The air was thick with the scent of blood and ectoplasm. They were assigned to defend the bulwark but fate demanded their death. As I walk through this timeline I notice three charr females during the battle. One gets sent to a crypt to become a hero. The two others, to die by ghost spears. But that's why I'm here, Chronomancy takes years to get right, to find little wrinkles that can change the outcome but not the broader picture. If that ghost's spear was two inches above, it would've pierced through the shoulder, passing safely away from her weary heart. I have to time this just right! Then again, with chronomancy. Time is always on one's side.
Chaos, utter chaos. Swords, shot, and lots of magick was shooting through the air. Euryale didn't like this. It was like a bad dream. She saw Maverick loose his head. Dinky got disemboweled. She heard clawspur scream but didn't see how he died. But by the magic in her veins she will not loose Reeva. Concentrating she unleashes a large ball of lightning at a ghostly shield wall in her way.
"Nearly there," she said.
She rushed to Reeva's assigned location, only to see a ghost spearman manifest behind her.
"NO!," she screamed letting loose lightning to fry that former human. Time seemed to grow still, as she watched in horror as the lightning bolt miss it's mark. A golden glow engulfed the ghost's spear, seeming jerking it away from a fatal blow.
She ran towards Reeva's now bleeding side.
Reeva was able to shoot the ghost into oblivion, still clutching at her torso.
She fell, and Euryale examined her wounds.
Ripping of some her robe she holds it to her friends bleeding torso.
"Ouch, not to hard Euryale." Reeva coughed.
"If I don't press hard enough you'll bleed to death!" she yelled.
"Am I... Wait what's that?" Reeva motioned to something on the bloody dirt.
Again Euryale seen a golden glow, and one of the most powerful healing potions known to charr-kind. It costs almost 10x her yearly salary alone.
She grabs it without a doubt and pours it down Reeva's throat.
"Augh, a little more warning next time Euryale!" Reeva gagged.
She was then brought into a hug, her wound closing within moments.
As the battle died down, they stayed in that embrace until they were commanded to move.
All the while the human chronomancer looked on with his invisibility spell applied.
"I'll have to keep an eye on those two now..." he whispered aloud,
He didn't notice both Reeva's and Euryale's upper ears perk up.
