It's been a week since Kagome and Inuyasha celebrated their wedding. Each day, they were getting a bit more used to live together. What the Miko prefered was to fall asleep in his arms and the morning cuddles.
The hanyo has been working all week on the garden they were setting behind their hut, while Kagome was training with Kaede.
Today's training was pretty exhausting. She had to use a lot of her spiritual energy to try to master a particularly tricky arrow seal. It didn't help that the day was unusually hot.
When she came back home, Inuyasha was still busy plowing the soil. He had taken off his suikan and his hadagi, leaving him bare chested.
She observed him working, hypnotized by the muscles rolling under his sun-kissed skin. He had tied his hair in a messy man bun, probably to feel the wind on his back and nape. Seeing him like that made her feel even more hot, and she wasn't sure if her cheeks were warm because of the outside temperature or because of her inner turmoil.
"Like what you see?" called out Inuyasha, grinning.
She blushed even more to have been caught ogling him. But he was her husband so technically, she was allowed to.
He planted the scythe he was using in the soil and walked towards her.
"Sorry I didn't come to get you at Kaede's, I wanted to finish plowing the garden so we could start seeding before the next rain." he said.
"That's... That's alright." Kagome answered, still a bit flustered.
Inuyasha looked at himself. "I think I need a bath... I'm all dirty and sweaty." he stated. "I'm heading out to the river. Wanna come with me to cool off?"
"Yeah I really need to cool off right now, with a sight like this." she mumbled to herself.
Inuyasha grinned. "I heard you, you know."
The Miko hid her face in her hands and he chuckled. "Come on, let's go." He walked ahead and she ran up to him.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at a more secluded part of the river, where the current was week. Inuyasha, his back towards Kagome, took off his hakama and fundoshi, than ran butt naked and jumped in the water.
The Miko would be lying if she said she wasn't enjoying the view.
"C-can you turn around?" she asked, flustered and also nervous.
He did as asked and Kagome took off her clothes before entering the water slowly. "That's so refreshing!" she exclaimed.
"Can I turn around or..." the hanyo asked.
When she was submerged in the water up to the shoulders, she said yes.
Now facing each other at a certain distance, they became silent. The water hid most of the details but they could still see the shape of their bodies.
It was not the first time they saw each other naked, since it happened accidentally at some points in their chase for the Sikon shards. But it was the first time they were naked intentionally. Taking a bath together.
"Can I come closer?" asked Inuyasha. She nodded and he swam up to her.
They were facing each other, only a few inches apart. Kagome looked him in the eyes, smiling shyly.
"Turn around." she told him.
When his back was towards her, she proceeded to untie his hair. Since she was shorter, she had to stretch to reach out for the fabric strip in his hair and involuntarily pressed her breasts against his back. Inuyasha blushed, too aware of the soft contact of her skin.
Kagome proceeded to untangle his hair with her fingers, using the water to help. Once she was done, she swept his silver mane over one of his shoulder kissed his nape and caressed his back with her hands.
"You're gonna drive me crazy, you know that?" Inuyasha said.
"Of course I know. But what do you want me to do, with such an irresistible man in front of me..." she answered softly.
She proceeded to massage his shoulders and his upper back, making him groan. She slid her hands down and tentatively caressed his backside.
"It's unfair, you got to touch me but I can't touch you." he complained.
She giggled. "Alright, we can switch sides." she said before turning her back to him.
Being taller than her, he could see the roundness of her breasts from above, leaving his mouth dry. The hanyo dragged his hands from her shoulders to her wrists and up again. He caressed her neck and back, before sliding them from her hips to her sides. He stopped just under the swell of her breasts. He could feel Kagome's heart pounding.
Bending, he left a trail of open mouthed kisses on her neck and nape, before nibbling softly on her earlobe.
The Miko whined, her eyes closed and her breathing erratic.
Rising slightly his hands without touching her breasts, he murmured in her ear: "Can I...?" She nodded.
He rested his chin on her shoulder, his cheek against hers, and he slowly slipped his hands upwards, cupping her breasts.
She gasped softly when he caressed them.
"You're so beautiful..." Inuyasha said, while lightly massaging her mounds.
He was dragging his hands down on her stomach when she put her hands on his and guided them back up.
"I like it when you touch me..." she breathed.
"Hmm you won't have to tell me twice." he responded, while exploring her chest with his hands.
Unable to resist, Kagome turned towards him and hugged him tightly, her head against his chest. She could feel his arousal against her, and he could smell hers.
Inuyasha lifted her chin with his fingers and kissed her passionately. She sighed into the kiss, and grabbed his butt.
They continued to kiss and explore their bodies with their hands and mouth for a while, avoiding to touch their most intimate place yet.
Their intimacy was growing each day, but Kagome still needed time before doing more, which her husband respected even if it was getting harder to do so.
"We should go back..." said Kagome.
Inuyasha was looking at her, his eyes squinted and a crooked smile on his lips.
"What?" she asked.
"Not before you catch me!" he declared before diving in the water, only his butt visible over the surface. He swam away and the Miko snorted.
She dived as well, chasing him as fast as she could. But obviously she couldn't catch up, her speed being no match for his hanyo capacities.
"That's unfair!" she shouted, laughing. "You're way too fast!"
He chuckled and responded "In that case, I'm gonna catch you!"
The Miko screamed and started swimming in the other direction. Seeing she had no chance, she stopped and started to splash him as much as she could to slow him down.
"Oi! Stop that." he said. But she continued with more energy, giggling.
"Oh that's how it is huh? Just wait till I catch you."
Inuyasha launched forward and dived towards Kagome. He grabbed her and emerged from the water, making her lose her balance and fall, splashing him more in the process. She got back on her feet and jumped on his back, laughing. She started to tickle him, finding a particularly sensitive spot.
The hanyo tried not to laugh, wiggling in an attempt to dislodge his wife from his back. She finally let go and he wrapped her in his arms. He crashed his lips on hers, kissing her fervently.
They reluctantly broke the kiss, both panting.
"Yeah I think you're right, we should go back." Inuyasha said.
They swam to the shore and the hanyo got out of the water first, his wife seizing the opportunity to ogle him once more.
She followed him and felt flattered by the way he was looking at her.
They got dressed and headed back home, Kagome riding on his back.
Later that night, they were ready to go to bed and cuddled like they did every night.
Facing each other, their foreheads touching and their legs intertwined, Inuyasha was running his fingers through the Miko's hair. She sighed.
"I liked it, the moments we spent at the river." she said softly.
"Admit it, you really liked seeing me naked." her husband said, grinning.
Kagome snorted. "Of course I did, you bragger. But I mean, the intimate moments we shared, the banter... It was nice to just feel carefree for once."
"Yeah... And you are incredible sexy when you're carefree." he said.
She kissed him tenderly, caressing his face with her hand. Inuyasha wrapped her in his arms and she rested her head in the crook of his shoulder.
He buried his nose in her hair, a habit he got since she came back, and fell asleep, surrounded by her sweet scent.
