Not Just A Random Name!

Chapter 1

Disclaimer: All I own is Jennifer, Kacey, Lily, their parents, Hillary's parents and Mark's parents. Everything else so far is J.K.R.'s except for Hillary, who my next door neighbor created.(Not in a story, so I'm not stealing a character.)

A/N: Lily has no connection to Harry's mother. I just got her from one of my friends from school. The last section of her nickname was "lily" so that's what I named her. To a certain impatient somebody who just happens to live next door to me, here's the story, OK? Now shut up! ******************************************************

Mark Evans had lived a pretty normal life so far. He had gone to elementary school, made friends, and been beaten up a fat kid named Dudley. But then, the house next door, which nobody had lived in for three months, had a moving truck in front of it.
"Mark, did you notice the moving truck in front of the house next door?!" His mother exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah" Mark said. They were sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast.
"You know, I've spoken to the mother of the family whose moving in. They have two daughters, Jessica and Katie or something. Anyway, one of them is your age, so to welcome them to our neighborhood, I invited them over for dinner tonight!" His mother exclaimed the last part.
Great! Thought Mark. Now I'm gonna have to spend dinner with some sissy girl. Mom doesn't even know her name! Isn't that dangerous? Aren't you supposed to at least know somebody's name before you invite them over for dinner?
"Now Mark," His mother said warningly, "These people are our guests, and you will be nice to them." Yeesh! His mother must be able to read minds or something! But he didn't say anything. He just went upstairs to his room to sulk. ******************************************************
"DIIING DOONG!"
"Great! They're here!" Marks mother exclaimed. Those had been the exact words Mark was thinking, though not quite in the same way.
"Come down here and greet your guests Mark!" His mother called.
"Coming!" Mark called with a sigh. ******************************************************

Marks mother had made a turkey, stuffing and all, baked rolls, made mashed potatoes, and baked an apple pie for dinner. The table looked like Christmas, which was dumb in Marks opinion because it was June. The only thing that was missing was the holly centerpiece. Of course, Mark was forced to sit in between the two girls, Jennifer and Kacey. Jennifer had just turned eleven, Kacey had not quite turned eight. Kacey kept on talking non-stop.
"Hi! My names Kacey! I'm seven! I'm gonna turn eight soon though, Right Jen?" Jennifer nodded. "But that's not the best age. The best age is eleven because you get to go-"
Jennifer put her hand over Kacey's mouth.
"Kacey's gonna stop telling family secrets, or she won't reach the age of eleven." Jennifer growled.
"Jennifer, be nice to your sister." Jennifer's mother warned. Jennifer just sighed. ******************************************************
This really stunk, I know. Please review anyways!
