In the Demon Realm, a realm full of magic and as the name suggests demons, there is a place called the Boiling Isles. It was an ordinary day at The Owl House… as ordinary as it can be there. Eda was just lounging around, King was napping at the front porch, Hooty was listening to some tunes on his headphones, while Luz was pacing back and forth where the attempted portal door used to be.
"Why is this so difficult? I don't want to hurt anyone. Luz, you fool! What have you gotten yourself into?" Luz whispered to herself while passing her hands through her hair.
"Kid, would you stop your pacing! You're driving me crazy!" Eda complained.
Luz stops pacing and responds, "Sorry Eda. I just have some things on my mind." she goes to sit down by Eda with a sigh.
Eda turned to look at her. "Luz, you okay?" Eda asked with a concerned frown.
Luz looked up and gave her best smile and replied, "I'm fine."
Eda was about to respond to Luz's melancholy smile when they heard someone approaching from the path. The voices started getting louder as they grew closer. One sounded male, the other two were female.
Eda got up and strode over to Hooty. Hooty noticed Eda and glanced at her. Eda stopped and quickly snatched his headphones.
"Hey." Hooty said indignantly. Eda ignores his response and replies, "Can it Hooty. I need you to see who is out there." Hooty is contemplating the order. Eda gets annoyed, "Do I have to restrict your music time?" She said while holding up the headphones.
"Alright, jeez. You never let me have any fun. Hoot." Hooty replied unhappily. He extends his head toward the noise. They hear struggles and then exclaims of surprise.
Hooty cries out excitedly, "Lulu!" Hooty brings back Lilith wrapped up in his coils, along with some guests that Eda knows all too well.
Eda looks over at Lilith and says, "Lily, nice for you to come back." Lilith smiles at her while petting Hooty's head, she then turns her attention to her parents. "Mom," Eda goes to hug her, Gwendolyn smiles at this.
After hugging her mother, she turns to her father. Dell smiles and beccons her to him. She hesitates at first but then she runs into his arms crying slightly. "I'm so sorry." Eda cries.
"It's alright, pumpkin." Dell soothes. Lilith and Gwendolyn smile with tears in their eyes at this, while Luz is holding her hands close to her heart with barely held back tears. King is happy that Eda is with her father again.
After a minute they end their hug. Eda collects herself and gestures King to come closer. "Dad, I would like to introduce you to your grandson, King. King, meet your grandpa."
The two stare at each other. Dell makes the first movement. He reaches into his jacket, King becomes slightly nervous, and pulls out a plushie of a slitherbeast. King exclaims in joy of his new toy. "I was told you had a plethora of these. What's one more?" King jumps up hugging him.
Dell then looks over at Luz, and moves over to her. "So you're the human I have heard so much about. My wife and my oldest can't stop talking about you." Luz blushes in slight embarrassment. "Really?" He nods.
"It is great to finally meet you as well. Eda never talked about you, like ever!" Dell raises an eyebrow at this and looks over at Eda, who isn't looking at them anymore. "I think she just likes being mysterious about her background. Also, she told me she didn't know what a hug was."
Before Dell can say anything Eda interrupts saying, "Well now that we are all here. Let's head on inside and catch up." They all agree.
As they're all heading in, they notice it starting to get brighter out. Which is strange, since it is already high noon. Then they hear a white noise, they go from confused to concerned. The noise and brightness increase, they fall to their knees. Their eyes are closed and have their hands over their ears, while Hooty is withering in pain on the ground. There was a big flash. Once it was gone, there was no one left in front of the house. Even Hooty was no longer in his door.
In the city of Bonesborough, there was a park where the Park family, which consisted of two men and a teenage girl, enjoying a pleasant day. Next to the Park family were Perry Porter and his son, Agustus.
"Willow! This was such a good idea!" Said Agustus.
"I know. It is such a beautiful day. I'd hate to waste it." Willow responded.
"Too bad Luz could not join us." Augustus said sadly.
Willow replies, "Yeah. Eda did say that Luz needed some time after that portal attempt. Hopefully she changes her mind. Now let's go have some more fun to get out of this funk we put ourselves into, Gus."
Under a tree, there was a tall lanky teenage boy sitting next to a girl with a fish hook earring and a dog wearing a shirt and glasses.
In another part of the park was the Blight family, who had to drag out the patriarch to get him away from the fumes of his inventions.
"Remember children, no misbehaving. You wouldn't want to ruin our family's reputation." Said Odalia as she grabs and squashes a bug her husband Alador was chasing much to his disappointment.
Edric, Emira, and Amity respond together, "Yes mother."
Off to the side was Boscha and her posse, that being four other girls. They were giggling at something on Penstagram on their scrolls.
In a tree was Mattholomule, waiting to prank some rivals from Glandus High.
Principal Bump and the staff and students of Hexside are enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the Boiling Isles for once, when they all hear a white noise. They fall or cower to the ground as the noise intensifies, and then they see a bright blinding light. Once it all dissipates there is no one left.
An hour earlier in a cell at the Conformintorium, there are three prisoners. One of them is a boy with dark brown skin, brown eyes, and dark brown hair, wearing gold rimmed glasses, a red tunic with gold trim, dark red pants, black fingerless gloves, and gray knee-high boots. Two are girls. One of whom is the youngest in the group. She is shorter than her companions, has bat-like ears, mauve colored skin, freckles, round silver eyes, with small bat wings on her back, wearing similar clothing as the boy, but with a patch on her right pant leg, short brown boots, and a red headband. The last member in the cell has dark skin, black hair in a ponytail, pronounced fangs, upturned hazel eyes, wearing what the others are, with black calf-high boots, a red hair tie, and a black choker necklace.
The girl with the ponytail was playing a harmonica to annoy one particular warden. The other girl was pleading, "Katya, please stop. You're going to make Wrath angry if you keep doing that." Katya continues, annoyed that it didn't work she turns to the boy, "Derwin, make her stop."
Derwin sighed as he got up to talk to Katya, "Katya, Amber is right. You are going to make him even more angry at us. Do you want that?"
Katya stops playing to answer them, "I know that, that is why I am doing this. I have a plan to get out, but first I need him here."
Amber is even more annoyed while Derwin frowns and asks, "why did you not tell us you had a plan?"
"I am making this up as I go on. Plus you guys would recognize my signal for our escape. Now shush." Katya goes back to playing the instrument, but before she can a noise starts and the lights become brighter. They fall to their knees as the noise and volume increase, until they disappear in a flash of light. The guards and Warden Wrath were on their way to get them to stop playing the harmonica when they heard their screams, but when they got there they saw no one was in the cell.
At the Emperor's Castle, there is an important meeting between the Coven Heads and the Emperor. They all have been in this meeting for several hours.
Suddenly a poor ranking Coven Scout interrupted the proceedings, much to the relief of some.
"What is the meaning of this! This better be important for your sake. My plants are getting very hungry and they love it when their prey resists." Said Terra Snapdragon, the Plant Coven Head.
The scout starts to nervously say, "Uhm… Well…"
They are interrupted by Adrian Graye Vernworth, the Illusion Coven Head, "Speak up you clouted clay-brained bum-bailey."
"It's about Bonesborough… The people in it… They're gone."
The Emperor of the Boiling Isles grows intrigued by this news. He asks, "What do you mean by this?"
Completely intimidated by his lord, Emperor Belos, he responds, "Most of the townsfolk have vanished, my lord."
Vitimir, the Potions Coven Head, turns to the Oracle Coven Head and asks, "Osran, why did you not tell us of this development?"
"Simple, I did not know." He responds.
"How could you not know! You're the leader of the Oracle Coven! That is your job to know these kinds of things!" Shouted Hettie Cutborn, the Healers Coven Head.
Osran replies irretably, "The spirits did not know that this would happen at all. Today or otherwise."
"That is very concerning." Replied Mason, the Construction Coven Head.
Eberwolf the Huntsman, the Beastkeeping Coven Head let a series of grunts and growls out that the Abomination Coven Head, Darius Deamonne, translated for everyone else. "What Eberwolf is saying is that someone should go and investigate this at once."
Belos responds, "Darius. You and Coven Head Eberwolf will go into town to investigate this."
Another Scout enters who is quite winded states, "S-Sir!... T-The O-Owl Lady… And her family… and the Human…" They take in a big gasp. "They're gone."
"WHAT!" Exclaims Raine Whispers, the Bard Coven Head.
Hunter, the Golden Guard, the Right Hand of the Emperor, the head of the Emperor's Coven asks the question that is on everyone's mind right now, "Please explain what happened there, Scout."
"I was doing my job of keeping an eye on them. When I witnessed them all fall to the ground in agony, covering their ears as if there was a loud continuous noise. Then they disappeared in a flash of light. I came as fast as I could." They reported.
Belos turns to his assistant, Kikimora and states, "You are to head there at once and see if these two events are connected."
"Yes, your excellency." She replied.
Just then four of the Coven Heads fall to the ground in pain. They are Eberwolf, Darius, Raine, and Hunter.
"Quick, Hettie and Osran. Do something." Said Adrian.
Before they could do anything, the four disappeared in a blinding flash of light.
The Emperor turns to Terra and Adrian, "You two will investigate Bonesborough instead." While you," turning to Osran, "will get to the bottom of this." Everyone nodded and left the chamber. No one noticed that one of the Coven Scouts disappeared as well.
In the Human Realm, there is a house with many windows in the front. This is the Noceda residence. Inside the house are four teenagers that are taking a break from their role playing game, while the matriarch of the house is in the kitchen getting snacks for the teens.
"... and then Calypso and Rein got together." Cherry, a light skinned, brown haired girl with glasses, finished talking about a ship of a show they like. "What do you guys think?"
"It was inevitable." Replied Masha, who likes to ware dark clothes and is an non-binary person.
"Sorry, I lost track halfway through. I am glad at least one of my favorite characters got together." Said Tim, a dark skinned, long brown hair that covers his eyes, boy.
Vee, the disguised basilisk looking like Luz responds, "Personally, I prefer if Rein ended up with Evelyn. They had a really good chemistry earlier. I am sad they didn't go through with it."
There were various nods of agreement. Camila comes out of the kitchen with a bowl announcing, "Snack time, chicos." She sets the bowl down in front of them. As everyone was going for the snacks they all hear a strange noise. Camilia starts to investigate the noise, until Vee cries out and collapses to the floor. Camila rushes over to her daughter, and sees that she is shifting between her forms while holding her hands to her ears. Camila is about to ask her what is the problem when the noise increases in volume and all of the humans end up on the floor as well. A bright light appears and snatches them all away, leaving the house completely empty.
Further away from the Noceda household, is the greater area of Gravesfeild Connecticut. Many people were going about their day. Enjoying the nice pleasant summer sun with no clouds in the sky. Children were laughing and playing, adults were having coffee or something else, and teenagers were doing whatever they wanted if they didn't have a job.
Then quite suddenly, about ten percent of people started collapsing to the ground in agony, much to the confusion and worry of others. When others started taking action to see if these people were okay, they vanished. This leads to some thinking that the Rapture is happening. Some delved into confusion and panic.
In the In-Between Realm, a place that exists between the Demon and Human Realms, there lies a prison. In this prison is a very powerful being. A being who has been trapped for ages, a being who is a child. This being goes by the name the Collector. They have just got done talking to Belos about these disappearances on the demon side. They did not see this at all.
"I don't know why he gets so cranky when he doesn't get informed about some prisoners of his disappearing because the Warden is incompetent. It is not my fault for not knowing this or anything else at all." Grumbled the Collector.
He hears a noise that grows in intensity every second, along with a light. He eventually succumbs to the pain from the noise and light. Finally there is a big flash and they are trapped no more. They are not even in this realm anymore.
In the After Show Realm, where there was one that was already wrapped up. Horus and Owlyvia were looking for a way to bring back their viewing screen that flew off earlier.
"I flew around everywhere looking for it. It's gone!" Exclaimed Horus, who looks like a great horned owl.
"Well get on the horn and talk to the higher ups." Sais Owlyvia, a northern saw-whet owl.
Horus responds, "Alright, I'm on it." He suddenly has headphones, with a microphone attached to it, on. It keeps ringing for a couple of minutes. Finally he gets an answer. "Yeah, this is Horus Herashoo. I'm with my co host Owlyvia Kim, we are wondering if we can get a new viewing screen for our show, Look Hooo's Talking. Peripherally one that is not made of magical wood. The last one flew away. Yeah, I'll wait." After waiting for another couple of minutes, "What, what do you mean you can't? WHAT?! WHY?!"
"What, what is going on?" Owlyvia asks.
"They canceled us!" Sadly exclaims Horus.
"What?! No! We didn't even get through the entire season. Not to mention season two." Owlyvia replied despairingly.
Both of them continued to cry about being canceled, until they heard a noise. This noise increased in volume, which caused them to cry out in distress. Then it started to get brighter and brighter, until there was a big flash of light. When it was all done, there was nothing there but a few ruffled feathers.
In an undisclosed realm all the people who have disappeared in the previous three appear here. All are recovering from what happened. They start to notice there are others around much to all of their confusion.
Luz looks at the Clawthrones and asks, "Are you guys okay? Cause my head is killing me."
"Yeah kid, we're all okay." Responded Eda. Luz nods to that.
They all look around to see others from Boneborough here, as well as some humans that Luz recognizes from her hometown. She even sees two owls for some reason.
Luz notices her friends Gus and Willow, and rushes over to them. "You guys are okay, right?" They nod, when someone else approaches them, Luz turns to see who it is. "Amity! I'm so happy that you are here. Is my awesome girlfriend okay?"
Amity responds, "Likewise Luz. Yes, I am. So is my family. What about your guy's?" Luz, Willow, and Gus nod their heads. Amity asks, "Do any of you know where we are?" There were nos and shaking of heads all around.
Just then a woman and a group of teens, one of whom looks a lot like Luz, approaches them. Luz notices them and shouts with glee, "Mom!" Camila and Luz rush to embrace one another.
"Mija! Oh, mi bebe!" Camila says in relief. "Are you okay? Are you eating well?" She asks.
"Mami, mami. I'm fine, and yes I have been eating well." Luz answered. Luz looked behind her mother and saw Vee with her friends and asked, "Would you like to introduce me to the people behind you?"
Camila smiles and responds, "Of course, as you know this is Vee." Vee gives a wave. "These are Vee's friends Tim," he nods his head, "Cherry," she gives a peace sign, "and Masha."
"Hey, how's it going? I go by they/them." Said Mash.
"It's nice to meet you all. Also I'm glad that you guys are accepting of Vee's true self." Luz replied.
"Of course, she is our friend." Responded all three. Vee smiles and hugs them, with them hugging her back.
Luz turns to her mother and says, "Mom, I would like you to meet some people." She leads her mother to her friends and the Clawthrones, with Vee and her friends following them.
"Mami, these are my friends Willow," she does a little curtsey, "Gus," he waves enthusiastically, "and Amity. Who is also my girlfriend." Amity straightened up and grave a slight bow.
Camila exclaimed with joy and hugged her daughter and Amity saying, "Mi mija has a girlfriend! I am so proud of you!"
Luz says in embarrassment, "Mami, por favor. Stop, please. I have more people I want you to meet." Camila lets her go so she can introduce her to her pseudo family. "This is Eda, my mentor. Who has taken very good care of me." Eda gives Camila finger guns. "This is her dad Dell," he gives a slight bow of his head, "and his wife Gwendolyn. You can call her Gwen." Gwen raises her hand in greeting. "This is Eda's older sister Lilith," Lilith steps forward and offers her hand to shake Camila's, which she accepts, "and this little guy is King, Eda's adopted son." Luz picked up King while introducing him.
King looked at Camila suspiciously and says, "Don't you dare take Luz away from us. Please?"
Camila proceeds to take King from Luz and hugs him saying, "Ay, que lindo!" She hugs him tight.
King squirms and pushes against her saying, "Not this again. Only Luz is allowed to do this. Put me down and answer my question.."
"Well she is my daughter." Answered Camila.
Before anyone could make a comment on that, a figure appeared. This figure was a male with blonde hair, a beard, wearing a leather jacket over a dark plain t-shirt, jeans, leather boots, sunglasses, and an Indiana Jones fedora. "Greetings everyone! Now I know there are a lot of you who wish to know what is going on. I will be answering these questions shortly. But first let me introduce myself, I am The Franninator."
"What kind of stupid name is that?" Rudely questioned Boscha.
He ignores Boscha's rudeness and replies, "That is the name I have chosen, since I am an Author. Now before you interrupt me, I will explain. An Author is a benevolent being that wishes to entertain either themself or others or both, with their favorite franchises. They can be good or bad depending on how they feel at the time they create their stories around their chosen franchises."
"That is very messed up." Responded Principal Hal.
"It certainly can be. Now that you all had time to mingle, I'll be telling you why you are here. I have brought you here to watch The Owl House, created by Dana Terrace and Disney. The show is centered around three main protagonists, Edalyn "The Owl Lady" Clawthorne, King Clawthorne, and Luz "The Human" Noceda. It is mainly seen through Luz's perspective."
"Really?! That freak?!" Said some of Luz's bullies and classmates. Much to the ire of Camila, Eda, and Luz's friends.
The Franninator annoyedly replies, "Yes. Now I would like you to meet other Authors who will be joining us in this viewing. They will introduce themselves, please be respectful as you respect others. Or I will have to take action against you, trust me you will not like it."
"The first Guest Author is Mr. Hardcor3."
"What's up?" They see a person with dark brown hair, brown eyes, white skin, wearing an old white shirt, with dark blue jeans and a dark blue jean jacket, old sneakers, holding a baseball bat.
"The final Guest Author is Shadmus."
"Yo." Said a disembodied voice.
"There is one more guest who is my brother, Sorivik Ottervik."
"Hello." They turn to see an anthropomorphic Eurasian Otter with a brown coat and a cream colored underbelly that goes to the tip of his tail, wearing a loincloth, and has tattoos on his shoulders, carrying a bow with a quiver of arrows.
"Now with that out of the way, please go to your assigned seats. There will be different colored witch lights to guide you." The Franninator snaps his fingers revealing movie theater-like seats in front of a giant screen. Everyone started to head for their seats guided by witch lights. While Mr. Hardcor3, Sorivik, The Franninator head to some thrones that Franninator summoned to sit upon.
In front of the front row of seats are two bird perches for Horus and Owlyvia. In the front row are the seats for Luz, Willow, Gus, Amity, Camila, Vee, King, Eda, Lilith, Darius, Hunter, Raine, and Eberwolf. The next row is for Harvey, Gilbert, Perry, Alador, Edric, Emira, Cherry, Masha, Tim, Dell, Gwendolyn, Katya, Derwin, Amber, Principal Bump, Skara, Mattholomule, and Steve. The third row includes the Collector, Boscha, Boscha's posse, Odalia, and the rest of the various Boiling Isles residents that extend for two more rows. In the last three rows are the seats for Principal Hal, Luz's bullies, and the rest of the humans from Luz's school.
Everyone was noticing who they were sitting by, some were content, while others were confused, and a few were outraged.
"Why am I not with my family!" Shouted Odalia Blight.
"It will make sense when the time comes. For now you will have to deal with it." Responded the Franninator.
"I think not." Said Odalia. She proceeded to get up from her chair to be with her family. But a force stopped her from doing so and she floated back to her seat. Where bonds came from her chair and fastened her to it.
"As Odalia just demonstrated, you cannot leave your assigned seats until I give the word to do so." Said the Franninator.
People grew nervous at this, as to what else he can do to all of them.
Eda just then noticed who was sitting close to her, Raine Whispers. "Rainestorm?" Raine tries to ignore Eda, but she is persistent. "Raine, why are you not looking at me? What happened to you? Don't you remember what happened during the Gland Prix?" Eda was getting more and more upset as Raine refused to answer.
"This is going to be exciting." Said Owlyvia.
"I know." Responded Horus.
"You guys can talk?!" Questioned Luz.
"Of course!" Said both Horus and Owlyvia.
Luz says with a smile on her face, "That is so cool."
"Please hold off any arguments for when there will be intermissions throughout the viewing of the show." Spoke the Franninator. "Now let us commence. Lights." The lights around the place started to dim. "Camera." A projector turned on to the screen in front of everyone. "Action." An old time countdown started on the screen.
5… beep. 4… beep. 3… beep. 2… beep. 1… beep.
