He digs you."
"Does not!"
"Caroline, yes."
"Sorry Davina, But men who prefer to wait in my driveway instead of knocking to show gratitude doesn't really sign off as a Green flag."
"Well what about that quarterback you dated in high school? He was the epitome of red flags."
"I was 16!"
"And he was a quarterback for one semester, and that was only because his Father was the coach!"
Now that Caroline had time to think about it, her taste in men was- to say the least- questionable. But that's what made it more exciting, at one point when she was dating the Quarterback- Matthew- she envisioned a white picket fence life. But after realizing that her vision is only in dreams, she explored more outside the box.
It reached it's when she turned 19, and a car wreck that cut her mothers' life short made her change her thought process on everything. Caroline didn't want to live a life where she was scared to make certain mistakes, because in the end, you never know when the day might be your last.
Her mother Liz was very fond of Rina, it was part of the reason Caroline grew closer and closer to the little Furry HellHound throughout the years.
As if Rina could sense that Caroline was diving into her sadden memories, she propped up on the counter and nuzzled her head into Caroline. The gesture made her heart flutter.
"Maybe I should get a Pet." Davina wondered out loud.
"Aren't you allergic.. to like.. all pets, or is it specifically fur?"
"It depends, I take my allergy medication so Luckily Rina doesn't bother me."
"Yeah, don't want another one of those episodes." Caroline joked, remembering the day Davina had gotten severe itchy allergies when she first met Rina.
"That was not funny."
"I know, I know."
"Then stop laughing" Davina Pouted, holding her hands out for Rina to come and get petted by her.
Caroline heard her phone go off, rushing over towards it to see who called her, she answered with a big smile on her face.
"Stefan!"
"Hey Carebear, I called earlier but it went straight to voicemail."
"I'm sorry, Charger difficulties."
"No worries, listen Care, I kind of need a favor."
"What's wrong?"
"Long story short. Damon"
Caroline sighed in annoyance, already knowing that Damon would've been the cause.
"No shocker there." She heard Stefan chuckle lightly on the phone.
"He threw a celebration party for Elena's end of the semester, and One thing led to another and somebody forgot to put the fire out and basically part of the boarding home is burned down."
"Oh my god! I knew Damon had the IQ of a Mannequin, but I didn't think he was that far gone."
"More than meets the eye I guess, basically I was wondering could I stay with you for a little while? Damon is staying at Elena's and I didn't want-"
"You know you don't have to ask Stefan! Just let me know when you're coming- the day before preferably, and everything will be set!"
"Thank you Caroline."
The call ended and Caroline went back to her conversation about questionable guys, also letting Davina know the new plans she would be having in two weeks.
Elijah spent most of days looking through grimoire after grimoire for the last nine years. With every day approaching, he was hoping to find something that would help him.
"Still looking brother? Such a bore."
"Kol, would you please." Elijah stated, trying to dismiss him.
"I reckon you call the Bennett witch."
"She is no where to be found Kol, I highly doubt she was still be in Mystic Falls."
"I get the sense you're just planning your demise trying to change her back Lijah, if I'm not mistaken, she probably prefers how she is now." Kol smirked.
Klaus sat by the window, listening to the conversation, staring out to the cottage across the street. Every time the young blonde would get into view, he could feel his stomach kick with small ounces of excitement.
But all that would vanish the minute he would see the cat.
Stupid Katerina. You really outdone yourself this time.
A week has passed and Caroline has gotten extra sheets and blankets for Stefan's stay for when he comes. She picked out his favorite meals and snacks, and extra body wash and towels.
She hasn't seen Stefan in 3 months, but she definitely remembers necessities he might forget to bring.
Davina was somewhere in the store looking at magazines when the brunette boy from the Manor mysteriously appeared in front of her, nearly giving her a heart attack.
"Jesus dude!" She exclaimed holding a hand over her chest.
"Don't Fret Darling. I didn't mean to startle you."
Davina got her breath together and looked back at him, seemingly able to keep herself better together this time than the last.
"It's alright."
"I wanted to personally thank you for the sweets you brought me."
"It's no problem" she uttered, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"I'm Kol, and you're.. Davina? Am I correct?"
"Yes" she responded, putting her hand in his to shake after he reached his hand out.
"Me and my siblings are having a dinner Thursday night, and I would hope that you would come over." He stated more than asked.
Davina looked around for Caroline before she could answer.
"Your friend is welcomed to come as well, the more the merrier." He added, Davina looked up into his dark eyes and began to waver almost at the stare.
"Yeah! Sure why not."
"Excellent, I shall see you Thursday!"
"No."
"Please!!"
"Nope."
"Caroline!"
"Davina! for all we know they could have coffins in their basement for when they go to sleep at night!"
"Wow. I can't believe you" the brunette said she crossed her arms, making Caroline look up in bewilderment.
"And why is that?"
"Oh I don't know, maybe somebody forgot who stuck their neck out for them in the 11th grade!"
"That was a one time thing!"
"Oh yeah I most definitely know that!"
"Fine! But only because you spent the night in a cold hard cell."
Davina jumped happily up and down before embracing Caroline.
"This will be fun Care!"
"For you!"
"You know you wanna see Hot McDreamy! The accent is a bonus but my my my have you seen that body-"
"Davina!"
"Bekah! Please come down darling I have news!"
Rebekah wanted nothing more to drive a dagger into her brother's heart. Disrupting her while she fed was something that could start a Trojan war.
"What is it you bloody wanker!"
"Don't be so rubbish! You're cooking Thursday!"
Rebekah sped down the stairs so fast in front of her brother while she had a very confused look on her face.
"And why would I do that, rest assured finding a sues chef is well beyond your vampire abilities."
"It is, but I have invited the neighbors over for a family dinner. And I want them to indulge themselves in a family meal."
"We could just eat them"
Klaus perked up once he heard the neighbors were being invited over. He swiftly made his way to the front entrance where his siblings were.
"We will not!" Kol spoke, before adding "we shall eat the other neighbors." He grinned mischievously.
"May I be idiotic enough to even ask, why would you do such a thing to invite humans to a house full of vampires?"
"Because Kol doesn't want to keep his pants on"
"I'm sorry sister the strumpet, does my stimulated desires make you jealous?"
"That's enough you two!"
Elijah rounded the corner fixing the cuffs on his suit. "I think it's a rather excellent idea."
"Ha!"
"Lijah!"
Kol and Rebekah both exclaimed, both showing very different emotions about the idea. "Don't worry Rebekah I will allow you to cook and burn the house down."
Rebekah rolled her eyes and went back up to assess her meal.
Klaus looked to both his brothers and pondered- hm, maybe I will see you again after all Caroline.
