With Me All Along
Your strong arms circled me
holding me tight.
I thought this moment would never end
I sure was wrong.
It seemed like only moments later
you were ripped away from me.
You vanished into thin air.
I sought you out years later
after I saw you in a sphere.
I couldn't help but smile when I saw it.
I thought I would find you
and once more be held in your arms.
Then the bitter truth knocked the wind out of me.
It wasn't you
but he could be your twin.
As similar as you
looked
It wasn't you.
As he held me in his arms
I felt guilty.
You were gone and I was in someone else's arms.
Yet I didn't give up on you
I kept on looking.
I helped destroy the ultimate evil,
but I still didn't have you.
Though it's hard to admit,
I'd given up looking.
I stood in the lonley abyss
when I heard that whistle.
It couldn't be, could it?
Looking behind me,
it was YOU.
Outlined by a golden aura.
I was once again in your arms,
but I knew it couldn't last.
I held on as long as I could,
but once again you disapeared, this time in my arms.
Then I realized, you were with me along.
