the new beyblades.
Okay, so I now have two flames for this story. If you happen to be reading this, dear flamer, answer this question: If you hate my story so much and "have seen better" then why do you even bother coming here TO read?? I mean, if you are trying to get me upset or trying to tick me off or something, then you are failing. Miserably. I am not easily hurt emotionally, and I honestly don't give a sh*t about flames. Personally, I think that flamers are dumba$$es that don't have a life or know what is good for them. I hate flamers, have never flamed anyone in my life, and think that flamers seriously need to go get a hobby (Other than flaming people) and/or get a life! I mean, the purpose of a review is to give the writer more confidence (Which I have very little of, part of the reason why flames don't bother me), correct a mistake they might have, or tell them that you like their story. So, go find another story to flame because you are just wasting your time and mine flaming me, 'cause I don't give a f*ck about anything that any f*cking flamer says or anything that is meant to harm me, because it doesn't f*cking work. And it's my problem if I don't have a life and I write, and if I make myself look bad. Now go get a life and/or find someone else's story to flame. *Grins and waves at the (hopefully) ticked off flamer*
Now, if you had nothing to do with the flame, I am sincerely sorry for my harsh language and use of profanity and all that jazz. I'm sorry if I scarred you or anything, but my brother just hit me over head with a text book and now I have one h*ll of a head-ache. Please continue reading anyway! ^__^;;;
~*~ Chapter 14: The last war of the foxes ~*~
Kit shifted uncomfortably as her hand brushed against her side. She gritted her teeth from the pain, but did nothing else. (Okay, you have to remember that her whole hand is burned really really badly and she can't touch anything without feeling pain (For that hand only, though)) Kit looked around and saw all her friends laughing and smiling and being able to do anything that they want. Unlike her. She had to stay on guard incase Kouga came and she couldn't use her right hand, meaning she couldn't practice with her sword very much. Well, on the other hand (Literally ^__^) she could use this time to perfect her left hand in sword skills, but still......
Sakura glanced up at her long-time friend, concerned. Kit had not spoken since they rescued her and she said that strange thing. Sakura couldn't get her words out of her head. (Did that even make sense to anyone? If not, then it meant that Sakura couldn't get Kit's words out of her (Sakura's) head.) Kit looked moody and that was bad. Not just 'Okay, she's in a bad mood' bad, but 'The world is going to end or Kit is gonna do something drastic...perhaps cut her wrist' type bad. Yeah, THAT bad. The last time Kit got moody, when Sora tried to get her to eat something, Kit practically went crazy and nearly broke her neck, not to mention scaring everyone half- to-death when they made her stay in the hospital and she nearly attacked one of the nurses. Yep, Kit needed sugar and FAST!! If she didn't go on a something-high soon, she might actually DO that "something drastic." Not good, not good, not good, not good!!.....
Kit looked around at her friend, and, seeing Sakura looking up at her, turned away with a small "Hn." She looked up at the sky and wondered what she had ever done to deserve this. Oh, yeah. She was born, she ran away a couple of times, she formed a secret beyblading team, the list went on and on. (Not very self-confident, is she?) She growled slightly. Apparently, Kouga had rubbed off on her. That was NOT acceptable.
Kit was so deep in thought that she didn't realize that she had mail until she thought she heard someone mutter, "Why did I have to be the one to deliver the stupid message??" Kit opened the letter and saw her real mother's flowing handwriting. The letter said:
Dear Kit, I am giving you two options: You can either come to the US with me (Voluntary), or I can force your brother to come with me. I think that you'll chose the second one, since you have so many friends over there. So, do you have a boyfriend yet? If so, what's his name? Hopefully, I'll see ya soon, girl! Later! Sandra, your mom.
Kit grinned. Her mother never had insisted on Kit calling her "mom" or anything like that. In fact, she let Kit call her anything she wanted. Yep, that's right. Anything. Like "Old lady," "Old bat," "Old crone," and others. Kit smiled at the memory. Yes, when her mother had been around, things had been better. Oh, well. Mustn't dwell on memories, now. Kit's smile faded as her hand brushed against the hilt of her katana. She'd have to get her mother to get Kouga off this continent.
Kit wrote, under her mother's writing: Hey mom! It's been a while since we last talked, ne? Well, I'd love you to get Kouga off this continent. So there's my answer. Yes, I do finally have a boyfriend. His name is Rei and he's really nice. I think you'd like him. Come visit me soon! Kit.
She jumped down from her tree and put the letter in the mailbox. She then went back inside to change the bandages on her hand. She heard someone walking behind her and looked over her shoulder; not enough to be noticed, but enough to show her that Sakura was following her.
"Did you need something, Sak?" Kit asked, using her nickname for her best friend.
"I was going to help you with your bandages. It's not exactly easy to put them on with one hand, is it?" Sakura asked, looking her best friend in the face. "So, I saw you put something in the mailbox. What was it?"
"It was just a letter from my mother. My real mother," Kit amended quickly, seeing her best friend raise her eyebrows. "It was offering me a chance to either get away from here or have Kouga forced off the continent."
"Which one did you put?" Rei asked, coming from out of the shadows near the door to the bathroom.
"I put that Kouga should go, naturally. Do you think that I would just leave all of you so that I could get away from the place that has been my home my entire life? No, I would have my brother shipped off," Kit said with a small smile.
"Well, that's good. And I see that you are in a better mood, which is even better!" Sakura said, going all happy on them again.
"Sak..." Kit growled in warning.
"WHAT?!?!" Sakura said, looking around. Kit sighed and went over to the bathroom, passing Rei as she did so and giving him a small smile.
"I think you need to lay off the sugar if you want to live," Rei said absently as he went into the bathroom to help Kit with her bandages. Sakura stood there for a moment, then went to find Kai. (*Sweatdrop* Short-term memory AND being sugar-high and an idiot all the time...She's starting to sound like Kim.)
Rei carefully wrapped Kit's hand in gauze, but still saw her wince occasionally as he finished. "Hey, you ok?" Rei asked, looking Kit in the face.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired and sore," Kit said. "And surprised that I couldn't pick the lock myself. I had done that before. *Sigh* But not when Kouga had practically stripped the room of everything that I had in there." Kit looked outside, lost in thought again.
"So, will your hand be ok?" Rei asked.
"Yeah, that'll be fine in a while. I'll just have to lay off writing and blading for a while," Kit said, smiling at Rei.
"What about sword training?"
"I can always use my left hand, right?" Kit said, slight amusement showing in her eyes.
"KIT! REI!! COME ON! WE'RE WAITING FOR YOU!!" Sakura's voice called from outside. Kit sighed and wondered how much sugar her friend had had today......
When they got outside, Kit saw one brief look of everyone looking rather smug before someone threw something in her face. It was a pie.
Kit glared around at her friends, causing them to double over laughing because Kit glaring at them with whipped cream all over her face wasn't exactly scary. More like hilarious.
"Okay, I'll spare all your lives if you tell me who did that!!" Kit said, slightly ticked off. Everyone immediately pointed to Sakura, who "Meep!"ed and hid behind Kai. "SAKURA!!!!!!!! GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!!" Kit yelled as she chased her friend around the yard. Everyone else laughed.
~*~ End ~*~
Okay, that will, most likely, be the end of the story, unless someone wants me to do a sequel chapter after this or something. I will NOT make an entirely new fic just for a sequel. I already have to do that for a fic I finished a couple of months ago. As soon as I finish the last chapter for one more fic, write the last couple of chapters for another fic, and, depending on if you guys want me to make another chapter or not, finish that one, I will be working on the sequel for my finished fic and my other 4 stories. Two of them are posted on FF.N on another account name, and two of them are posted on Mediaminer.org. Well, please REVIEW, not FLAME, you dumb-a$$!! See ya later!
