"Once you're through the city head for the Blue Mountains. And remember if you need help contact... U.S.S." Jacinta says as she drops the group off in the city before leaving.
"That's a lot of humans." Zoe says.
"Maybe some of them are nice." Nigel says.
"Yeah I think we should just keep it low for now." Alexis says.
"Let's move on." Maddie says.
"And I'd love to stay but I'm afraid I'm late for my appointment with the real world. By the way
you're never gonna get to the outback. You should quit now before you get your friends killed." Pretty Boy says as he laughs and walks off.
"Glad he's leaving. He's a jerk." Alexis says as the group gets moving.
*Timeskip*
"Maddie you sure you know where you're going?" Alexis asks as the group is walking around.
"Not quite." Maddie says.
"Hey is that Pretty Boy?" Alexis asks as the group sees people chasing Pretty Boy.
"Save me. They're trying to kill me." Pretty Boy says as people surround the group over a man hole.
"That's not surprising." Alexis says.
"Hey!" Pretty Boy says as he looks at Alexis.
"What do we do?" Frank asks.
"Don't let me die with ugly animals." Pretty Boy says.
"The Uglies Secret Society! What's the password?" Maddie asks.
"Hurry Maddie!" Alexis shouts in alarm as humans get closer.
"I'm ugly. You're ugly. We should all be this ugly. Ugly is the new beautiful!" Maddie shouts before the group is pulled under the manhole as the humans pounce on them only to miss them.
"He... hello? Is anyone there?" Zoe asks as the group looks around and sees something coming towards them and sees a giant amount of red back spiders.
"Don't anybody move. Their venom is ten times as deadly as mine." Frank says.
"Um... Are you with... The Uglies Secret Society?" Maddie asks nervously.
"Yes. Nice pumps. Aren't you that snake who..." A female red back asks.
"Can kill 100 people in ten seconds? Yep that's me! So not tired of hearing that." Maddie says as Alexis smiles at her.
"Impressive. Welcome to U.S.S. I'm Legs Luciano capo of the east coast." The female red back says.
"I'm Frank. What are you doing later?" Frank asks as he goes up to legs.
"Eating my husband. How did you find us?" Legs asks as she smiles at Frank.
"Jacinta gave us the password." Maddie says as Alexis nods.
"Good agent. Tricky smile." Legs says.
"Can you help us get through the city?" Alexis asks.
"Sure. And don't worry. Everyone here knows what you've been through. We've all been condemned by society. Driven into the sewers. You're safe with us." Legs says.
"I guess I don't have a choice. I'm stuck with you lot. I can't go back to my park. Not after what happened." Pretty Boy says annoyedly.
"Why would you want to?" Alexis asks as the group gets moving.
*Timeskip*
"Uh-oh. We got trouble." Alexis says as the group arrives out of the sewer and sees Chaz and Chazzie looking for them.
"It's Chaz and Chazzie!" Maddie says.
"Which means that's our cue to run." Alexis says as the group quickly hides until Chaz and Chazzie leave.
"They're gone." Maddie says as the group comes out of hiding and begins to cross the busy street only to stop on the other side seeing pretty boy isn't moving.
"What's he doing?" Alexis asks before Maddie rushes out and saves Pretty Boy from being hit
"Bye Legs. We'll always have the sewers." Frank says as the group quickly runs over to Maddie and Pretty Boy before running off.
*Timeskip*
"Well this place looks safe for the time being. No humans at least." Alexis says as the group gets off an ice cream van outside of a school.
"What's that sound?" Pretty Boy asks as the group goes in through a window and hears singing.
"I think it's coming from behind that fish tank." Frank says.
"It's beautiful." Alexis says as the group goes toward the tank and sees a toad.
"Oh. Hey there guys. I didn't see you. Well don't just stand there. Come on in. Pull up a chair. Chill." The toad says as the group goes over to him.
"Hi. I'm Maddie and these are my friends Frank, Zoe, Nigel, Alexis and um Pretty Boy." Maddie says kindly.
"And I'm Doug. Put it there. And that beautiful creature in the next cage is my special lady Doreen. Sorry if we don't get up but as you can see we're prisoners. Locked up by a human." The toad says as he gestures to a female next to him.
"I'm sorry. We know humans aren't the best creatures in the world." Alexis says.
"Don't be too hard on them. They do try their best." Doug says.
"Don't make excuses for them Doug. They're awful." Maddie says.
"Um Maddie? Uh if you could let us out like now we'd be so grateful." Doug says.
"Maddie? Quick word. Just playing thorny devil's advocate but maybe there's a reason they've been locked in separate cages." Zoe says as Maddie looks at her.
"Yeah. You sure it's okay to let them out?" Alexis asks.
"They're cane toads who love each other. Where's the harm in that? Of course we'll let you out." Maddie says as she lets the toads out before they begin kissing and loving on each other.
"Ah thank you Maddie. We'll never forget your kindness. If there's anything we can do..." Doug says.
"Well we're on our way to the outback. Could you tell us how to get across the Blue Mountains?" Maddie asks.
"The school buses are leaving for the day. I'm sure one of them goes to the mountains. The children would be happy to help. They're such darlings." Doug says as the group sees children getting on busses.
*Timeskip*
"How are we gonna figure out which one is the mountain bus?" Maddie asks as the group is outside hiding.
"Follow the blue bow." Nigel says as he points to a girl with a blue bow talking to her friend about being horrible looking while gesturing to her mouth.
"How do you know she'll lead us to the mountains?" Alexis asks.
"She's got Blue Mountains couture all over her." Nigel says.
"Let's go!" Maddie says excitedly.
"No! That's it. I am done. I have been kidnapped, attacked by sharks and spiders. I've been licked by a toad. I haven't seen my therapist in two days. I am not going-" Pretty Boy then gets cut off as Nigel stings him and knocks him unconscious.
"It's just easier." Nigel says.
"Come on." Alexis says makes their way onto the bus and barely makes it onto the top of a bus.
