Chapter 1: Prologue
The phone rang in the Fowl Manor. Artemis Fowl Senior picked it up, "Hello. Fowl Manor. Artemis Fowl speaking."
A sweet voice came from the other line, "Artemis, its Miriam."
"Miriam. Hi. So why did you call?"
"Well, I have an important meeting and I'll be gone for most of the summer. Do you have any suggestions where I can leave Carmen?"
Then, Artemis Senior got an idea, "Why doesn't she stay with us! It would be great! Artemis and Carmen can spend time together."
"Are you sure? Can you really handle her? And will Artemis really like Carmen there?"
"Of course I can. Besides I have Butler. I'm sure Artemis would like to catch up with her."
"Alright. Thanks Artemis. She's yours to care of."
"Okay. Bye."
"Bye."
The conversation ended. Artemis Fowl I couldn't wait to tell her wife about Carmen's scheduled visit. He rushed to the lounge where Angeline Fowl sat in a rich velvet armchair facing the window overlooking the estate.
"Angeline!" Fowl senior bursted into the room. Angeline Fowl was soo surprised she let out a yelp.
"Oh, darling. Don't ever do that again!" she said almost immediately, "You scared the life out of me." Artemis Fowl Senior ignored what his wife has said and told her about his conversation with Miriam. Angeline loved the idea. She any saw Carmen twice before: on her 1st birthday and on a family reunion when she was seven.
"Darling, are you serious! She's going to come...HERE?"
Artemis I nodded furiously. As if on cue they both rushed out the door entering the long hallway the same time Artemis the second exit his own quarters. The Fowl parents were looking for their son and meet him—or bumped into him on one of the corners of the hallway.
"Arty. I'm sorry but we have something really important to tell you. Carm—" He was cut off by his wife.
"Carmen is coming for the summer it's going to the soo much fun!" Angeline finished for her husband.
Artemis was still on the cold floor letting it all it sink in as the couple waited for his response.
"It will be fun!" He could have said more but his brain wouldn't allow him.
How was that? It isn't that good. I know I'm leaving you all hanging about the new characters but more on that in the next chapter. Please R&R. Thanx.
