Chapter 27: Escape and Punishment
Author's Note: The Titans are still on Tamaran and this is apart of the Tamaranian Wedding
Ember took off her gloves, and watched as her hands began to glow fiery red.
"Mummy, why are Ember's hands burning?" Mika asked, watching from her cylinder. Mika kicked and punched at the cylinder. "Is Ember okay?"
Raven looked over at Ember and had guessed her plans. She watched as Ember pressed her now glowing fiery red hands against the glass, watching as the glass shattered everywhere.
"YES! My idea worked! He may have blocked your powers but he couldn't block mine!" Ember cried out, rushing over to Raven to free her first.
"Thank you, Ember!" Raven said, after she had been freed. She watched Ember free the other Titans, Beast Boy last. Ember put her gloves back on afterwards and beamed after the Titans had thanked her for rescuing them.
Beast Boy rushed over to Raven's side and hugged her. "I've been apart from you, for far too long Rae-Rae! Thank you, Ember!" He chirped, rubbing his cheek against Raven's. Mika and Sami ran to Raven and Beast Boy, the twins hugged their parents tightly. Raven and Beast Boy hugged them back, relieved that they were safe.
Raven blushed. "Your too cute, B! So Nightwing what happens now that we're all free?" She looked at the Titans leader.
"We'll fight back and get revenge on Val-yor and figure out what his plans were for Tamaran. He must be stopped." Nightwing announced, punching his fist into his hand.
"The guy betrayed us so he gets what he deserves. How are we going to get revenge on him when we don't know where on Tamaran he's hiding?" Cyborg asked, raising an eye brow.
"Good point. I guess what we could do is slit up and search for him, and who ever finds him calls the rest of the Titans for backup." Nightwing suggested with a shrug.
"Sounds great to me! Let's go!" Beast Boy grinned. "But wait, what if we can't find Val-yor, where would we meet?"
"Back at the Titans Space Ships. TITANS GO!" Nightwing demanded, running towards the door. He opened it and an alarm went off.
"Eh-oh..." Beast Boy gulped standing still wondering what was going to happen. A Red Light flashed in the room quickly several times, a loud siren was heard.
"TITANS GO! Let's escape don't worry about the alarm, we'll fight the bad guys if they appear! Come on let's move!" Nightwing ordered, waving his arm over his shoulder to tell his Team to hurry and escape.
The Titans rushed out of the room, Starfire scooped Kori up in her arms and flew out of the door with a worried look on her face, she stayed by Nightwing's side. Raven picked up Sami while Beast Boy picked Mika up in his arms, together the Titans ran out of the door, ready to fight who ever was around the corner.
Ember and Cyborg raced out and sighed in relief after learning everyone was safe.
"Now what?" Ember asked turning her attention to Nightwing.
Before Nightwing could reply, a Star-Bolt came flying at him, he quickly ducked and watched the Star-Bolt hit the wall. He looked ahead of him and saw a Tamaranian, wearing a red necklace. The Tamaranian's eyes were red.
"Stop right there, do not move or I will destroy you." The Tamaranian warned Nightwing. Another figure appeared next to the Tamaranian, this time it was Val-yor.
"Very well said there Troq...Yes as this Troq said, he will destroy you if you come any closer..." Val-yor told Nightwing.
Nightwing couldn't bare Val-yor calling the Tamaranian people a Troq, which meant the Tamaranian people were nothing to him.
"As if I'd leave you with out a fight...TITANS GO!" He demanded. "After Val-yor, not the Tamaran! We don't want to hurt the Tamaranian!"
"What if he attacks us?" Cyborg asked, sounding unsure. He rubbed his hand under his chin as he looked at Nightwing.
"Do your best not to fight back. The Tamaranian are our friends! It's the necklace that's controlling them." Nightwing replied, getting ready to fight.
Starfire flew over to Val-yor and held a Star-Bolt in her hands. "I do not wish to hurt you former friend Val-yor, but you leave me no choice after calling my family and species Troq..." She unleashed the Star-Bolt at Val-yor who simply jumped out of the way on time, making Starfire hit another Tamaranian who was making his way to Val-yor.
The Tamaranian reacted angrily, he threw a bunch of Star-Bolts back at Starfire who got sent flying towards the wall, crashing into it. A whole appeared in the wall due to the impact.
"STARFIRE!" Nightwing cried out, watching in horror. He ran to her side and helped Starfire up. Kori was safely in Cyborg's arms, and didn't see what happened to her mother, which was a relief to Cyborg.
Val-yor smirked. "See, you are all Troq and are useless at fighting too! You can't even aim for me!"
"That's what you think...Beast Boy, could you look after the twins? Thank you...Val-yor you leave me no choice...GAH!" Raven began, before Val-yor ordered another Tamaranian to shoot a Star-Bolt at her. Raven was sent flying down to the ground.
"Rae!" Beast Boy exclaimed, running to her side.
"I'm fine, hey I fought Terra, I can fight this creep! He's weak, he's using the Tamaranian to fight instead of himself." Raven assured him, as Beast Boy helped her up. The Twins hid behind Cyborg in fear.
"It's okay you two, I'll look after you..." Cyborg knelt down beside the twins and hugged them close to him. "AS much as I'd love to help the others fight Val-yor, I'd rather protect you kids...Thank you Em... You three kids and Ember are important to me. Let's play a little game while your parents are busy fighting the bad guys." Cyborg smiled.
"Okay Uncle Cy! What game will we be playing?" Kori asked, tilting her head cutely as she looked up at him.
"Hm maybe I Spy...No wait...I know why don't you three pick a game?" Cyborg grinned. The three children at once began talking together excitedly.
Ember stayed by Cyborg's side, ready to fight Val-yor if he went near the three youngest Titans.
"Why don't we pretend Uncle Cyborg is a horse and ride on his back? Daddy does that except he turns into a horse!" Mika smiled, looking at Cyborg.
"Well okay!" Cyborg smiled back to the twins and Kori. He knelt down on his knees and placed his hands on the ground. "Neigh! Who wants to ride on Uncle Cy's back?"
"Me! Pick me!" Kori exclaimed.
"No me!" Sami joined in, waving his hand.
"I suggested it so I should be on first!" Mika chimed in, folding her arms.
Ember glanced at Cyborg and smiled seeing the three youngest Titans riding on his back, she looked back at Val-yor and the other Titans. She was ready to protect them.
"How dare you use a Tamaranian for a weapon!" Nightwing yelled at Val-yor, clenching his fists after helping Starfire up. "Tamaranian are wonderful people and clearly you are not. I'm happily married to a Tamaranian. Val-yor I want to fight, just you and me, I don't want you to include the Tamaranian."
"Nightwing..." Starfire gasped, clasping her hands together over her mouth. She looked at him worried, she had quickly recovered from being thrown to the wall.
"Fine, I accept but I must warn you they might come and help me out, even if they are Troq..." Val-yor accepted Nightwing's challenge.
A smirk grew on Nightwing's face. "Heh, I must tell you, you will be the one losing the battle, and you've obviously lost your position as our friend...Why did you take over Tamaran and how?" Nightwing ran up to Val-yor, with his fists clenched.
Val-yor rolled his eyes and clicked his fingers. A Star-Bolt appeared from nowhere and hit Nightwing's shoulder.
"GNH! CHEATER!" Nightwing snapped, putting his hand on his shoulder which was now in pain. "I told you not to use the Tamaran!"
"I didn't...It was your wife who threw the Star-Bolt...After all she is the only Tamaran around here." Val-yor assured Nightwing with a smirk.
"But Nightwing, you know I would never harm you!" Starfire began, looking worried and upset.
"I don't believe you Val-yor...Star would never hurt me. We've been together for so long and we have a child...She's not the type of person to betray us..Quit trying to cause an argument and fight properly like a man, if you are one!" Nightwing yelled at Val-yor. "Star, I know you wouldn't hurt me, I love you!"
"And I love you too Nightwing!" Starfire gave him a gentle smile and flew to Raven's side.
"Touching...A human and a troq...Enough of that." Val-yor stomped his foot several times. He suddenly began doing a strange dance, and clicked his fingers while he was dancing.
"Huh?" Beast Boy blinked watching as Val-yor danced around. "Um, why is he dancing?" He looked at Raven then back at Val-yor.
"He's up to something...Arazerath, Metreon Zinthous!" Raven shielded herself and the Titans. As soon as she did that, several Star-Bolts came flying at them.
"Great save Raven! Thank you, we've got to work out how to stop Val-yor from controlling the Tamaran." Nightwing complimented.
The twins and Kori quickly got off Cyborg's back when Raven put her 'Magic Shield' on. They knew there was danger about then. They raced to their parents sides at once.
"Mummy, what is that big old Monster doing?" Mika asked, tilting her head, while she watched Val-yor dancing.
"He is dancing, but not an ordinary dance, this is one of his attacks..." Raven told her.
"Is he a happy man Mummy?" Kori asked looking at Starfire. "People do the dance of happiness if they're happy...But he doesn't look happy, in fact he looks scary!"
"Darling he is not a happy man, he is evil and we must stop him, before he ruins Tamaran..." Starfire hugged Kori.
"Raven, let go of your shield for a moment, I'm going out!" Nightwing ordered.
Raven nodded and let him free. She knew there was no point arguing with him.
"I will go to, Raven can you please look after Kori?" Starfire joined in, not wanting to leave Nightwing fighting by himself.
"Okay..Just be careful you guys..." Raven replied. Kori ran to Raven's side and hugged her.
"Auntie Raven, will Mummy and Daddy be safe?" Kori asked, sounding scared.
"I'm sure they will be! They have fought other villains before...Why don't you three play with Uncle Cyborg? I've got to protect everyone." Raven assured her. She hoped she was right.
"Two against one? That's unfair!" Val-yor snapped at Nightwing.
"The only thing that's unfair is that Starfire and I are going to win against you! Star, ready? Good let's go!" Nightwing smirked then pulled out a newly modified version of is batarang's. He threw them at Val-yor.
Starfire threw Star-Bolts at Val-yor, covering him with them. "HEYA! Heyah! Take this! This is for Tamaran!" She shouted as she threw them.
Nightwing kept throwing more Batarangs at Val-yor. "Let's stop for a second..."
Val-yor stood up, and wiped the dust off his arm. "Was that meant to hurt?"
"But how? Let's keep going!" Nightwing ordered and threw more batarang's at Val-yor.
Starfire joined in throwing Star-Bolts at him.
Raven watched her friends fighting Val-yor, she wished she could join the fight but she couldn't since she was holding the shield up.
"Are you okay, Rae-Rae?" Beast Boy asked. "I mean, how long can you hold this shield up for?"
"I'm not sure how long I can hold it up for, but I hope Star and Nightwing finish soon..." Raven replied and stole a quick kiss from him.
"I wish I could help you hold the shield up!" Beast Boy slipped his arms around Raven's waist and hugged her. "I love you!"
"I love you too, B!" Raven smiled. The shield remained strong.
After a while, Starfire and Nightwing stopped.
Val-yor still stood up, he had scratches and bruises on him but he still refused to give up. As far as it looked anyway.
Will Val-yor give in?
Will Starfire, Nightwing, Beast Boy and Raven remarry on Tamaran?
