Note:  Here's another poem about Folken-sama!!  Of course… what else would I write about?  Seriously, though, Folken is my muse!  Yeah!  *glomps Folken-sama*  This one is, for once, happy and fluffy.  Well, sort of.  It's hopeful, at least.  Wistful.  That's the word I'd use to describe this one.  In the first stanza, I'd imagine Folken looking out a window on the VioneThe second one I'd imagine is him after he defects from Zaibach, but before he joins Van and Hitomi.  The third would then be after he joins Van and Hitomi, but before the big battle (obviously), like, he's just out for a walk, only he's flying^^.  (I say "I'd imagine" because that's what I see when I read it… but you may see something different or interpret it differently… which is perfectly okay!) Anyway, enjoy!

What Planets Dream Of

Letting go an angel's sigh,

You gaze across the endless sky.

The earth lies silent and in pain;

Broken by your selfish gain.

Regret forms a thickening cloud

Why did you have to be so proud?

But just once more you'd like to see the stars

Without the haze of being so far

So far from everything you wanted

So far from everything you dreamed.

Choking on an angel's sigh,

You drift across the ashen sky.

Holding on to letting go,

You wonder what you truly know.

Memories of a child's face are quickly passing,

But haunting thoughts are lingering.

(What do planets dream of?)

The wind chants an ancient lullaby

As the earth stifles a painful cry

And folds into a despaired sleep;

Despair that runs forever deep.

A bittersweet song escapes your lips,

Rain from dark clouds sullenly drips;

Soaking everything in whispers of sorrow.

Breathing in an angel's sigh,

You soar across the morning sky,

Finding what you've always sought-

A bit of peace amidst the rot.

A rainbow pierces silver clouds,

Golden light is scattered 'round.

Beauty falls in a sparkling shower,

The sun embraces bloss'ming flowers.

Dew drops glow in starry hues

Just like a crown of scattered jewels.

Hard battles yet are to be fought,

Everything still could come to naught,

But for now things are what they seem;

A vision of paradise that in splendor gleams.

Although you still do not understand everything,

At least you have a good idea

About what it is that planets dream of.
