This is my first Grey's Anatomy story. I just finished the other story I was writing. So, I figured I would do a Thanksgiving story!
A Nice Thanksgiving
It is two weeks before Thanksgiving. Nurses and doctors at Grey Solane Hospital are thinking about what they are going to do for the best holiday, Meredith is thinking about visiting someone. While Christiana is thinking about going to Miami. She hasn't been there in several years—Now would be a good time to do it.
As Meredith finished her shift, she remembered something. She needed to pick up her daughter Zola from school. Because she was going on Thanksgiving break soon, as Meredith left the hospital, she saw Derek come by. He was looking really tired. And not in a good mood.
"What do you want now Derek?"
"I want your number…"
"Ugh. Please stop."
"Seriously, I want it."
"You are not having it."
"Well, I guess your Thanksgiving will be a bust then."
"Can you shut up for once."
"Oooh. Telling me to shut up."
"Seriously."
"I don't think that was a good idea."
"How about this!?"
Meredith slapped Derek in the face, causing him to lose a lot of blood. She ended up leaving him lying there and getting her daughter from school.
When she picked her up, she noticed she was walking out with a group of girls. Meredith was proud that her daughter got new friends.
"Wow, Zola, what nice friends you have there!"
"Thanks mommy, these are my friends."
"I know."
"Can they come to Thanksgiving with us?"
"Yeah, Mrs. Grey. Can we?"
"I am sorry girls, we are going to be busy."
"Awww."
"Don't worry, maybe next time."
"Okay. Bye Zola."
"Bye girls."
As they were driving home, Meredith was thinking about what happened to Derek. She told Zola and she didn't want to know. Zola has always been an innocent girl: Not doing stupid things, hanging out with the right people, and always getting good grades.
Nothing could change her daughter.
Thanksgiving day, two weeks later
Thanksgiving is finally here. Meredith is spending time with her daughter, and she is reading her a bunch of books, as Zola is sleeping. She is dreaming about butterflies and other things.
"Mommy? I love you."
"I love you too."
They both kissed goodnight, and they went to bed.
