Dean drinks his beer as he listens to the police's report. It has been friggin' year, a year since anyone has ever seen Cas. He knows he's out there somewhere, the angels must've done something to him. But there is no way of knowing, Gabriel is looking after they brought him back after he took revenge on Loki for what they did to him. He then went straight to heaven and he came back…
"He isn't there, Deano." Gabriel said.
"What do you mean that he's not up there? Where else could he be?" Dean asked Gabriel angrily.
"Just like I said, Dumah said he didn't come."
"They could be lying." Dean said, bitterly.
"Maybe. But I see if I can find him, Deano and I won't come back until I do." Gabriel said.
And nothing for the past year, not as much as a sniff of a trench coat, so he sighs then his ears pick something up.
"There he is!"
"God…it's…"
Then there was screaming of horror and pain that nearly took Dean back to hell. What the hell?
"Please, god…"
"Don't worry, you are saved, your soul will recharge heaven."
Dean choked as he heard Castiel's voice, it was grave and hard, emotionless. What the hell?
"SAM! GABRIEL!" he shouted as he came running down the hallway.
"What is it?" Sam asked.
"I heard Cas. He…was at the crime scene…" he said.
Gabriel was alert. "What did he say?"
"He told the officer that his soul would be saved and recharge heaven, whatever the hell that means."
"Damn. The lights were flickering but Dumah told me there was nothing wrong. That lying-"
Dean didn't listen to more, he went to get his stuff, he is going to bring back Cas. The guy has saved him more than once and he will not let things get away like that ever again. He will be bringing his angel home.
….
Castiel was walking through a park that seems familiar to him, he saw a mortal child crying, he knelt down and placed a hand on his forehead and he was sent to heaven.
But yet…something was wrong, he feels like this is wrong.
He shakes his head from whatever unforgivable thoughts in his mind, it is the best for heaven and earth, unregrettably as it is, it will be enough to save the world until Gabriel returns home.
He turns around to see Naomi, he smiles. "I see you have outdone yourself, Castiel."
"Yes,regrettable but it is for the best." he said.
"Yes, MY love." she said as she placed a hand on his cheek. He smiles and kisses her.
His grace was flickering madly, like it was trying to tell him something and a flash of green eyes were in his mind.
He gasped as he placed a hand on his forehead, why did his head hurt. "Castiel."
He groans until he could feel Naomi sending the pain away.
"Thank you."
Castiel and Naomi goes back to heaven, for now but he knows he will have another mission soon.
….
Dean was looking around trying to find Cas but all he saw was lifeless bodies, with their eyes burnt out. This was an angel attack. Did….no, Cas wouldn't do this. It has to be another angel doing this, it has to be.
"Dean, he isn't here." said Sam.
"He was." Gabriel said.
Dean turns to Gabriel, his green eyes hardened at the archangel. This is not Cas, he would never do anything like this.
"It wasn't HIM, he…."
"I'm not saying this was Cassie, I'm saying he had been here." he said, raising his hands up in surrender.
"We'll find him, Dean. We got Bobby, mom and Jack looking for him, even Rowena is looking for him too. I kno-"
"No, Sammy. I'm telling you now, it has to be the angels stink all over this. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that they have done this." he said.
Dean sighed, running a hand through his hair, he went into the warehouse, not to see any angels, so he sat on the chair and tried to pray to Cas again.
"Cas…where are you? I need you, I love you. It's been a year, we found Gabriel. Just…come back to me." he said.
He rubs his eyes and he was about to leave when he hears a flutter of wings, he turns around to see a angel, but not the one he had expect to see.
