The wind whipped the darkening clouds ever closer to the Black Pearl.  Jack stood at the helm, watching his crew ready the ship for the coming storm.  He notice Ana looked tired, but then he noticed that everyone looked tired.  They were all ready for a vacation.  He realized that if they didn't land soon, they might run out of supplies, namely food.  He decided to check the numbers and see just how long they could stay out at sea, "Gibbs, take the helm."

            "Aye, Captain."

Jack worked out the numbers with his fingers and toes, and did not notice the sound of rain on his ship until it began to pour.

"Maybe I should go out, but it's safer and drier in here…" he thought.

Hours later, the doors flew open, and Ana scurried in, soaking wet.

"Jack Sparrow!  Where have you been? The crew is ready to go under deck for the night!"

"I figured they could go to bed on their own, Love."  He quickly walked over to her, grabbing his coat on the way, and putting it around her shoulders.

"I'm so tired, Jack," she said, leaning heavily on him.

He put his arm around her shoulder, gently rubbing it in a futile attempt to warm her up, "We should go to bed."

"You should finish what you were doing, and I'll go to bed…"

"I'll finish it in the morning."

"I can sleep on my own you know."

            "But you never do."

She smiled and led him to their bed.

Constructive criticism is highly encouraged.
