"The Mall will be closing in five minutes. Please make your final
purchases," came a female voice, which sounded like she was trying to
seduce everyone in hearing range of the intercom.
Two teenage girls dressed mostly in black sauntered out of Hot Topic just as six or seven teenage girls dressed mostly in pink laughed and giggled their way out of Claire's just across from Hot Topic. Neither of them noticed the other was there as the two gothic girls were turning their heads and checking out the oh-so-sexy clerk of the store they had just exited. The pink-clad crew were swooning and giggling over three large football players standing in front of the nearby sports shop.
"Oh my god!" Tessa exclaimed to her friend as she stumbled into something that she saw out of the corner of her eye was a blinding pink. Rhiakath giggled as both Tessa and the pink bumblebee fell at a jock's feet.
"Watch it!" Exclaimed one of the upright pink people, over pronouncing her t's. Rhiakath just looked at her for a moment then reached out and grabbed her by the arms, being careful not to burn her fingers on the pink fabric, and dragged her to the entrance of Hot Topic.
"Don't you think he's sexy?!" Rhi asked the struggling girl who screamed so high-pitched that Rhi had to let go to cover her sensitive ears. Tessa then got up quickly and tackled the screaming pink blob, knocking the wind out of her and forcing silence back into the empty mall. Just then a loud clanging sound could be heard throughout the mall, signaling the closing of all the stores as well as the front doors.
"Shit!" Tessa exclaimed as she grabbed Rhi and started to the other side of the mall.
"Wait, where are you going?!" one of the pink girls squealed.
"You can't leave us!" another one said worriedly.
"Oh, NOW you want us here, after the scum-of-the-earth look you gave us when you first saw us. Well excuse me if I don't want to be stuck in a mall with three idiot jocks and their pink fan club!" Rhi said angrily. The preps just stood there speechless as Tessa and Rhi ran to find a place where they could apparate back to their apartment.
As they ran past the food court, Rhi stopped and looked intently at the many different food places. Tessa realized she was no longer being followed and turned around to grab Rhi and drag her to the bathrooms where, hopefully, the scary pink people wouldn't find them until they had apparated out of there. After passing various stores they found the long hallway where the bathrooms were located and ran into it. With a loud pop they disappeared right before the pink herd arrived on the scene.
"What was that? And... where'd they go?" the bumblebee asked stupidly.
