Chapter One ~ From the Sidelines
That's how it always works; I'm always looking in from the outside. I'm never in the center with my "friends". They're always the ones getting all the attention, setting the trendiest trends, and hearing the newest news. No matter how I try it's just never me.
I decided to start writing in the everyday. I'm hoping it will get some anger, happiness, or any of that junk that people usually get from writing. Oh yea, it was also an assignment from our teacher. We're supposed to write a journal about what happens everyday and then every week give the journal to her. But everyone knows to now give her the real story. You can just write a fake one the night before and give it to her. I mean, how embarrassing would it be to give her the real one! I wouldn't want her knowing who I like my life would be ruined. I can see it now on the front page of the Witch Weekly: GIRL DIES FROM EMBARESSMENT, not a pretty picture.
Ok well I guess I better start writing my journal now.

It had been all Hermione's fault my day was ruined. I was just walking in the corridors when there she is; surrounded by all of her other friends that I don't know because I'm not cool enough, and she looks completely different! She had this new makeover spell put on her or something, I swear I almost cried. She had been really pretty before too but this new spell I'd say topped it off. Today she was wearing a mini skirt and a very revealing shirt with all of her boobs (practically nothing) in full view. I don't know how she even got into the shirt. And then he walked past; Harry potter walked past and went straight up to Hermione. I still didn't know how they could be best friends, after all, he's a pureblood and she's nothing more then a mudblood.
I know I just told you she's my best friend but sometimes I can't stand her! She's always talking about the newest clothes that just came out in the muggle world, and saying how her boyfriend would absolutely die if he saw that outfit. So then she'd run off and buy it. I guess that's why we've grown apart after the 5 years of knowing each other. I've started hanging out with some other people in Gryfindor, and she's made new friends the second she stepped into Hogworts. I think you'd be surprised at all the filth the Witch Weekly say that's not true. It was all over the paper about how "HARRY, HERMIONE, AND RON DEFEATED THE DARK LORD ONCE AGAIN," but no one ever got the real scoop. Here's how year one went: We all came to Hogworts, the golden trio is very popular, and no one ever includes the short little friend on the side that just happens to help them through everything and get them out of trouble. No, that's why I'm always on the outside looking in. Then, I find out the stone is going to be stolen, and I'm the one that finds out what The Sorcerer's Stone really is. And yet another time I'm the one that protects them from getting caught about every time they are sneaking about. In the weekly, the reporters failed to notice I was the one that got them through to the stone, not the "Golden Trio," who everyone talks about. And that's just half the story, but I can't go on right now, my ink is running out and it's almost 1:00 in the morning.
