Right On The Theory
Shouto Todoroki
The first time that they noticed how close Present Mic and their teacher were came after the USJ. When Aizawa had arrived back at U.A. covered head to toe in bandages, they were all concerned about him, but it was the first clue to the fact that something more was going on. With the little bit of time that they had with Aizawa so far, they had a pretty decent idea of what kind of person he was. He never did seem like the type of person to ask for help even if he clearly needed it.
It threw them off to see that Aizawa was letting Mic help him out. Even if it was as small as carrying a coffee into the classroom or carrying his folders that Aizawa had clearly shown he was stubborn enough to do on his own.
Even when Aizawa was out of the bandages, they noticed that it continued. They would just be walking side by side, occasionally swapping items that they were holding. If Aizawa was taking a drink of coffee, Mic immediately reached for his stuff and vice versa. It was like it was a routine to the two of them.
They had also noticed just how much the two of them were together. Out of the entirety of the staff, those two were always around each other unless they had a class to teach.
It all started from one single line that came from Ashido with her saying, "Do you think Aizawa-sensei has ever been in love?" That one question had started making them pay closer attention.
They had all practically dropped everything that they had been doing and looked over at Ashido in complete stunned silence. Kirishima chuckled for a second, muttering out, "Maybe? It's hard to tell."
Kaminari laughed, shaking his head, "I don't think so. He seems more into hero work than anything."
Midoriya sighed, leaning forward, and balancing his face on his palms. "He does seem to only do things for school and hero work."
Todoroki made a noise for a moment, humming as he looked down at the cup in his hand. "I know he has."
Eyes turned the dual quirk user as Uraraka said, "Who do you think it could be?"
"Here goes Todoroki and his conspiracies." Kirishima teased, leaning in, and poking at Todoroki's arm.
Todoroki shrugged. "Mic-sensei." He knew for a fact that he couldn't be wrong on this. Not after observing his teachers for so long. The only other possibility could have been Midnight, but Todoroki was positive that Aizawa was as straight as a circle. He never so much looked in the direction of a woman. Just seeing how he interacted with that one teacher, Ms. Joke, was enough to tell him that.
There was a mixture of laughter and denials that came from the class as Ashido piped up with, "Mic-sensei is so loud, and Aizawa-sensei doesn't like… that."
"Who are we to say what he likes and doesn't like?" Todoroki shot back, not saying another word as he took a drink. "If you actually paid attention, you'd see it. Try and see for yourself."
Todoroki had first noticed it at the USJ. When he had seen Mic's face after he saw Aizawa. It was clear as day just how angry he was. A dead silence that he had. That was not what Mic usually acted like. It was such unaltered anger. Mic was always so loud, but in that moment, the only sound he had made was to attack the villains. From that moment on, he had noticed the smaller things. Just like the others had started talking about. Maybe, they were starting to see what he did.
That alone had been what started it all.
If only, they knew.
They might call it a conspiracy theory, but he was absolutely right, and he knew it.

Katsuki Bakugou
The next instance that had caused questioning was when Aizawa got back from doing one of his nighttime patrols, getting back early enough that he had came to check in on the class. Which was something that he always did whenever he came back from having a patrol outside of the school. They had all been expecting him when he had walked in. Still completely decked out in his hero gear. Looking disheveled a bit more than usual. Aizawa was scratching at his eyes with the back of his finger. Completely bloodshot and looking drier than usual just from a glance.
Bakugou could have winced himself from the thought of how painful that probably was. It didn't look comfortable at all. Aizawa looked more worn out than usual. Like he was ready to drop dead right then and there. This is why Bakugou prioritized his sleep and resting time. Aizawa did too, in a way, but he had a lot more on his plate than Bakugou did.
"Aizawa-sensei, are you alright?" Yaoyorozu questioned.
Aizawa had all but bumped into the wall when he had started to make his exit. Hitting his forehead against the corner. He rubbed at his head with his free hand. Nodding as he grumbled, "Nothing a bit of eyedrops won't help." He was still rubbing at his eyes but had turned to brace his back against the wall, dropping his other hand into his pocket before he stopped. The look on his face said enough.
He didn't have his eyedrops.
"I'll check the First Aid Kit!" Iida immediately said.
Aizawa waved his hand, "It's fine, I have more in my room." Aizawa sounded exhausted. More so than usual. "You kids get ready for bed. It's late."
"Yes, sir." He got back from some of them.
Though, the concern was obvious among them. They were used to seeing him so exhausted, but never stumbling over his feet and running into walls tired. It was like it was painful for him to see or look around at them. He was avoiding looking up near lights, keeping his head down. Using his hand to shield any light that might get into his eyes.
"Would you at least like some medicine, sensei?" Midoriya questioned, the concern written on his face as he stepped forward. Hands out like he was ready to assist Aizawa if he needed it.
"I'm alright, Midoriya." Aizawa muttered, moving to start for the door again. A few of them shared looks as they noticed that Aizawa kept bracing his hand on the wall. Like he was using it to guide him around.
"We can help you to your room." Shinsou stated, moving to Aizawa's other side.
It almost seemed uncharacteristic that Aizawa let a soft smile come to his face. Barely peeking out from underneath his capture weapon as he shook his head. "I'll get there. Might just take me an extra minute. Sometimes when I overuse my eyes, it makes seeing difficult."
"Why are you like this? Why is it that all heroes are bad about letting other heroes help them when they need it?" Shinsou grumbled, rolling his eyes as he did reach out for Aizawa. Aizawa let him, but Shinsou had kept his grasp mostly on Aizawa's arm, giving a subtle nod to Midoriya. A few of them thought that Aizawa was only allowing this because of how tired he looked.
The door opened, Mic's louder voice carrying through the room as he called out for Aizawa. Aizawa had flinched at the sudden noise. Grimacing as he grabbed at his head again. Mic came in, pausing as he noticed all of them standing there. Unlike Aizawa, he wasn't in his hero costume. Just standard street clothes and hair pulled up behind his head.
He gave a soft smile, "After All Might said he saw you and you weren't in your room, I thought you'd be here." He walked forward, pausing for a second. Almost as if he was reading Aizawa's body language as Aizawa peeked up through his hair. "Eyes hurt?" Aizawa replied with a small nod. "Why haven't you used some of your medicated drops yet?"
Aizawa grumbled, "I must have lost them."
Mic chuckled for a second, reaching into his jacket pocket and pulling out a small bottle of eyedrops and handing them over. With this, the two students let go of Aizawa so he could do his thing. He tilted his head back, getting the eyedrops into his eyes. There was a look of relief that came to his face a second later as some of the drops fell out of his eyes and down his face.
Aizawa reached up, wiping at the spilled over liquid on his face, blinking a few times as he rubbed at his head. Mic reached out, muttering, "C'mon." They sat there stunned as Aizawa allowed Mic to grab onto his arm, starting to pull him for the door. "Thanks, listeners. I'll take care of him from here."
"Thank you, Mic-sensei!" Ashido exclaimed. They all waited until the two were out the door and Ashido was squealing out, "Oh my God, he carries eyedrops for Aizawa-sensei."
Not far from them, Todoroki and Bakugou shared a look as Todoroki whispered, "Secret lovers."
Bakugou had to admit. Even though most of the time, Todoroki was dense roughly ninety-nine percent of the time, he was actually on to something. It had been so subtle, but it was written all over Mic's face. Especially in his eyes. That was not how someone looked at just a friend. This had to be the one percent of the times where the dumbass actually a brain cell in his body.
Bakugou leaned in, adding in, "I think your dumbass might be right."
Todoroki was probably hands down the most socially incompetent out of all of them, and he had noticed before anyone else. At least the person who even gave the possibility that something might be going on between the two. Bakugou had to give him props for once.
Todoroki was onto something.

Kyoka Jirou
The next time that someone started to realize that Todoroki's conspiracy theory might not actually be a conspiracy theory came when Aizawa had a new phone case on his phone. It didn't seem like something that he would have one his phone. Even he looked surprised when he pulled it from his pocket and the phone case was staring back at him.
The phone had gone off, which had made Aizawa annoyed at first, thinking that the phone wasn't the one that was going off in his pocket at first. Aizawa always had his phone on silent. Even the ringtone felt off. It was so upbeat. Like club music. Aizawa typically never pulled his phone out in class, but when he did pull it out, it was usually in the case if something was going on with Eri and they were trying to get ahold of him. Jirou had seen it before. Aizawa's phone case was pure black. A sleek black color with no decoration on it.
The phone case was yellow and accented in black covered in musical notes and musical instruments. It didn't look like his phone either.
"Nice phone case, Aizawa-sensei." Kaminari stated, grinning from ear to ear as he leaned back in his chair. "Didn't take you as the decorative phone case type of guy."
Jirou was eyeing it. That definitely wasn't Aizawa's phone. Just looking at it screamed not Aizawa. Aizawa was quick to shove it back into his pocket after tapping at the screen for a second. Moving on the conversation, "It's nothing. Moving on."
Homeroom did move on, continuing like nothing had happened. By the end of it, Aizawa was making final announcements before putting his attention on the door for Mic to come into the room. Mic gave his very loud, charismatic entrance as usual, almost too happy at the start of the day for English. It was too early in the morning for this.
Jirou sighed as she pulled out her English notebook, pausing as she noticed that Aizawa and Mic had stopped at the door. They weren't saying a word to each other, but she had seen it. Mic had pulled a phone from his pocket. One with a sleek black phone case on it as Aizawa did the same. Trading off the phones before Aizawa was exiting the room, shutting the door behind him.
Mic had shoved the phone back into his pocket before anyone else had noticed, going up to the podium and announcing their lesson.
No wonder it felt wrong that Aizawa would suddenly switch phone cases. It wasn't his phone. It was Mic's. Jirou's jaw dropped as her eyes widened. She peered over her shoulder at Todoroki. He had a satisfied smile on his face, chin balanced on one palm as he kicked his feet similar to a kid who was happy about something. Todoroki noticed that she was looking at him, shrugging his shoulders as he stopped what he was doing, straightening his back, and looking back to Mic.
Todoroki was right.
She turned her attention back to the front of the room, looking back at Todoroki before looking back at Mic. What did Todoroki know? There was no way that Aizawa just coincidentally ended up with Mic's phone. Jirou's eyebrow shot up. There was absolutely something going on there.

Momo Yaoyorozu
Yaoyorozu prided herself in her observation skills. Things that she could notice came in handy. Though, she wasn't inclined to believe Todoroki's theory about Aizawa, mostly from seeing how Aizawa interacted with others. He was very introverted. Seemly only dealing with people when he had too.
She didn't want to say that it wasn't possible, but he gave no indication that he was with someone. The question that Ashido had asked was if they thought he had ever been in love. Maybe, she was just looking for signs that she saw in her parents, but she just wasn't seeing it. Todoroki was adamant that the person Aizawa was in love with was Present Mic. They certainly were close. There was no denying that.
They were out and about in town, Aizawa was walking ahead of them with Eri's hand firmly in his. The two of them were talking to each other and Mic was walking alongside Aizawa on his other side. Aizawa's attention was only pulled away long enough when Yaoyorozu noticed that Mic had grazed the tips of Aizawa's fingers with his own. Dropping them almost as soon as he did it. Aizawa looked at him while giving a nod and Mic was taking off. She couldn't tell what they were saying since they were a bit away from them, but Aizawa returned back to his conversation.
For the meantime, Yaoyorozu spoke with her classmates. More specifically, the other girls who were walking with her. This was a day out. They were going to enjoy it.
They continued along until they got gotten to a nearby park that was surrounded by different booths for food and different items. They had broken off, but Yaoyorozu's group was relatively close to the teachers. Some of the couples of the class were split off together. Like Todoroki and Bakugou. Midoriya and Shinsou. Uraraka and Asui were holding hands despite being right next to them. Kirishima was with them since Ashido was on his back as he walked along, speaking happily with the other girls. Yaoyorozu was holding her hand in Iida's, feeling the warmth that his palm provided.
For a second, it made her think of what Mic had done to Aizawa. It was like he was reaching out to hold his hand. Not just get his attention. He could have said his name. It was like he reached out just to touch him. It's what couples did. Held hands. Hugged. Just simple touches that normally others didn't do unless they were close. Aizawa definitely wasn't the touchy type of guy. If anything, he seemed to shy away from it.
Not long after their arrival, Mic had returned with two coffee cups in hand. "Here you go, Shou." Handing one over to Aizawa. Yaoyorozu didn't miss the way that Aizawa seemed to linger for a second before pulling away. Aizawa had a soft smile on his face as he looked back towards where Eri had ran off towards Midoriya and Shinsou.
Shou.
Yaoyorozu blinked.
She knew that Aizawa's given name was Shouta. She just didn't expect someone like Aizawa would be so comfortable with someone not only using his given name, but also a nickname of his given name at that.
As Aizawa took a drink, a look of happiness came to his face momentarily as he muttered out, "Perfect as always."
She blinked again.
"Hey, now!" Mic exclaimed, "Of course I'm going to have your coffee order memorized!" He rattled off exactly what Yaoyorozu would presume was in the coffee he gave to Aizawa. The fond look that Aizawa gave him a second later was telling enough. Mic had returned it, taking a drink of his own coffee before Aizawa looked back towards Eri, gasping for a second before he was jumping up, handing his coffee back to Mic, and rushing off in her direction with a call of her name.
She peered over to where Todoroki was, seeing the smirk on his face as he looked in their direction before he was turning to Bakugou again. Todoroki had leaned back into Bakugou, muttering something to him and she could see the amused look come to Bakugou's face before he was rolling his eyes and pulling Todoroki along.
Maybe, Todoroki was right about what he said a while back.
"What do you think, Momo?" Ashido questioned.
Yaoyorozu was ripped away from what she had just witnessed, placing a smile on her face as she placed her attention back on her friends. She had been so confident in Todoroki before, why wasn't she this time? He did seem to be right about this. It made her chuckle as she returned to the conversation, leaning further into Iida's side.

Izuku Midoriya
Even within the dorms, Present Mic still kept his radio show "Put Your Hands Up Radio" for nonstop music on Fridays. Every Friday. It never swayed. Mic would leave the campus almost as soon as school got out to prepare for it. He had been doing that only recently. Heading out long before he normally would. The class had gotten into the habit of playing his radio show every Friday after they all got back from whatever they would be doing following the end of the school day.
It just kind of became their thing.
Occasionally, ever since Aizawa had became Eri's foster father, he would bring her over on those nights. They made it the night that they made sure each of them was present for dinner and not just come and go with it. Sometimes, it would end with dance parties if the music was hitting just right that. Aizawa usually never stuck around for that. Usually only long enough to let Eri see everyone for a while before they were calling it a night since Aizawa would also have to go patrol. He did a lot of his patrols on the weekends. Being able to stay out later on those days.
This night, Aizawa had brought Eri over. Letting her mingle with the others as well as have dinner with them. Eri was sitting in between Midoriya and Kirishima, happily eating on the food that Bakugou had made. Aizawa was sitting off to the side of the room, phone in hand and looking at it rather than speaking with the rest of them. That's what he tended to do, so nobody questioned it.
As the song that had been playing came to an end, Mic's voice had cut through before a new song played, "For a long time now, all of you banging listeners have been requesting that I put out some original music! So, for a treat tonight, after almost getting my butt kicked into this by someone… here we go! As you know, I'm a pro hero and it's a line of work that I adore to do. As a kid, me and my friends had this dream that we would all become heroes one day, and we did exactly that." As Mic continued to talk, they had all noticed that Aizawa had peeked up, tilting his phone down to show that he was also paying attention to what Mic was saying. Todoroki's gaze narrowed. He could see it, very carefully looking, peeking out just slightly from the binding cloth was a smile. "As a hero, one thing I have learned over the years is to cherish each and every life. Especially to those closest to you, because you never know when today might be your last. This first song is for someone I cherish more than anything. Someone I couldn't live without. I know you're listening; you know exactly who you are, this is for you."
The song started to play and immediately the room had broken out into either gossip or gushing. Trying to figure out who Mic was talking about. Midoriya could only blink as he watched Aizawa bury his nose completely in his scarf. A flush coming to his face as he used his hand to push the fabric up higher.
Wait a second?
Was Aizawa blushing? He couldn't be sure, but it sure as hell looked like it. Midoriya turned his gaze to Todoroki, seeing the knowing look that was there, as if he knew exactly who Mic was talking about. Mic didn't give any indication to who he was talking about. Just someone special. It was all Aizawa's very mild body language change that told him what he needed to know.
Todoroki just had a smirk come to his face as he took a bite of his food. Midoriya leaned in by him, dropping his voice and said, "You saw that too, right?" Todoroki nodded. Midoriya gave him a look of disbelief before he was smiling and shaking his head. "How could I miss it?"
Todoroki shrugged, "People never believe me."

Hitoshi Shinsou
Training with Aizawa became critical in Shinsou's path as a hero. Especially with perfecting his own binding cloth. He needed all the help he could get. If it wasn't for meeting Aizawa before the start of the school year, he never would have made it this far. Aizawa had given him all the tricks that he needed to at least be successful for the mean time. Now, he just had to keep going with his teachings.
They worked together a lot. Which meant that Shinsou spent a lot of time with Aizawa. Ever since that talk with his classmates, and Todoroki's theory about Aizawa, he had been noticing the small things. It was like Todoroki had opened his eyes to details he hadn't noticed before.
He had initially been doubtful of Todoroki's claims since out of the entirety of the class, Shinsou spent the most time with Aizawa. Aizawa had never given the indication that he had some sort of romantic relationship with well anyone. Male, female, everything in between. He always was so focused on training. He would open up about himself, but it always had something to do with Heroics rather than personal lives.
That was, until one training session, they were interrupted by Mic appearing through the woods. Shinsou had found himself tied up in his own binding cloth again when he heard Mic approach. Mic was carrying a small basket, grinning from ear to ear as he announced, "I brought you hard workers some food!"
Aizawa walked forward, helping to release Shinsou from his entrapment as he motioned over to Mic. Shinsou could only blanch. Jaw dropping as he realized that Aizawa had actually stopped their training session so they could stop for some food. Normally, the both of them just went to eat something afterwards. Usually, Shinsou went to have lunch with his friends and Aizawa went off towards the teachers.
Shinsou dusted himself off as he accepted the sandwich from Mic, a bag of chips, and a drink before he was settling back down. His eyebrow shot up as he realized just how close Mic and Aizawa were sitting together. Neither of them said anything about it as Aizawa did in fact go in to eat on the food that Mic had brought.
Mic had asked him about his training, and Shinsou had answered truthfully. Telling him about the struggles he was having.
Mic laughed for a moment, "Yeah, Shou had a lot of trouble too. You'll get the hang of it, listener!" Mic exclaimed. It wasn't the nickname or confirmation of Aizawa in fact having his own struggles with learning how to use his, but it was that Mic turned around and tapped Aizawa's nose. Aizawa crinkled his nose, swatting at Mic's hand but didn't even say a word.
Now, that was just weird.
Shinsou went on to add, making sure to give his English teacher a reply with, "I call it Eraserhead style. I strive to be better than Aizawa-sensei one day." They continued on for a bit, Mic giving a few stories of Aizawa's training when he was younger in U.A. that had Shinsou laughing just from Aizawa's annoyed reactions and mumbles.
Mic gave him a fond smile. "Have you decided on a hero name yet? Shou said you've been having trouble finding one and have just been using your name like Iida and Todoroki."
Shinsou sighed. He needed the perfect hero name. He didn't have any idea what he actually wanted. It still blew his mind that he was even in the Hero Course to begin with. He let the soft smile come to his face, "I'm not sure. I thought maybe Mindjack. Midoriya says that one's good."
Mic chuckled, shaking his head as he finished his bite of his sandwich. "You're doing better than this one in that department already. He didn't even pick his own hero name." Mic stated, ushering towards Aizawa.
Shinsou blinked, "What?"
Aizawa shrugged, "I hate the media and didn't care what it was."
"Who picked it?" Shinsou questioned.
Mic beamed, tilting his head, "I did."
Shinsou's mind was blown.
Aizawa smirked for a second, shrugging, "It's not the worst." There was sarcasm laced in the tone of his voice. Shinsou could only sit there in disbelief as he watched the two suddenly start an exchange of words – not necessarily bickering, but definitely teasing – after Mic threw out that the name was perfect for Aizawa.
Just watching it made Shinsou think back to Todoroki's words. How he proclaimed if Aizawa was in love with someone, it was Mic.
Honestly, Shinsou was starting to believe it.

Fumikage Tokoyami
Nighttime wasn't the easiest time for Tokoyami thanks to Dark Shadow. His quirk constantly deciding to act up in the middle of the night and wake him up. It had gotten better since he started his training within the walls of U.A. and the help of his teachers.
Aizawa had definitely been a lot of help for him. Aizawa's sleep schedule was sporadic at most. A lot of the times, the two of them would sit together in the middle of the night until Tokoyami could get Dark Shadow to calm themselves enough that he could return back to bed. There were a few times that Tokoyami had accidentally fallen asleep next to his teacher and woke up with Aizawa's jacket or a blanket thrown over him or he was back in his room all together.
Neither of them ever said anything about it, but Tokoyami was thankful for the patience that Aizawa showed with him, and he showed a lot.
Once again, it was one of those nights.
Tokoyami had made his way down to the common rooms. He had paused from seeing Todoroki curled up in one of the chairs. The dual quirk user was mindlessly scrolling on his phone until he looked up, noticing that Tokoyami entered the room. Todoroki had brought a finger up to his lips, causing Tokoyami to stop moving for a second before he was pointing at one of the couches. The one that Tokoyami couldn't see over until he had walked up.
He felt his feathers ruffle in shock as he looked down, seeing that Aizawa and Mic were out cold with a blanket thrown over them. It was the one kept in the common room, but Tokoyami's best guess was probably Todoroki who put it there. It wasn't like their teachers to fall asleep in their common spaces. Sure, Aizawa has taken quick cat naps on some Fridays in there, but nothing where he would grab a blanket.
Aizawa was tucked into Mic's side, like he had fallen into him. His head resting on Mic's shoulder. The blonde Hero's arm was cast over the pillows of the couch, head lulled over on top of Aizawa's.
Tokoyami did a double take between Todoroki and his teachers to make sure that he was in fact seeing this. "What is…" Todoroki quietly shushed him, slipping off of the chair as waving his hand towards the kitchen area. As soon as they got over there, Tokoyami finished what he was saying, "It's rather odd that they are asleep right there." He sighed, looking to Todoroki again, "What are you doing up at this hour?"
Todoroki shrugged. "Couldn't sleep." He stated, "Mic-sensei was helping me with my English homework when Aizawa-sensei got back. Aizawa kind of fell asleep not long after and when I was done, I went to my room… came back about an hour ago and they were just both asleep."
Tokoyami hummed and nodded. "I see."
The two had fallen into silence for a few moments as they heard a whimper come from the common room. Tokoyami and Todoroki looked at each other, eyes wide before Todoroki was moving around the corner, concealing himself there before motioning to Tokoyami to do the same. He wasn't sure why he did it, but he complied and peeked around.
Watching as Mic started to stir, looking down and muttering out, "Shou… you're having a nightmare." Tokoyami felt the air catch in his throat. Aizawa had told him of the times that nightmares would plague his nights. Leading to even more restless nights. He just never actually seen him have one. Mic was moving to stand up now, trying to stir Aizawa out of his sleep. The blonde sighed as his attempts failed. Instead, he reached out for him.
Tokoyami could only hold his breath as Aizawa lashed out, grabbing at Mic's hands as he stared at the blonde with wide, distant eyes. "Should we help them?" Tokoyami questioned, keeping his voice low enough that only Todoroki would hear him.
Todoroki shook his head, "Mic-sensei can handle this. We will just get in the way."
Tokoyami looked back at the two pro heroes, watching as Mic held a fond smile on his face, reaching out with one hand and covering Aizawa's eyes. Aizawa had gone tense immediately, looking prepared to go into fight or flight, and it was definitely going to be fight.
Only, Mic started to softly sing.
Tokoyami recognized the song. It was the same one that Mic played over his radio show, saying it was about his special someone. Tokoyami gaped, peering to Todoroki as the other teen just shrugged, a smirk on his face. "Told you that Mic-sensei had this handled."
Mic was still singingly softly as Aizawa untensed, hand dropping, and his breathing evened out again. Tokoyami felt wrong for even watching this. It looked so domestic and intimate. Mic had scooped up Aizawa, dropping his hand from the Erasure Hero's eyes as he did so, revealing to the two teenagers that Aizawa's eyes had closed again. With one arm balancing his back and head and the other underneath his knees, Mic started for the door, carefully opening it and sneaking out without another sound.
The two stood there, Tokoyami more stunned than Todoroki was, as the door clicked closed as Tokoyami now understood. Todoroki knew what was going to happen. His theory about Aizawa and Mic was becoming clearer by the second after what he had just witnessed. That wasn't just a common thing done among friends, that was something that lovers would do. Someone who had intimate knowledge of how someone was in their sleep.
"Lovers in the dark." Tokoyami found himself whispering.
"I told you so." Todoroki deadpanned.
"That you did." Tokoyami whispered, letting the smile slip onto his face as he leaned back up, crossing his arms, "Your mind scares me."
"I'm enjoying this." Todoroki stated, snickering as he wondered back into the common room, reaching for the fallen blanket and folding it up before settling back in the chair. Tokoyami chuckled, walking forward, and taking a seat on the couch that had been previously occupied.
Despite the situation, it felt oddly nice to see another side to their teacher. The vulnerable side that he never showed. That there was more to him than just the scary demeanor that he put out with them in class. It gave Tokoyami even more respect for his teacher. Now, he knew for a fact that Aizawa had someone who could help him when he needed it. Just like Aizawa did for all of them.

Tenya Iida
It wasn't uncommon for Aizawa to fall asleep just about anywhere. At this point, Iida was sure it was a talent. Though, he gave all his respect to his teacher. Aizawa held not only the responsibilities of being Class 1-A's Homeroom Teacher but also a still active Pro Hero who operated at night on top of being a foster father to Eri. It was a lot for any person to handle and balance a healthy life.
He worried for Aizawa because of it. He knew that he did not have a healthy sleep schedule at all. He was positive that Aizawa never got a solid amount of sleep in at any given time. Instead, he compensated with naps. Honestly, at this point, Aizawa was more than just superhuman to him. He was able to operate with very little sleep and still be completely punctual and available to everyone.
They all knew, and all were very quiet whenever Aizawa would fall asleep within the classroom. It never failed that he woke up on time, not even needing an alarm. Just like he woke up on habit with an internal clock. Many of the teachers, if they were pulled into the Heroics class for whatever reason, were very accommodating to Aizawa as well. Normally, Aizawa left the room, but if it was for something regarding Heroics, he was in the room. Even if he napped. It wasn't like Aizawa would wake up to their voices getting louder, it only seemed like he woke up if someone needed reprimanding or it got too loud. Aizawa was even able to sleep right through Bakugou's shouts. It was a talent; Iida was sure of that.
Though, there was a major difference he saw when it came to Present Mic. Whenever Mic would start to get too hyped up and Aizawa stirred, he would immediately take note and calm down. Quieting down within an instant and dropping his voice.
It was like a pattern. Even if they were just in the dorms, it would be the same thing. This time, they were in the dorms, and Aizawa had fallen asleep in one of the chairs as Eri enjoyed her time with them. Mic was also there, conversing and helping any of them that needed it. It was getting loud in the common room, despite Iida telling them they needed to quiet down a bit. Through their enjoyment, it didn't seem like anyone was listening to him.
Mic, who was talking with Todoroki and Midoriya, had suddenly stopped, looking over his shoulder at the stirring Aizawa. Iida only watched on in shock as Mic reached up, pulling a pair of headphones that he normally wore with his street clothes from around his neck. He walked over, kneeling down and very carefully placed them over Aizawa's ears. Aizawa had stopped stirring, curling back into the chair as the peacefulness came back to his face.
Mic grinned as he turned to look back at the students, "Noise cancelation headphones, it would take even more than just my quirk to stir him now." He flashed a grin, getting back to his full height as the conversation started back up.
Iida blinked as he stared at the headphones. Mic hadn't even seen Aizawa stir, his back had been to him. The second he started to stir, Mic had turned and done this action. It was so nice. Accommodating. To make sure that they could have their fun while also not disturbing their slumbering teacher.
How did Mic know that Aizawa was so close to waking up without so much as seeing it happen?
Iida hummed as he tried to put the puzzle pieces together. The other teachers didn't do anything like this. Though, they didn't have specialized headphones like Mic did. They especially never noticed if Aizawa was starting to wake up until he was already back to his feet and standing beside them.
Iida practically jumped his thoughts were cut through by, "Believe me now, Iida?" Iida looked down, seeing the amused look in Todoroki's eyes as he motioned to Aizawa and Mic. Mic was still standing by Aizawa, but he was speaking to Jirou, Kaminari, and Shinsou now. Iida could only blink in shock as he saw Mic's hand move to rub soothing circles in the top of Aizawa's head without so much as turning or looking back at him. Aizawa had moved into it, bringing a smile to Mic's face.
How was no one else seeing this?
If he was honest, yeah, he might be believing Todoroki now.
"Possibly…"

Yuga Aoyama
If there was one thing that Yuga Aoyama enjoyed, it was fashion. He wouldn't say that he was too nitpicky, but he loved seeing the fashion that others wore. He also had a keen eye to the fashion sense of the people around him.
The person that he believed lacked fashion sense the most was Shouta Aizawa.
The man wore nothing but black ninety-nine percent of the time.
There was no fashion sense in that man. Aoyama was positive about that.
So, when he was walking about the dorms late one night after finishing up a study session with the others, he had been shocked to say the least when he had seen Aizawa. Aizawa was in street clothes, which wasn't necessarily all that common. Aizawa only typically changed when he was back in the confines of his own room and was immediately back in his hero gear before anyone typically saw him. It was such a rare sight.
Maybe, that's what threw him off when he saw the red leather jacket over Aizawa's shoulders. Aizawa wasn't alone, but was also with Present Mic, who was wearing just a short-sleeved shirt, hands deep in his pockets. The two were talking, but Aoyama couldn't hear what they were saying.
Aoyama was pretty sure he had never been this stunned in his life. Not even watching All Might's retirement happen. The battle at Kamino Ward. He wasn't sure why this surprised him out of all things.
He wasn't sure if he was stunned because Aizawa was wearing a color aside from black or leather. This was all new to him.
Aoyama didn't know what to do except to dunk behind a tree, peeking out as he kneeled down, letting his gaze settle back on his teachers. He knew that jacket. He couldn't place where he had seen it before, but he knew he recognized it.
And it definitely didn't belong to Aizawa.
Aoyama wanted to move, just continue along and head to Heights Alliance, but he couldn't tear his gaze away. Especially as he watched Aizawa smile and a laugh that followed a second later. He had never heard him laugh before, not one that wasn't sarcastic. This was a genuine laugh. He could hear it from where he was.
The blonde student let the grin come to his face as it clicked in his mind. Like a light blub at lit up. He knew why he recognized the jacket, because he had seen it when Mic had given Aizawa eyedrops. How relaxed Aizawa looked and how he was smiling freely.
Todoroki was right, and he knew that if Todoroki was here, he would surely be saying it.
Aoyama smiled, waiting for the second for the two teachers to pass before he was sneaking out of his little hiding spot and heading off towards Heights Alliance with a slight bounce in his step.

Mezo Shoji
Todoroki was adamant that Mic was protective of Aizawa. Shoji had been thinking about it, rather he liked to admit it or not. He had been the one who had been holding onto a broken and battered Aizawa at the USJ. Using his Dupli-Arms to help stabilize some of his injuries as well as protect him.
He had also seen the dark look that came onto Mic's face the second he laid eyes on Aizawa for the first time in the USJ and how silent he got. He wasn't sure how Todoroki even knew about that since he was away from them when it happened.
He had assumed it was because of some sort of friendship between the two heroes, but now, he was starting to understand a bit more.
They were out and about again, which Aizawa had taken to making sure they could do once to twice a month. Present Mic was with them again, and this time they had ran into another Pro Hero. It wasn't someone who Shoji recognized. Midoriya seemed to recognize him.
That was until he heard, "Ah, Aizawa!" The mystery Pro Hero stated, "Since when did you care enough about anything to become a teacher? I saw you on the news broadcast at Kamino. Blew my mind."
Shoji didn't miss the way that Aizawa tensed up, and the look that came to Mic's face. They knew this guy. Aizawa rolled his eyes, looking in a different direction, "What do you want, Sensoji?"
Sensoji? They did know each other.
Mic's fist had balled up as he growled out, "We were just taking our leave."
They did that, moving around the hero and moving on. That was until they heard, "You actually made some use to that useless quirk of yours! You should be proud, Aizawa!" Shoji could hear the air catch in Aizawa's throat, and the mood that quickly dropped among the class as his classmates had almost immediately started to react to what Sensoji had said.
Though, the biggest reaction didn't come from them, it came from Mic. Shoji could feel a chill go down his spine from the anger that he could feel radiating off of the Voice Hero. Mic had started moving forward, seething with balled fists. Aizawa had snapped out of his stupor, grabbing ahold of Mic's arm. Mic stopped, not looking at him as he hissed out, "Don't forget, he saved all of our asses. He's saved all these kids. He's more a hero than you will ever be. You just know his quirk is better than yours, and you don't want to admit it because of your ego. You ever say something like that in my presence again—"
"Mic!" Aizawa snapped, "The media will drag you through the mud. Let it go. It's nothing that I'm not used too."
Mic huffed, exhaling sharply through his nose as he shook his head and turned around. "You're lucky."
Aizawa had corralled all of them, ushering them on before anyone else could say anything. Leaving the other hero behind. Shoji's eyes were wide. It wasn't the same level of anger, but it was the fact it was happening again. The same feeling that he got.
He shook his head, a smile forming underneath his mask as he could hear Aizawa reprimanding Mic for almost starting a fist fight in the middle of a town. Mic was smiling at him, giving a soft, "It doesn't matter. I'll always stand up for you."
Todoroki was chuckling, bouncing on his feet as he walked up next to Shoji. He wasn't alone. Bakugou, Midoriya, and Shinsou with him. "You believe me now?"
All Shoji could do was nod.

Kouji Koda
Koda had always been a very quiet child. His self-confidence was so low that he didn't like to speak, despite the fact worked by his voice. Being in U.A. had definitely helped his self-confidence, but there were still times that he slipped back into other habits.
When he was younger, and barely speaking, his parents had put him into JSL classes. If he was too shy to speak at the time, he would instead communicate with his family and others by using sign language. It was just something that made him comfortable, but also being able to continue to communicate with others.
As he had gotten into U.A., it didn't surprise him to know that some of the teachers knew JSL. It made him happy even. One of the first teachers that he found out who knew the language was Present Mic. Mic had been very open about knowing it since his quirk could affect his ears if he wasn't careful. Even at times having to use hearing aids if he had overdone it. Mic had continued to help him with his JSL learning as he was still getting stuck a few things. It had really helped a lot. Mic had been helpful in a lot of ways.
His biggest supporter had came in the form of Aizawa.
Ever since Todoroki had mentioned that he believed Aizawa was in love with Mic, Koda wasn't sure if he wanted to believe it at first.
Until he did.
It had been a day that he was working with Mic on some of his JSL in a little session in the common rooms of Heights Alliance. Aizawa had walked up to them with Eri hanging on his pant leg before she had taken off towards Midoriya like usual.
He could only blink as Aizawa addressed him in JSL. He didn't know that Aizawa knew it but had always been supportive of Koda learning more of it and even making sure to give him some time with Mic to continue learning since he couldn't go to his old class anymore.
A smile came to his face as Aizawa excused himself, walking off towards Eri as she called out for him. As Aizawa had walked away, Koda had turned his attention back to Mic, pausing as he noticed the very fond look that Mic had on his face. Just like they normally did, Koda decided to have the conversation in sign, signing out, "I didn't know sensei knew this."
Mic laughed for a moment, his fond smile remaining as he signed back, "Not many people know this, but he actually was the one who told me to learn." Koda was shocked. He didn't think it would have been Aizawa to place the idea of learning sign language into Mic's head. Giving him the idea of doing it.
"Really?"
Mic nodded, picking back up with, "I had a lot of trouble with my quirk in high school. Sometimes still do. He told me it would be a good thing to learn even without my quirk, and now if my ears bother me, we just speak like this to each other. He was worried we could lose the ability to communicate."
Through his surprise, Koda looked over his shoulder, seeing that Aizawa was looking back at Mic. His nose hidden in scarf. It wasn't the fact that they were looking at each other, it was what Aizawa was signing to Mic. Koda wasn't quite sure what he was saying, but he could put the pieces together. His eyes went wide as he looked back at Mic to see Mic had done it back in that moment.
That's all it took for him to wholeheartedly believe every word Todoroki said that day.

Tsuyu Asui
It was absolutely not a secret that Present Mic was afraid of bugs. Though, they had only learned it during the exams where they had faced off against the teachers. Asui could still remember how panicked and grossed out that Mic had looked and how Aizawa comforted him. Even if he had an amused smile on his face.
She could still remember Mic saying, "You did that on purpose!"
Aizawa had shrugged, "They had to have a way to beat you. It was fair."
"It so was not!"
She remembered she had been amused by it.
Though, when they were in a small classroom and a bug suddenly decides to pay a visit, that was a different story. Mic had been walking around, when he had halted in his movements, freezing completely as he looked down at his pant leg petrified.
Then the scream came next.
She was positive that the classrooms were Mic proof since the glass did not break. Each one of them had immediately clamped their hands over their ears. The intense ringing and vertigo that was starting to follow. There was nothing that they could do to try stop him, except try and talk him out of it.
He couldn't hear them. Which was the major downside.
She had barely caught Shinsou shouting, "Someone needs to get Aizawa-sensei!"
Iida had tried, even though he had failed and collapsed to one knee in the front of the class. Hands still clapped over their ears. Whatever prayers that they had, had been answered when the door suddenly opened, and Mic's voice had cut off in an instant.
Asui was sick to her stomach as she looked up. She could hear her classmates sighing in relief. Catching Bakugou mostly exclaiming, "You seriously let a bug do that to you?!"
Aizawa had sent a warning look at them all, causing them to quiet down. Mic was still in a panic, trying to locate the bug that had crawled on him. Asui had to give him credit, at least he didn't faint this time like he did in the practical exam.
"Get it off! Get it off!" Mic kept repeating, still swatting his hands.
"Mic! It's alright!" Aizawa stated, raising his voice slightly to get Mic to calm down. It had worked as Aizawa kneeled down, making a small noise as he pulled the offending little guy off of Mic's pant leg. It was so small, but with Mic's phobia, Asui could understand. She had barely caught the mumble of, "Always having to save you from all the bugs."
"I can't help it." Mic whined. Aizawa smirked as Mic squealed, jumping on top of Tokoyami's desk as Aizawa came close with the bug. Tokoyami's feathers ruffled as he made a shocked noise and leaned back in his chair as Mic continued to panic on the table. "Get rid of it!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, the villain bug will be gone." Aizawa stated as he started for the door, a smirk returned to his face as he turned to address the class, "Koda, could you make sure none of this little guy's friends are still around."
Koda nodded, and after a moment, replied with, "Mic-sensei scared them away."
Aizawa didn't move but his gaze had moved to Mic, "See. All done."
Mic gave a sigh of relief, but he was still looking around on the floor as he crawled off of Tokoyami's desk.
Asui could feel the light blub lit up. That banter that they had wasn't just Aizawa making fun of Mic. It was done almost fondly. Trying to calm him while also making light of the situation. A smile came to her face as she turned to look at Todoroki, seeing the pleased look on his face despite his hands still on his ears. She gave him a smile and a nod to which Todoroki returned it.
Who knew Todoroki's little theory actually had some merit to it?

Ochako Uraraka
With the way that Aizawa often took care of himself, it was a wonder that this didn't happen sooner. They were in the TCL, continuing to work on their ultimate moves and continue to refine them. Aizawa had been looking paler than usual for his usual worn out appearance.
As he was addressing them at the end of class, Mic had joined them, coming into the room without any of an issue. He didn't say a word as Aizawa was carrying on with his words. Uraraka had frowned, watching as Aizawa had a slight sway to him, how his words seemed to start to slur and mix together.
It had happened in almost a blink.
Aizawa's eyes had slipped shut and he had started to free fall towards the cement ground. The panic had spread through them as a lot of them had moved forward to catch their teacher. It was the first time Mic had said something, giving a shout of Aizawa's name as he reached out, arms looping around Aizawa's torso and keeping his head from making contact with the floor.
Uraraka knew she was in panic mode. The worry going through her as she rushed forward, "Aizawa-sensei! What happened?!"
"He was looking a bit… off earlier." Yaoyorozu whispered.
The concern had been moving through the class. None of them liked seeing Aizawa like this. It only kept cementing in the idea that he wasn't taking that much care of himself.
Mic looked like he knew what was going on, which had Uraraka stopping. Her eyes settled on the concerned but knowing look that was on Mic's face. It was so subtle, but Mic's fingers had grazed over Aizawa's hair, moving some of it out of his face as he sighed, "His blood sugar must have dropped." Mic stated, sighing as he looked up at them with a smile. Like he was trying to comfort them. "He'll be okay. I'll take him to Recovery Girl just to make sure, but she's been on him about his eating habits a lot recently. He has a tendency to forget to actually eat proper meals since he has his jelly packets."
Mic had announced that they should change out of their costumes and head back to the classroom, where Midnight would be waiting for them. Leaving Iida in charge of them while he took Aizawa to Recovery Girl.
Bakugou had scoffed, crossing his arms as he said, "The idiot is going to do that at the wrong time at this rate."
"Kaachan!" Midoriya gasped, "Be respectful!"
"He's not wrong." Mic whispered, standing up and adjusting Aizawa in his arms. "It's why Recovery Girl has been on him about it."
Uraraka choked down the lump in her throat, hesitantly stepping forward while she whispered, "Would you like some help with my quirk? The nurse's office is a bit away from here."
Mic just gave her a grin and shook his head, "Don't worry about it, young listener. I've carried around our resident sleepy head enough that it's nothing to carry him there."
Uraraka hummed and nodded. She wasn't sure if anyone else could see it, but that look had remained in Mic's eyes. One that she often saw in her parents if something was wrong with one of them. If one of them was sick and the other was caring for them. She gasped as her eyes widened. Standing not far from her left side was Kirishima, Ashido, Kaminari, Sato, Sero, Ojirou, and Hagakure while the rest of the class stood off to the right.
Todoroki was right… only it's not just Aizawa-sensei. She turned to look over at Todoroki, seeing the look that he was given to her. It was like he knew what she was thinking. She nodded to him, turning towards Mic as she said, "Alright."
Mic had the look of pride on his face. "You all really care about him."
"Of course, we do!" Uraraka exclaimed, "He's always there for us! It's the least we can do!"
"Back to class! I'll give you an update or text Midnight unless Recovery Girl's problem child here doesn't actually stay there. He'll be just fine. Don't you kids worry." Mic stated, already starting towards the door. She had seen it again. The soft look in his eye as he started to turn his head. It made her smile get a bit bigger.
She was glad Aizawa had someone to take care of him when he took care of all of them with no complaints.
She moved over towards Todoroki, whispering, "I can't believe I didn't believe you."
Todoroki just shrugged, "Join the club."

Eijirou Kirishima
Kirishima always thought it was manly of people who showed their emotions and weren't afraid to show people those they cared about. Physical contact was one of his ways of showing it. Rather it was a fist bump, a pat on the back, whatever it could be. It felt like a solid form of silent communication.
There was one person he knew that didn't really show either of those, but to him, he was still one of the manliest people he had ever met. Aizawa.
Aizawa always seemed to move away from touch. Especially if people got to close to him. Like he dreaded the idea of someone even coming near him. He didn't really show emotion on his face except for glares, occasionally annoyance or anger, or if he was amused by them, he might actually crack a smile. It was hard to tell with him.
They were having a movie night in the dorms and, of course, they had to invite Eri. They loved making sure that she got to have these types of experiences. Aizawa never said no unless she wasn't feeling well. Which typically didn't happen.
As they were watching the movie, Aizawa was standing off away from them, leaning against the wall by his shoulder as he faced Mic. Mic had joined them not long after the movie started. Quietly sneaking in the door and slipping close to Aizawa. The movie was turned up enough that he couldn't hear. His fingers were mindlessly moving through Ashido's hair as he watched the two. Next to him was Todoroki as Bakugou leaned on the couch, with Todoroki's legs on either side of him. Though, he wasn't paying attention to any of them or the movie now.
His eyes were glued to what Mic was doing.
Mic had reached out, placing his hand on Aizawa's shoulder. The one that was concealed by the wall. Kirishima was ready to watch Mic get suspended in the air by Aizawa's capture weapon or Aizawa to pull away from it.
But it surprised him when he didn't.
Instead, he had leaned into it. Placing his cheek against the back of Mic's hand as he let his eyes flutter shut.
Kirishima felt the smirk come to his face. Damn, our teacher really is manly. Look at that. Then his thought stopped as Aizawa leaned forward a little bit, letting his forehead settle against Mic's chest. He felt the flare come to his face. Ashido has done that to him.
Oh.
OH.
The realization dawned on him as he muttered out, "I'm never doubting you again, bro." He whispered to Todoroki. Todoroki turned to look at him, looking confused for a second before he was following Kirishima's gaze and noticing where he was looking.
A noise of confirmation came from him as he shrugged, "I will take you all down with me on this ship."
Kirishima snorted, shaking his head as he turned his attention back to the movie. That looked like an intimate moment between his teachers. Even though as soon as it happened, it was over, he still wanted to give them the security that they weren't being watched.
Either way, the thought of how manly his teachers were came to mind. He was proud to be their student. He was happy that they were happy. Even more so for Aizawa. That man deserved all the happiness in the world after everything he had been through and what he did for all of them.

Mashirao Ojirou
It wasn't often that Aizawa showed a lot of emotion, but apparently this was one thing that got him heated. Ojirou never thought he would see Aizawa look so angry before. As they were walking to lunch, Aizawa was lingering ahead of them, appearing like he was looking down at his phone.
Ojirou help the sweat drop on his forehead as he picked up on the conversation that he knew that Aizawa was listening in on. Aizawa was extremely good at looking like he wasn't paying attention, but he absolutely was.
Ojirou was even ready to jump in on the students who were having the conversation, because of the topic. "I still can't believe they let that loudmouth, annoying, Present Mic be a teacher." One scoffed. Ojirou wasn't sure what department they belonged to, but it definitely wasn't the Hero Department. Heroes didn't speak like that.
With each word they said, he could see the vein popping out in Aizawa's forehead.
"How can a hero be so loud like that?!" Another said.
"He'll make us all go deaf with that voice of his! Don't get me started on his personality! It's like irritating and bad music was thrown in!"
A few of his classmates were already starting forward, their own anger on their faces. Ojirou was getting angry. Ojirou had a lot of respect for Mic. He deserved it. How could he sit back and listen to this?
He decided to step forward, deciding to attempt to deescalate if he could. Though, Aizawa beat him to it as he shoved his phone in his pocket, quirk activated on the three students and a glare on his face. His lips turned into a harsh frown.
"Don't you dare speak about one of your teachers like that." Aizawa hissed, "Present Mic uses that same voice to save lives. He protected thousands with it. He uses that same voice and that same personality to bring smiles and comfort to others when they are in need." Ojirou could only stand there stunned as the three students that Aizawa had been addressing. Well, it was more of giving a verbal lashing to. Aizawa looked pissed. Ojirou definitely wasn't going to get involved in that.
He did notice that everyone who was still lingering in the halls and were looking in their direction was muttering about how Aizawa was right. How disgusted they were that U.A. Students would disrespect their teacher.
"You can say absolutely anything about me, but don't give it onto someone who is undeserving of it." Aizawa hissed. "That voice that is so annoying and loud, he can't help that his voice is loud. It is his quirk. It's what he uses within his hero work and to bring joy to others. If you don't like it, that is completely on you. He puts his life on the line every single day to keep all of you safe. When he doesn't have to. He does it because it's what he wanted to do. If you think that lowly of a teacher who works three jobs and still can smile and find time to be so energetic so insulting, you can find another school to go to. That will solve your problem."
As Aizawa finished, Ojirou had peeked over his shoulder to see the amused Mic standing there. Mic walked over, a smile playing on his face, "It's alright, Eraser. Let's go get some lunch." Mic didn't let him get another word in as he grabbed ahold of Aizawa's wrist and pulling him towards the cafeteria. Aizawa had turned slightly, narrowing his eyes on the three students as they squeaked and ran off into the opposite direction.
Ojirou could only let out a shocked sound as he stood there, trying to wrap his mind around what he had just witnessed. He had never seen Aizawa act like that before. It was like he was defending Mic's honor or something. Even when he would let insults be thrown at him without so much as a glare or a word. Just letting it fly over his head. This felt so much different.
Maybe…
He jumped as Todoroki practically appeared next to him. Speaking of the person he was just about to think about. Todoroki had a smug look on his face as he was watching the three going by. "They picked the wrong person to say that by."
"Yeah… they did." Ojirou whispered.
A smile cracked onto his face. Someone only reacted like that if they truly cared for someone.
"Todoroki, you terrify me."
Todoroki shrugged. "I've heard that before."

Rikido Sato
It wasn't strange for someone to come to him and ask him to bake sweets or even to get a recipe, but it felt different when it was Mic who had approached him while Aizawa was out on a nightly patrol.
Mic leaned down against the counter, smiling at him with a sheepish grin.
Sato blinked at him, muttering, "What can I help you with, Mic-sensei?"
"I need your help with something." Mic replied. Sato nodded as Mic rattled off what he was wanting to do. It was very simple, but it had surprised him more that Mic was asking about it. It was answered without him even asking as he muttered out, "I just don't know how to make it. So, thank you, Sato."
"No… problem." He whispered, blinking as Mic slipped the recipe into his back pocket. He stuck around for a bit longer but was practically bouncing on his feet as he left the dorms and headed out.
The next morning, as they were entering class, Sato had caught the sight of the small dessert sitting on Aizawa's podium. Sato felt the grin pull on his face. It was the same dessert that Mic had asked about the night before, and to his credit, it looked good. Now, it was if it tasted good or not.
Then it hit him all at once.
Mic had asked about that dessert, not for himself but for Aizawa.
Sato muttered in disbelief to himself. More to the idea that Aizawa actually ate more than just jelly packets, but also Mic going out of his way to make him a dessert. Still, he felt a bit of delight knowing that he was able to help his teacher with such a task. Even if it was just a dessert.
Todoroki was giving him a knowing smile as Sato moved towards his desk, slipping into his chair, and placing his bag down. "You were right." Sato muttered, pulling out his stuff and preparing for the day.
Sato had waited patiently for his teacher to come in, ignoring the ongoing conversations that were happening around him. He had just been focusing more on getting his stuff out and seeing the treat that was waiting for their teacher.
Sure enough, it didn't take long before Aizawa had came into the room. The silence that quickly followed. Aizawa gave his usual Good Morning to them as he walked over to his podium, stopping as he noticed the dessert sitting there. He blinked for a second before a fond look came to his eyes. That was all Sato needed for all the confirmation that his classmate was right.

Hanta Sero
Sero always took everything that Todoroki said with a bit of hesitance. While, he wanted to believe his classmate, there were times that he could absolutely say the most outlandish things. Sometimes it was even hard to tell if he was either being serious or if he was joking. He could say something with a straight face, and no one would ever realize he was just playing around.
It was hard to tell if Sero was being honest.
He had to be even more honest, he didn't really believe Todoroki at the thought at Aizawa had been or is in love with anyone. Aizawa didn't seem like the type of person who took the time to actually look around for a romantic partner. Maybe call him ignorant for it, but Aizawa just didn't seem like the person who did. It almost felt wrong to think that about his teacher, but what was he really supposed to believe? He wasn't sure.
That was until he had seen it for himself.
If Sero had to say anything about Aizawa, he was pretty close to Midoriya in instances where he has been injured. Maybe, not as often as Midoriya used to get hurt but they seemed practically on the same level with injuries since the start of the year. There was always something. Even if it was small.
They were out on the practice field, doing another round of Quirk Assessment exercises and dressed out in their gym clothes instead of hero costumes. He wanted to say that they got a lot better since the beginning of the year. The one person who had showed massive improvement so far was Midoriya. A lot of them were still barely getting scores over the last time that they had done this.
Still, Aizawa seemed proud of them to say the least. At least, it seemed that way. It was a thing that he noticed with Todoroki too. The two of them barely showed emotion. It was scary sometimes. There were a lot of times that he could see the two sides of every coin reflecting in Aizawa.
In this case, it almost felt like a fluke that this happened.
Aizawa had just been walking forward, when suddenly he had just hit the ground. Just into a heap in the dirt. None of them could say anything, just staring at where their teacher had planted himself against the ground.
"Aizawa-sensei… are you alright?" Midoriya questioned.
It almost felt comical that Midoriya of all people was asking Aizawa that.
Sero moved forward, the concern flooding through him as Aizawa didn't immediately push himself up. He could hear Aizawa slightly grumbling, rolling over and sitting up. The dirt dusting over the entirety of the front of his costume. Sero was able to see what Aizawa had hit, realizing that it was a small hole in the ground that had been created by Iida earlier.
Aizawa's capture weapon had fallen off of his shoulders a bit, showing off the pained frown that was on his face as he moved his legs in an attempt to stand. The Erasure Hero was still grumbling away, and he managed to pick up bits and pieces of what he was saying. Cursing more of the fact that he had tripped over such a small hole.
"Sensei?" Iida questioned, moving forward, and kneeling down by their teacher. "Do you need some help?"
Aizawa shook his head, starting to get back to his feet. He could see the look on Aizawa's face that told him everything he needed to know. Aizawa had either sprained his ankle just now or just twisted it enough that it hurt to put weight on. To the Erasure Hero's credit, he was able to get to his feet, but it was obvious that he was now favoring his right foot over his left. Sero winced. He knew that Aizawa had an insanely high pain tolerance, but he would guess that came with an adrenaline rush. This time, it was just a mishap.
"Alright, we're heading back inside. Go get dressed back into your school uniforms." Aizawa stated. As they did try to ask him again if he would like assistance, he gave them all a warning glance. "Iida, you will be charge until I return. I won't be long."
Sero had walked in the back as the others moved towards the locker rooms, peering over his shoulder to see that Aizawa hadn't moved from where he was standing. The worry remained as he watched his teacher. Aizawa had his phone out, looking down at it as he appeared to be typing away on it.
Without so much as a word, Sero went into the locker room and had been quick to change into back into his regular school clothes. He didn't like seeing when Aizawa got hurt. As they all made it back to the classroom, the movement out of the corner of his eye had caught his attention.
As the others moved back into the classroom, he had paused at the door, peering over as he saw Aizawa there. Leaning against Mic's side with the Voice Hero's arm looped around his waist. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but he could clearly see the concern written all over their English teacher's face.
What shocked him more was the soft, genuine smile on Aizawa's face as he looked to Mic. His mouth moving as he said something to him. Whatever he said seemed to calm Mic down. They were heading to the nurse's office. At least, he believed so from the direction that they were heading.
Sero smiled, turning, and heading into the classroom and to his seat. It wasn't Aizawa's smile that was stuck in his head as he slid into his seat. It was the look in his eyes. It was the look of a man in love.
All it told him now was not to judge a book by its cover. That Aizawa was more than just the rough exterior that he showed most of the time. There was definitely more to him. Though, seeing that look on his teacher's face made him happy. Mic must have been who Aizawa was contacting as they walked away. Mic didn't currently have a class at the moment. If he had been at the Teacher's Lounge. He wouldn't have been that far away and would have been able to get to them quickly.
As Todoroki walked back into the class, the two briefly made eye contact and Sero flashed a smile and a thumbs up.
This was one time that Todoroki was absolutely correct.

Toru Hagakure
There were many upsides to being invisible, but there were also the downsides. The upsides, she was able to get around almost completely undetected. Downside, people didn't realize she was there. There had been a few times that she had walked in on her parents in a not so child friendly moment.
She had started to make her presence known pretty quickly after that. Not wanting to ever fall into something like that again. Though, at the U.A. dorms, she didn't think she would ever have to worry about that.
Though, she didn't think that this fit into that category. Not necessarily, but it was definitely an intimate moment that she was not supposed to see.
She was heading back to the dorms, stopping by the library to get some books before she was going to go to a study session with the others. She had trailed behind all of them when she had heard their voices first. They were a mixture of hushed and joking around.
She was passing by the teacher's dorms, noticing the door that led to Eri's room from the outside where Aizawa and Mic currently were. Both of them pro heroes were in their street clothes, and Aizawa's hair was pulled back behind his head rather than falling into his face like normal.
She had stopped dead in her tracks, practically flinging herself into hiding as she watched Mic's hands move to Aizawa's waist. The Erasure Hero was laughing. His face scrunching up as he leaned into Mic, covering his mouth with his hand.
Hagakure wanted to move. To get out of there. She could easily do it without being seen. Yet, she couldn't look away. This was a completely different side of Aizawa that she had never seen before. He looked so happy. Relaxed. Like there wasn't another care in the world but that moment.
She was so shocked. Unable to say a word or mutter out even a sound as her eyes widened. She should not be watching this. She knew it.
As the laughter of the two teachers quieted down, Aizawa peeked up, pausing as she watched his gaze flicker towards Mic's lips for a second. As Mic started to lean in, Aizawa whispered, "I need to…"
Mic chuckled for a second, leaning back and dropping his hands. "Don't let me stop you."
Aizawa pulled away from Mic, starting for Eri's door. He stopped for a moment, turning back around, and smiling, "I'll see you later."
"See you around." Mic stated, giving a wink as he started back towards his own dorm, a bounce in his step as Aizawa disappeared into Eri's room.
Hagakure was completely speechless. She stayed there for a moment before she was coming out of where she had hidden herself and rushed back towards the dorms. Slipping out of her shoes, putting on her slippers before she went straight for the one room that she was looking for.
She had started banging on the door almost immediately, waiting impatiently for the occupant of the room to come to the door.
Almost as soon as she started, the door flung open, revealing the shocked Todoroki standing there. Without a second passing, she exclaimed, "You were absolutely right, and I have some tea for you!"
Todoroki smirked, side stepping, "I'm all ears."

Mina Ashido
If there was one thing that Ashido absolutely wished she could do was tell Aizawa that he should clean up more. Behind the bruised eyes, the unkept hair, the baggy clothes showed actually a very attractive man. When he took a moment to put something into his appearance, it was like looking at a totally different man.
There wasn't anything really notable about what Aizawa's day in and day out appearance was. Sometimes, she would catch a whiff of his shampoo. It smelt nice. Despite being so unkept, he was always well cleaned. He just didn't seem to care in making sure that his hair was perfect, or his facial hair was the neatest. Whenever it did matter, he did actually put some care and time into it. The only time she had seen him fully cleaned up was Kamino Ward.
So, when she caught a whiff of cologne on him, her brain had practically short circuited. He had been walking by, helping out Kirishima with a question he had when she had caught it. Her jaw had actually dropped. It was a really good smell. It was so faint, but also enough that she was sure it was overflooding Aizawa's nose if she was able to smell it.
She loved perfumes. She had so many of them. She loved making sure she had some on every day. She especially loved when Yaoyorozu would share some of hers. She had really good and expensive ones that lasted on her clothes for days.
She never really took Aizawa to be the kind of guy that would wear cologne or any type of scent. Just the bare minimum in making sure that he was hygienic.
She couldn't even speak as Aizawa looked at her, eyebrow shooting up as he questioned, "Need help with something, Ashido?"
She quickly shook her head, shutting her mouth as she leaned back in her chair. Well, this was something. No one else seemed to be reacting to it if they could also smell it. She didn't have the most sensitive nose, so she had to assume she wasn't the only one who noticed. They just weren't saying anything.
As they continued to work, Aizawa had returned to the front of the room and Ashido took a second to peek up. Letting the giddy feeling come to her seeing that Aizawa had leaned his nose down, his shoulders rising a bit like he was inhaling sharply. He was smelling the cologne, or so she thought he was. It's what it looked like. There was a soft look in Aizawa's eyes. His body losing the tension that had been his in his shoulders.
The rest of the class had gone well enough, nothing else happening for the time. They moved onto their other classes without a hitch. Ashido, however, couldn't think straight. Her mind was stuck on the fact that she had smelt that cologne on Aizawa. She couldn't get it out of her head.
It continued on throughout the week, and by the next week at the start of the week, they were back in English class. Mic had been out of town for a bit over the last week due to some hero work that he was doing that he had been needed for. They didn't know the details, but Ashido was glad to see him back.
He was his loud, joyous self as usual. Going into the lesson like usual with his hyper personality. It was going swimming well until Mic walked by her and she caught the scent coming off of him immediately.
As she continued through the class, Ashido couldn't get that scent out of her head. She knew it. It was familiar to her. She bit on the edge of her pencil as class continued, carding through her brain for where she had smelt it before.
It didn't hit her again until closer to the end of the class as Mic had mentioned Aizawa. A bright smile on his face.
That's when it hit her.
Aizawa from earlier that week flashing before her mind. The scent of the cologne that had been coming off of him. How he looked relaxed when he smelled it. Ashido smiled, "Is that a new cologne, Mic-sensei?"
Mic peered over at her, blinking for a second in confusion before he was grinning, "It's my favorite. I wear it a lot."
Ashido smirked.
She turned in her chair, seeing the way that Todoroki grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. She let out a soft laugh, shaking her head.
She was completely on board with him now.

Denki Kaminari
Kaminari wanted to say that he was able to see things at times without being out right told about them, but this time, he knew he was completely wrong.
It felt like everything around him was being held up to him like a sign above someone's head. They were in class again and he had gotten stuck on a portion of the assignment. With how much time he spent struggling on it, he finally relented and got up and was heading up to the front where Aizawa was sitting at the desk in the room, humming and grading papers.
With his paper in hand, he stopped just a step away from the desk as he heard the tune that Aizawa was humming. He had heard that exact same tune before, though he had heard the actual music and lyrics to it.
It was Mic's original song. The same one that was for his special someone.
Kaminari could only blink. He didn't know if he was more stunned about the fact that Aizawa was awake and grading papers in front of them or that he was awake and humming. Especially to Mic's song. It seemed plausible since Mic and Aizawa were friends, but he didn't even know that Aizawa liked music. Let alone would be humming along to a song.
"What do you need, Kaminari?" Aizawa's question had ripped him completely out of his thoughts as he practically dropped everything in his hands. Scrambling to grab them before they hit the ground.
When he looked back up, Aizawa had an amused look on his face. Kaminari felt like he had short circuited for a moment. Like he had accidentally activated his quirk and had fried his brain temporarily. He snapped himself out of it, holding out his paper as he mumbled out, "I'm stuck on question six, sensei."
Aizawa took the paper from him, motioning for Kaminari to come around the desk. He did just that, looking down at the paper as Aizawa made a noise for a second as he started his normal line of questioning. Trying to lead Kaminari to the answer and answer it for himself without giving away what was actually correct.
As they finished, Kaminari flashed a grin, thanking Aizawa for his help. Before he started to head back to his desk, he had stopped and said, "I didn't know you liked music, sensei?"
Aizawa peeked up, snorting as he shook his head, "When it's a good one." That wasn't much of an answer, but it would work for now.
Though, he didn't miss the way that there was a bit of emotion in Aizawa's eyes. From where he was standing, he was able to see the lingering soft smile on his teacher's face that the others wouldn't be able to see. Kaminari just grinned again and scurried back to his desk until the end of class.
At the end of class, Aizawa had left the room, leaving them to wait for Ectoplasm to come start his class with them. Kaminari had turned, completely gob smacked from what he had witnessed and heard. "He was humming Mic's song."
"Yeah?" Shinsou said, cocking his eyebrow as he leaned back in his chair.
"He was humming. Not just humming but Mic's song." As he said it again, he thought of Aizawa's smile. How fond it looked. Like he was happy about it. Even though Kaminari had questioned him about music. He blinked, shaking his head, "Oh my God, I know I fry my brain but is he really—"
"In love with Mic-sensei?" Todoroki finished, the satisfied smile on his face as he placed his chin on his palm and tilted his head.
"Yes!" Kaminari exclaimed. He paused for a moment as he realized no one looked shocked by what he was saying. Sure, Todoroki said the same thing, but this was something. Like a piece of evidence.
"You all seriously knew?!" He exclaimed, "I know I jam my brain a lot, but not this bad!"
Bakugou grunted, snorting as he got an amused smile on his face, "Honestly, Icyhot was right. It was pretty obvious." He stopped for a second, flashing Kaminari a smirk, "The loud ass cockatoo carries around eyedrops for when sensei loses his."
"Mic-sensei picked out Aizawa-sensei's hero name." Shinsou added.
"And Aizawa-sensei takes care of the bugs." Asui stated.
"They protect each other." Ojirou and Shoji added at the same time.
One by one all the others started adding in reasons that they had also figured it out along the way. Like they were all a sort of light blub that had turned on.
He sat back stunned as he realized that he was the last to figure it out.
It was like there was sign above Todoroki's head that said Knew All Along.
Everyone else was Figured It Out Along the Way.
While Kaminari was left with Last to Know.
"Are you serious?!" Kaminari whined, leaning back, and covering his hands with his face, "I can't believe I didn't believe you, Todoroki!"
Todoroki made a noise, the deadpan look on his face again as he said, "I think it's more than that."
Kaminari's eyebrow shot up, "What?"
All eyes turned to Todoroki again as his face remained practically stoic. "They are dating."
This time, not one of them denied what Todoroki had just said.
"Shouldn't they just be married at this point?" Uraraka questioned.
"Wouldn't they be?" Ashido added.
Todoroki shook his head, "I don't think so. Aizawa-sensei is probably just fine the way they are." He shrugged as he pulled out his notebook for Ectoplasm's class just as the teacher came into the room, leaving the topic looming over their minds.
Not one of them thought Todoroki was wrong this time.

Shouta Aizawa
Shouta had watched his students over the last few months. All of them had been a bit more observant. He had been seeing the looks that he had been receiving from them. It brought a smirk to his face. They all finally figured it out. Though, that was enough for him. He didn't want his relationship status plastered everywhere or being the only thing that they cared about.
At least, they could put some of those observation skills to the test.
Though, he had to admit, he wasn't even hiding it. Neither of them was. It was just how they were.
The only ones that knew for certain were the teachers. He had put in the paperwork five years before that Hizashi was to be the person who was contacted if something happened to him. That Hizashi had all right to make decisions for him if he was unable to. In a medical standpoint, technically, Hizashi didn't hold that, but he did have him as the emergency contact and as a person who could give a recommendation.
He was happy how they were.
Though there were times that he wanted more. Not that he would ever just come out and say it. They were both perfectly content with what they had currently. It worked out well for them, and that's what he liked to have.
He didn't have to have some certified document to tell him who he was in love with.
He knew what he felt and that was good enough for him. At least, it always had been. It was just what they did.
It felt like there was a moment when they had taken the class off of campus, and they had ran into an issue that it felt like everything was falling apart. Him and Mic weren't the only teachers there, they were also with All Might and Endeavor had joined them on this outing since he was one of the many pro heroes who had his students as work study students.
Shouta had felt the hairs on the back of his neck standing and the rumbling underneath the ground that told him of impending danger. He had shouted for his students to get back, grabbing ahold of Eri and pulling her back just as the explosion hit. He could feel the hands that had landed on his shoulders, pushing him back even more and knocking him further out of the way. Taking out many of the cars and the building that was ahead of them. He had curled his own body around Eri, using himself as a human shield as he felt debris hitting his back. Hearing the pieces of concrete and building hitting the ground. Scraping of metal. It was all coming at once. Overloading his senses for a moment as he tried to register what he had just heard.
His heart was racing and the ringing in his ears as he leaned up, surveying his foster daughter for any injuries. He could see the fear in her eyes. He soothed her really quickly despite the pounding in his chest as he looked up and counted around for all the people. Endeavor was standing behind his back, using his fire to make a sort of barrier that had stopped most of what was coming. Many others were already acting, trying to calm down civilians and get them away.
What the hell happened?
He looked around, checking to make sure that his students were uninjured, and all accounted for. All Might was accounted for and so were twenty teenagers.
But that is where it had ended.
It felt like the world had stopped as the realization hit.
Hizashi wasn't there.
"No…" He whispered. Eri was still clinging onto him, keeping him grounded despite the fact that he could feel the fear that was coursing through him.
Mic wasn't here. He couldn't even see him. Endeavor had stopped what he was doing, pieces of burnt debris hitting the ground as he yelled for nearby heroes to act immediately. Some of his own sidekicks were there, already acting.
He looked around at all the panicking civilians. He knew he should act, keep his students back and to safety, but he was frozen. There were pieces of building hitting the ground and his mind had immediately thought back to all those years ago. When they had lost one person in their life in a battle that seemed too much like this.
"Eri, go to Midoriya." Shouta whispered.
Eri looked at him and nodded through her tear-filled eyes. She had rushed away, going to where Iida and All Might were making everyone get back. Shouta couldn't feel a thing. He was numb where he could see the pieces of the broken building.
That had been where Hizashi had been standing.
He had never felt so much fear going through him. It had been so long since he felt like this. He felt like he couldn't breathe as he started moving forward. Each step getting faster until he was sprinting.
"Aizawa-kun!" He could hear All Might yelling from behind him. Yelling for him to wait and that it wasn't safe to advance. Shouta had ignored him. That didn't matter. Hizashi mattered. Hizashi had to be safe. He just had to be. He couldn't lose him too.
"Mic!" He shouted.
Before he could get closer to the fire and danger zone, Endeavor's arm looped around him and hauled him off of his feet. "Eraserhead! Calm yourself!" Endeavor roared.
Aizawa had tried to pry Endeavor off of him, push at his chest to get him to let go. Anything that he could think of, "Endeavor! Let me go!" He turned his attention back to the debris, screaming out, "Hizashi!"
"My sidekicks are looking for him!" Endeavor bellowed. "That area is no longer stable. They can move through the air. Let them do their job, and you do yours!"
Shouta had stopped fighting at that point, all the realization hitting him at once. He didn't want to lose Hizashi. There was so much he still wanted to say and do with him. After he calmed for a moment, Endeavor finally let him go.
He still felt like he couldn't breathe as he looked around. Hizashi was over there somewhere. He wished with everything that he wasn't underneath that rubble. That he hadn't been crushed. He didn't think he could make it through it this time. This wasn't even anything to do with hero work. He was there one second and next he couldn't see him.
He didn't know if he was even going to breathe properly until he saw him again. He reached up almost involuntarily, placing his hand over his mouth as the anxiety set in. His nails digging into his cheek as he continued to look around. Trying to look for any signs that Hizashi was there. That he was okay. He could barely hear Endeavor ordering some of his sidekicks to locate Mic.
Endeavor had sent himself up into the air, using his fire to keep himself balanced as he went into the fray. Shouta couldn't find anything that would allow him to wrap his capture weapon around it and pull himself over. He was just stuck here. He didn't even look away as he heard the fast-approaching footsteps from behind him, All Might saying his name that was laced with worry.
"He's… he's okay, right?" Shouta found himself asking.
"Mic-kun is a Pro Hero. I'm sure that he noticed and got out of the way on time." All Might stated, trying to reassure him but nothing was helping.
It was like he was repeatedly being punched in the gut.
Hizashi has always returned home. Sometimes he had injuries, but this was an explosion. A building that had been blasted apart. He had seen an outcome just like this before and it was not settling any fear that he had.
He wanted to rush forward and attempt to find him, but Endeavor had kept up a fire wall to keep anyone from moving into the disaster zone. He knew it was a trick that Endeavor has used in the past. He was a hero; he should be helping. His students were unharmed. Eri was fine. Mic was the only one of them currently unaccounted for.
All Might had moved away from him a bit to help with the evacuate efforts as people were being placed down beside them and being ushered to where the students were.
It was an absolutely terrible waiting game that he didn't want to be playing. He wanted to see Hizashi and wanted to see him now. With everything in him, he needed him to be okay.
As they waited, Shouta felt like he still couldn't breathe the entire time. His entire body was numb. They had been pushed back more and the other heroes were still working. The police and fire department had shown up, working on the case. Other heroes, like Hawks, had also shown up. Hawks was using his feathers currently to try and track down more of the missing civilians or find any that might be stuck somewhere.
He wasn't even sure how long it had been by this point. The fires were out. People weren't screaming anymore. The most injured people were being taken to the hospital. Others were going through tirage. He had barely heard it, but apparently, it was all a complete accident. A pipeline had exploded in a restaurant.
It was a freak accident.
Still, it didn't make him feel much better.
Hizashi was still missing.
He didn't think that any of the anxiety, fear, concern, any emotion that someone could name would go away until he saw Hizashi again. His students, man was he proud in that moment, were doing everything that they could do to assist Endeavor and the other heroes. Shouta was as well, but his mind was just blank. What was he supposed to do here?
He knew what it meant to be a hero, what the risks were. He never felt more helpless in his life. He felt like Hizashi should have been found by now. The worst-case scenario had came to mind.
He could hear thunder rumbling above him. How the chill came to the air with the humidity. This was almost like a perfect parallel to what he had experienced back in U.A. When he was just a student himself. Before he was a pro hero. Before him and Hizashi got together. When they had both lost Shirakumo. He couldn't go through this again.
Hizashi had to come back.
He had to hold that hope.
Even though every single second he was losing it.
As he continued helping with the evacuation process, he paused as a young woman with dark hair and dark eyes came rushing up. Screaming out as she was stopped by a police officer. Aizawa watched him for a second. She looked so panicked. Completely uninjured but was heading towards it rather than away. It had pulled him completely back to reality, peeking something in him as he listened to her beg about her fiancé.
"I know he was here! My fiancé! His name is Takashi Namikaze!" She exclaimed, the tears streaming down her face. Hands shaking as she clutched onto the officer. "He always comes here and stops for lunch or coffee! Please, just tell me if he's okay! I need to know!"
Shouta was starting to understand why he felt interested in what she had to say. He was also feeling the same thing she was right now. Hizashi was also still unaccounted for. He decided to walk forward, causing the police officer to jump at his sudden presence. "Can you tell us what he looks like? We can send out the information to triage if he has gone through there yet if he was here."
The woman gave him a very thankful look, and tearfully told him everything.
This is the least he could do for now, even if he was still feeling his own panic. He was still a hero and had a job to do.
X
Hizashi Yamada
Hizashi's ribs were screaming at him. He had felt the rumbling off the ground and the first thing that he did was reach out and push Shouta out of the way of the blast. Nothing else had been on his mind but to get Shouta to safety. He was covered in dust, some cuts littering his body but nothing really major from what he could tell aside from his ribs. He had pushed himself up, coughing as he stumbled to his feet. He peered out, cursing to himself as he noticed the entire integrity to the building was shot. It looked like it was hanging on by a thread from just where he was looking.
He could call for help, but he would risk causing the building to collapse if he did so. He couldn't risk it. It would risk his life and any other possible survivors within the building. He had no idea what was going on, but he couldn't hear any fighting so he could assume that it wasn't a villain attack. He reached into his pocket, going for his phone. As he pulled it out, he sighed as he realized that it was busted. So much for calling for someone outside. This was just getting better by the moment. He could risk trying to find a way out or wait for someone to get to him. First, he would try looking for an exit, if not, would stay put until reinforcements arrived.
This wasn't his first near death experience and it sure as hell wasn't going to be his last.
He was just glad it wasn't Shouta. Shouta had been through enough this year already. He had Eri to worry about. His students. Though, if he was being honest, he did it because Shouta's safety had been his top priority in those few seconds.
As he looked around, he paused as he heard the low groan, signifying that he was in fact not alone. He looked around, making a small noise as he found the source. Not far from him was a man with shaggy blonde hair and bright red eyes. He had blood going down his forehead, covered in dust just like he was. A rather nasty, large gash that was on his thigh. Hizashi winced in sympathy as he walked over. Being careful with his movements.
He could absolutely already see the sheer panic on the man's face as he started to approach. The screams of help that followed as the man realized the situation that he was in. Hizashi had been quick to get to him, kneeling down as he flashed a smile. "Hey, man." Hizashi started, getting the attention of the man, "I know this is terrifying, but I need you to remain calm. Alright?"
"What happened?!" The man exclaimed; the panic still laced in his voice as he attempted to stand. Hizashi was careful, placing his hands on the man's shoulders to get him to sit back down. "I need—I need to get out of here!"
Hizashi shushed him quietly, instructing the man to go through breathing exercises with him. Thankfully, he listened, and he could see him visibly starting to calm down a bit. It had taken a lot longer than he would have wished. How he kept trying to get up, clawing at everything around him in his panic. His blown pupils like he still wasn't registering what he had gone through. It was completely understandable. This was a traumatic event. He just needed to get this man calm.
Hizashi waited until he was decently calm before saying, "Appears like an explosion of some sort. We need to be careful what we do. The building looks unstable, so we have to be careful of what we touch. Alright?"
The man looked at him for a second, a look of recognition coming to his face, "You're Present Mic." Hizashi smiled and nodded. "My fiancé loves your radio show."
Hizashi chuckled, shaking his head as he winced from the pain in his ribs. He wouldn't let the man see his own pain, but at least, he wasn't as panicked now. He kept the smile on his face as he surveyed the man for his injuries. He couldn't see anymore, but he also couldn't count out that there wasn't an injury that happened that he couldn't see. For now, he was alert and focused which was a good sign for now. "Glad to hear it. What's your name?"
"Takashi." The man laughed for a second, groaning as he reached for his ribs. "Can't you call for help?"
Hizashi hummed, "I could, but I don't want to risk my quirk causing more damage to the building we are in. There could be a chance that I bring it down on top of us." He explained, "But there are other heroes out there and I'm positive they have already started evacuation and rescue efforts."
Takashi nodded, reaching for his bloodied leg as he pulled it a bit closer, shifting his weight like he was trying to get comfortable. He shook his head, the disbelief written there, "I just stop for coffee. I come here every day. It was all normal. Until it wasn't."
Hizashi tried his best not to show what he was actually thinking on his face, but he sighed, "That's what I thought too."
The man exhaled sharply, leaning back on his arms. "My fiancé is going to kill me."
Hizashi snorted, getting back to his feet as he started to look around again, looking for any opening that he could maybe get a message through or be able to call for help without the use of his quirk. "I'm sure they will be happy that you are alive."
"She will be." He grumbled, "But… it's the worry. I have a somewhat dangerous job. Not like you, being a hero and all but whenever I come home hurt, I see it on her face." He sighed as he forced himself up to his feet. Hizashi wanted to tell him to just relax, and he would do the work, but he felt like that wouldn't be the case here. "Just another day in the office I guess."
Hizashi couldn't even help the laugh that rumbled from his chest. He reached up, gripping at his torso for a moment as pain shot through it. It almost felt too fitting that he could relate to this man. Shouta was out there, probably freaking out in his own Aizawa way about what just happened. He wished his phone wasn't broken so he could call him. Tell him that he was okay and where he was. He wasn't sure which building he had ended up in. It was a miracle that he wasn't knocked out by that blast. It had just blown him back. He would guess that he was possibly in the building closest to the explosion. The one he had been walking by.
He couldn't even imagine what Shouta must be feeling right now. He hoped that nothing had happened to Shouta, but from what he could tell, Shouta got out of the way. It had been hard to see as the explosion went off.
Takashi was limping up next to him, looking around as well. "What do you do for work?" Hizashi questioned.
"Ironically, I'm a firefighter." He stated, "I go to scenes like this all the time. I guess it just caught me so off guard that I… I panicked. All I could see was my fiancé's face. What I want to say to her. Wondering what would have happened if…"
Hizashi's eyebrow shot up as they moved around a bit more, still careful in their movements. "About what?"
Takashi sighed, a sad look coming to his eye for a moment. "We had a fight this morning. I left the house so angry… and now all I can think about is that I'm supposed to marry this woman in a few months, and I might not have made it there."
Hizashi nodded. He understood that feeling to an extent. He wasn't engaged to Shouta. They weren't married, but he knew what it was like to wonder if Shouta was going to come home. He knew it was vice versa. With them being teachers, they got a bit more slack than full time pro heroes did. Less actual hero work and more just teaching. Shouta, however, had been on the receiving end of a lot of villain attacks lately. The USJ, the Training Camp, the Shie Hassaikai Raid. Shouta was so useful out in the field and helped whenever he was called. Hizashi was the same way.
When he had been called away for over that week, all he could think about was getting home to Shouta and seeing his face again. Seeing his small smile. Just seeing him.
"You know what's kind of ironic about all of it?" Takashi questioned.
Hizashi hummed, looking at him for a moment. The man's sad glance turned into a soft smile for a moment. "What would that be?"
Takashi laughed, wincing for a moment as he put weight on his injured leg. Hizashi reached out, letting the man use him as support. "Neither of us had ever thought of marriage before. We didn't really care about it. I've known this girl my entire life, and she never once mentioned anything about marriage." He smiled and shook his head, "I was a fool. I… I had this really bad call one night and I get home, and my fiancé, her name is Hana… she is just sitting there waiting for me and it felt like everything just felt better."
Hizashi's face cracked into a bigger smile. Thinking about how it was the same with Shouta. If Shouta was by his side, it made everything better. "I understand that."
"You're married?" Takashi questioned further.
Hizashi shook his head, "No. Not even engaged. My partner… boyfriend, whatever you want to call him. He does the same for me. Even though, he is probably the one the both of us should worry about the most."
Takashi snorted, tilting his head with an amused smile. "You're a pro hero though."
"So is he." Hizashi replied, grinning from ear to ear. He gave a soft sigh and shook his head, returning to looking around, "He… he has to fight close range. His quirk is amazing, and it's so useful against villains but it does require more physical approaches rather than long distance like me. He got injured pretty bad earlier this year. I was so angry when I saw how hurt he was." He stopped for a second, gritting his teeth at the thought of the USJ. "I guess I wasn't angry about the fact villains were so close to taking him from me… but that I was so close by and was so unaware. That he was fighting for his life and the lives of his students. Protecting so many people on his own… and he almost died. We've been together for over a decade and that was all I could think about."
Takashi smiled, "He sounds kickass."
"He is." Hizashi confirmed, stopping as he noticed an area within the rubble that they could get out of, but they would need help once they got up there. They would absolutely have to be careful.
"Do you mind if I ask you a personal question?" Takashi questioned.
Hizashi peered over at him and gave him a nod, "What is it?"
The man had a soft smile as he spoke. "Why haven't you gotten married or engaged?"
Hizashi hummed, thinking about it. Had they ever really talked about marriage? He supposed they just never really spoke about it. He knew that Shouta had said in the past that he didn't need to be legally married for Hizashi to know that he loved him. Which was true. He also guessed that he took it as Shouta didn't want to get married. He was fine with that since Shouta was in fact the love of his life. Just being with him was enough.
Was it?
"I guess, we just never talked about it." Hizashi replied.
Takashi chuckled slightly, "It might be unsolicited advice… but my fiancé… we were the same way, but I see the way she looks at that ring. How she talks about it. She says it's like having a physical representation to the love we share." He gave a smile as he added, "Just a thought." As he winked.
Hizashi snorted.
Though, he would love that. See a ring on Shouta's finger. Even on his own finger. Show to the world that he was happily married. In a relationship with someone that he loved. He would love to marry Shouta. They didn't need to certificate for it, but he would love to see something that legally said they were together in the eyes of well… everything.
Even if it was just a thought. He loved it.
Hell, he loved Shouta and would move the heavens to get back to him.
It gave him a thought.
He knew Shouta most be thinking of everything bad that could come from this situation. From the outside, it probably looked bad. From the building, it had reminded him a lot of that day. Shouta had to be panicking right now. He needed to get to him. Show him that he was okay. That he was alive.
Tell him that he loved him.
He would do just that.
Once he got the two of them out of this.
Before he could really say anything else, he paused as he noticed the movement in the corner of his eye, a small red feather coming through that small area.
Hawks.
He grinned, "Hey! Hawks! The building is unstable! I have one civilian with me! Unsure of any more!"
He knew Hawks would get his message.
Now, he just had to wait.

Shouta was still with the woman. Hana, he learned that her name was, had calmed down enough. He had taken her over to triage to see if her fiancé had gone through, but they had not had a man of that name come through yet. She had started to panic, but Aizawa had done everything to reassure her that everything would be okay. That he must still be in the area, but they would find him.
"Eraserhead?" Hana questioned.
Shouta hummed, turning his head to look at her.
"Are you married?"
He shook his head, looking around the area once more. Hizashi was still unaccounted for, but he couldn't lose hope despite the still growing anxiety. The twist in his stomach that was trying to tell him something else. He refused to listen to it. Hizashi couldn't be dead. "I am in a relationship though."
He peered over at her, noticing the way that she kept looking at the ring on her finger. Twisting and turning it like a nervous tick. "How does your partner deal with… stuff like this?"
Shouta exhaled sharply. "We're both in this line of work." He replied, "We both understand the dangers."
Hana blinked at him, "Yet, you haven't gotten married? Wouldn't you… want a sign of someone you love? To always know that they love you. Have a piece of them with you always."
Shouta couldn't help the soft smile that broke out onto his face. He technically had that. Just in a different way. It was Hizashi's voice. His music. His songs. A lot of his music was about them. About him. Not that anyone knew that. Though, he didn't have something physical to signify that. He watched her mess with her ring again and finally, he said, "That ring… you keep messing with it."
Hana smiled. "Yeah. It's my symbol." She stated, "I look at it and I know that he loves me. I never thought about marriage, but with him… I knew. Technically, I don't need the marriage part. I want it because of him." She pulled it off, showing a small engraving in it that said My flower. "That's what he calls me. It's a play on my name, but I love it."
Shouta smiled. "It's pretty." She slipped the ring back onto her finger, shuffling on her feet. "Hawks is here. His feathers work really good with location. If your fiancé is still in the area, he will find him."
"Thank you." She whispered.
Shouta was just glad that she was calm now. They were both in the same situation, but he was doing his best to save face. To try and make sure that she knew she wasn't alone. All the others were quick at work. Everything seemed to be calming down enough now that it was clean up and searching for remaining survivors. Very luckily there had been so far, no causalities. Shouta had no idea how, but he was thankful for it. There were a few critically injured people, but so far, looked like they would live if they got to the hospital quick enough.
"Aizawa-sensei!" He peered over his shoulder, seeing his students standing there. The person who called out his name was Midoriya, the concern still on his face. "Any sign of Mic-sensei yet?"
Shouta shook his head, he turned completely to face them. "Not yet." He didn't even want to admit it out loud. He was barely hanging on by a thread as it was. He still felt like he couldn't breathe, despite the rise and fall of his chest. His nails were digging into his hero costume, just clinging onto something. He wasn't much help. He was doing what he could to try and keep his mind at ease, but there was only so much that he could do at this point. He could see their faces drop. Eri was clinging onto Midoriya's leg, and he did his best to give her a smile. It was hard to be so reassuring when he could feel nothing but fear.
Was this what Hizashi felt like when it was him at the USJ?
"Two more coming!" Hawks exclaimed. "Both of them are alive! Minor injuries! There are three more trapped underneath this rubble that are also still alive! They are just further in!"
Shouta froze as he heard Hana scream out, "Takashi!" Before she was running off.
He went to move to stop her but froze completely as he saw Hizashi standing there. Filthy and covered in dirt. Minor cuts on him, but alive.
The air had completely caught in his throat as Hizashi gave him a grin, letting the man he had been guiding, he would guess that was Takashi, go to the EMTs. Hizashi faced him now, a grin on his face. A large grin as if he hadn't just scared Shouta practically to death. He could hear the happy exclamations of his students, but Shouta couldn't even move.
"Shou…" Hizashi whispered.
Hizashi was fine. He was standing right here. His feet carried him as he moved forward, throwing his arms around Hizashi's shoulders. Hearing the pained grunt for a moment. After a second, Hizashi melted into him, burying his nose in Shouta's neck, his arms looping around his torso. "You scared the shit out of me." Shouta whispered.
He had thought the worst-case scenario. He had thought that Hizashi might not have survived. For a second, the seconds before the explosion hit, he could remember the hands on his shoulders. Hizashi's determined face as he pushed Shouta out of the way.
He had put himself into the situation alone. He spent the time to push him out of the way instead of trying to get out of the way himself.
He hadn't realized the tears had been glistening in his eyes for a moment before he had he was covering his mouth and turning. He heard Hizashi's confused noise as he said again, "Shou?"
"I'm mad at you." Shouta whispered. "You pushed me out of the way."
He could hear Hizashi's small chuckle as his hands landed on Shouta's biceps. "All I could think was getting you out of the way." Shouta was so angry. It was the damn mindset of a hero. Always putting others ahead of themselves. Hizashi had done the exact thing that he hated. Not that he could actually fault Hizashi for it, but he was still so angry. Angry at himself for not noticing sooner. Angry at Hizashi for making him worry this much. Angry at the world for deciding to shit on them again. Angry at everything that he could think of. "I… I reacted."
Like the best heroes do.
He hated how he felt in that moment. All the fear and anxiety turning into something else. He could have lost Hizashi in that moment. Hizashi had been more concerned about getting him out of the way.
"Shou, look at me." Hizashi whispered, trying to get him to look back at him.
Shouta knew that if he did, he would break down right there. The tears had split over as he shook his head. "No."
"Shou." He heard shuffling behind him and the gasps he heard from his students had him peeking through his hair and finally he turned his head.
Only, he didn't see Hizashi's face which made him look down. His jaw dropped and his eyes widened as he realized that Hizashi was kneeling on one knee. "Hizashi?" He muttered.
"I could say a lot, but I know how you are so I'm going to keep this short and sweet." Hizashi stated, a grin on his face, "Marry me."
It wasn't even a question. It didn't sound like one. For a second, he thought about it. He couldn't let Hizashi do it that easily. If he was going to propose to him, he was going to do it properly.
Shouta let out a laugh of disbelief, reaching up and covering his mouth. Through the corner of his eye, he could see the faces of his students. How they were anticipating his answer. "You're on an adrenaline high."
Hizashi grinned, "Want me to serenade you?"
Shouta shook his head, giving a fond smile and tilting his head, "You just about died, and you are proposing?"
Hizashi nodded. "You are the person I treasure the most in this world, and I know we don't need it, but I want it. I kept thinking about you down there, and…" For a second, he could see the nervousness on Hizashi's face. "Will you marry me, Shou?"
Shouta kneeled down, reaching out and placing his hands on either side of Hizashi's face. Rubbing some of the dirt away with the sleeves of his shirt as he did so. "I don't have to answer. You know what I'll say."
"Hopefully, yes." Hizashi replied.
Shouta nodded, "Yes."
Hizashi grinned. Shouta didn't wait for Hizashi to lean in, instead doing it himself and pressing his lips into Hizashi's. This man knew exactly how to get him from angry to happy in the matter of seconds. He completely ignored the happy cheers that came from his students, the questioning coming from Eri that was most likely directed at Midoriya. He was happy.
He didn't need to marry Hizashi. He wanted to.
Hizashi pulled away, leaning their foreheads together for a moment. "I love you so damn much, Shou."
Shouta smiled, "I love you." He whispered back.

They were back in the dorms; they were all honestly stunned that Todoroki had been right again. They had all watched the panic that Aizawa had been trying to hide from them. How concerned he was for Mic. It had been obvious to them the second he had sent Eri over to Midoriya. How he tried to run right through fire to get to Mic.
It was like the two of them would move heaven and hell to get back to each other. Not even an explosion could keep them apart.
"You have to tell me your power, Todoroki." Kaminari stated, slung over the back of the couch. "It's kind of freaky."
"His mind still terrifies me." Tokoyami added.
"You got any other theories you want to tell us about, Todoroki?" Kirishima questioned.
Todoroki was sitting there with the biggest smirk of pride on his face. All this time, they made fun of his so called "conspiracy theories" and two of them had been correct. It brought a smile to his face when he had seen that Mic was alright and then what had followed. He had never seen Aizawa show that much emotion all at once.
Todoroki hummed, tilting his head in Midoriya's direction. "Secret love child." Was all he said.
Midoriya sighed, throwing his head back onto the back of the couch, "You know that one is wrong."
"I still believe it." Todoroki stated, shrugging his shoulders. "There is something there, and I don't know exactly what it is yet, but I will find out."
Todoroki rolled his eyes as Bakugou snorted, "You are smart and so damn dense at the same time, Icyhot."
"He hasn't denied it!" Todoroki exclaimed.
As the conversation moved on to what Todoroki had just said, Todoroki had looked out the window. Seeing that Aizawa and Mic were out on the deck. Eri was out a bit further from them with Togata, Amajiki, and Hado from the Big Three. He smiled as he watched Aizawa lift up his hand to tuck some of his hair behind his head. Glistening on his finger was a brand-new ring.
It took a while, but finally his teachers were truly happy.
The explosion wasn't within the plans, but he knew that the others would have started to meddle with him if he needed them. He had a gut feeling that Aizawa and Mic weren't anything more than just boyfriends. He was determined to make them more than that.
Now, it was time to move onto the next one.
He turned his attention away from his teachers and back to his class.
The world worked in mysterious ways, but for once, everything worked out in the end.
