
Cyborg, Beast Boy and Terra were no where to be seen.
"Come on Raven, pull through! I know you can." Robin began to talk to her. "For Beast Boy's sake!"
Starfire heard Robin talking and went into the room, Ember stayed guarding the door.
"Robin?" Starfire looked at him then Raven. "How is she?"
"She's still the same as she was earlier...Terra had hit her hard with the boulder, knocking her out completely. She's still healing herself." Robin replied. "Where is Beast Boy?"
"The last time I saw him, he was with the traitor Terra." Starfire replied, sitting next to Robin. "How long will it take Raven to recover?"
"I'm not sure Star..." Robin replied, he looked worried. He looked at Raven hoping she'd pull through.
Meanwhile with Terra and Beast Boy..
Beast Boy sat up on the roof with Terra, waiting for the sunset. He couldn't stop thinking about the goth girl though, how she got knocked out. "Do you think that girl will be okay?" He kept on asking Terra.
"Ask one more time and I'll push you off the roof!" Terra hissed, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth.
"Some fiancee you are!" Beast Boy frowned at her, getting up. "I'm going to check on her...I can't help feeling worried about that girl.."
Terra quickly grabbed his hand. "NO! You are to stay with me and watch the sunset with me so that we can kiss!" She demanded, glaring at him.
"But I don't want to kiss you..." Beast Boy began, the next thing he knew, before he could say anything else, Terra pushed him roughly off the Titans Tower roof
Beast Boy quickly turned into a hawk, meaning to fly away from Terra. Terra summoned a boulder and held it over him.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Cyborg's voice came shouting at Terra. He quickly ran towards the blonde, distracting her for a moment so Beast Boy could make an escape.
Beast Boy flew to Cyborg's side and turned back to his normal self.
Terra huffed and stalked off without another word.
"What happened?" Cyborg asked, turning his attention to Beast Boy.
Beast Boy told him everything.
"Sounds like she doesn't really love you. Raven does though, she loves you more then anything in the world." Cyborg said. "Come on B, you've got to let Terra go. She's not good for you I mean look what she just did to you!"
"I'm sure Terra didn't really mean that though! I'm going to talk to her!" Beast Boy then ran off after her.
Cyborg sighed. "Beast Boy...You must be blind to think Terra loves you..." He muttered quietly to himself.
Terra was in her room, using her laptop, talking to someone on it by video call. She gasped hearing a knock at the door and quickly shut her laptop and hid it under her bed.
"Who is it?" She called out.
"It's me Beast Boy..."
"UGH! Leave me alone...I'm busy can't you see?!" Terra shouted at him, through the door, refusing to open it.
"But Terra..I wanted to say I'm sorry for what ever I said made you upset." Beast Boy started to say.
Terra stayed quiet for a moment then frowned. "Yeah, well what ever..I'm quitting the team, I've done what I had to do, oh and Beast Boy you can keep your stupid ring!" She quickly took off her 'engagement' ring and threw it under the door.
"Does this mean we're through because of what I said?"
"Yes..And I have other important things to do...Now I've done my job." Terra quickly got her laptop.
"Job? What job?" Beast Boy questioned her.
Terra said nothing and pretended not to be there as she opened her laptop again.
Beast Boy waited awhile for her to answer him. "Well whatever...I'm going to check on the goth girl to see if she's okay!" He called out through the door and began to walk away.
Terra didn't stop him this time. She had other plans.
Ember guarded the door, she smiled seeing Beast Boy walking up to her, looking worried.
"How is she?" Beast Boy asked, looking at Ember.
"Still the same as before. She is still healing herself." Ember replied, looking around to see if Terra was about.
"I'm going to talk to her..." Beast Boy said.
Ember quietly opened the door, she let Beast Boy in the room then closed it.
"Do you um mind if I talk to the goth girl alone?" Beast Boy gazed worriedly at Raven, seeing that she was still unconscious. He then looked at Robin and Starfire who were still by Raven's bedside. "I'm worried about her. And maybe if I talk to her she'll wake up."
Robin and Starfire nodded, getting up. They left the room without another word.
Beast Boy stood near Raven, looking more worried. He suddenly found himself tucking Raven's hair behind her ears. "Your so beautiful...What am I saying? I don't even know you! But really, you are beautiful..." He quietly told her.
"Goth Girl, please wake up...I want us to talk..I feel like I know you from somewhere but I can't figure out where!" Beast Boy continued to say. He gently grabbed hold of her left hand and noticed the rings. The rings looked familiar to him.
Beast Boy looked around her, then found a heart shaped locket necklace that was laying beside Raven. He picked it up, and was about to open it to see what was inside.
Raven stirred a bit.
"G-Goth Girl?" Beast Boy wondered, hoping that meant that she was going to wake up.
"B-Beast Boy?" Raven mumbled, she woke up from being unconscious and sat up straight on the bed, she looked at him.
"Goth Girl!" Beast Boy chirped in delight. "I am relieved that you are okay!"
Before Raven could say anything else, a commotion was heard outside of the door.
Now that Raven awake what will happen next?
Will Beast Boy get his memories back?
What is Terra's new plans?
What is the commotion about?
