Watch it Inuyasha or should I take my reviewers advice and pair Kagome up with Yusuke?

Well onto the story enjoy!
Kurama and Yusuke rushed to the well, "Sam!" worry was apparent on their faces.
"Oh God Sam please be ok," Kurama mumbled. Neither boy even took notice of Shizu's disappearance.
Hiei stood on the edge of the well looking down, "she's not there." A soft growl escaped his lips, he would get Shizu for endangering someone he cared so much for. He had only barely admitted to himself that he loved her dearly, he wasn't going to lose her.
Yusuke clenched his fists, "we're jumping in."
"What the hell Urameshi!" Kuwabara hollered, "you're going to kill yourself."
Yusuke frowned, "I don't care."
"I'm going too," Kurama said with determination. Yusuke nodded and jumped over the edge followed closely by Kurama and Hiei. Kuwabara followed begrudgingly. The four boys landed on at the bottom of the well and quickly climbed up.
Hiei frowned, "apparently the well is a portal to somewhere."
Kurama nodded, "yes but where?"
Yusuke looked around, "Kuwabara! You're the one with high spiritual awareness, look for my sister."
Kuwabara scowled, "yeah yeah." They followed Kuwabara's lead and quickly caught up with Sam. Kurama's eyes flashed gold at the sight of the young kitsune leading her and the half demon walking next to her. In a flash Kurama was behind her, he took her free hand and pulled her back against him.
Sam's eyes widened, "Kurama?"
Kurama dug his nose into her hair and hugged her tightly, "thank God you're ok." He lifted his head and caught her lips in an intense kiss.
"We didn't find her so you two could make out!" Yusuke shouted angrily.
"Hi I'm Shippo," the kitsune smiled jumping on the half demons shoulder, "who are you?"
Kurama didn't release his grip on Sam, "I apologize, I'm Kurama this is Hiei, Yusuke and Kuwabara."
"This is Inuyasha," Shippo said tugging on the others ear.
"Get off me shrimp," Inuyasha growled.
Shippo jumped over to Sam, "Kagome said you had to be nice to me."
Sam looked thoughtful for a sec, holding the kitsune in her arms, "Shippo you said only Kagome could get through the well right?"
Shippo nodded, "uh huh her and Inuyasha."
Sam lifted the blue jewel from her neck, "does she have jewel and does it look anything like this except maybe a different color."
Inuyasha froze and growled, "how the hell do you know about the Shikon jewel?"
Yusuke groaned, "man we're only supposed to find Shizu, who cares about the damn jewel?"
Hiei rolled his eyes, "most demons would kill for that jewel, just as they would kill for Sam's jewel."
Inuyasha gave them a confused look, "you don't want the jewel."
Kurama shook his head, "no but we will assist you in guarding it."
Inuyasha scoffed, "we don't need your help."
Hiei smirked, "with how easily we snuck up on you, I would say different."
Inuyasha growled, "watch it shorty."
Hiei grabbed the hilt of his katana, "repeat that mutt."
Sam scowled, "stop it, I want to speak with Kagome and I won't be able to if you kill each other."
Hiei scowled, "fine."
Sam smiled, "you can let go of me Kurama."
Kurama gripped her tighter, "no I believe that I'll hold on to you and make sure you're perfectly safe."
Yusuke shoved them apart, "no, you're letting go."
Sam groaned at her brother, "Yusuke we don't have time for this."
Yusuke looked calm, "then I guess you guys aren't holding hands."
She gave him a death glare, "you are the most annoying brother ever! Inuyasha, lead the way!" Inuyasha raised an eyebrow at the two but chose not to say anything.
Kuwabara broke the silence, "um hey where are we?"
Shippo was still in Sam's arms when he answered, "you're in feudal Japan of course!"
Kurama smiled, "one of my favorite eras, very complicated charms placed on very valuable items, hard to break and a worthy challenge."
Hiei smirked, "the great Yoko went on a stealing spree?"
Kurama looked hurt, "you act as if it's a pastime, stealing is an art that requires great skill and patience."
Sam gave them a harsh look, "stop it you two, we're never going to get anyone's trust with that kind of talk." Both demons shut up, quick to make her happy. Yusuke smirked, of all the people he had met, his sister was the only one who could make Hiei listen. Yusuke only half wondered about that but didn't give it much thought.
Inuyasha growled from ahead, "don't even think of trying to steal the Shikon jewel." Kurama's eyes glinted at that challenge.
"Don't," Sam hissed. Kurama relented and gave a quick nod. The odd group reached the village and Shippo leaped out of Sam's arms.
"Kagome," Shippo ran into one of the homes, "guess what me and Inuyasha found at the well."
A voice floated out, "what did you find Shippo?"
"A girl," he said excitedly, "and her friends. Her name's Sam. She has a brother, Yusuke, and he's just as stubborn and annoying as Inuyasha." At that Sam burst into peals of laughter, doubling over.
Yusuke fumed, "it's not that funny Sam."
She gasped holding onto Kurama for support, "yes it is." Three heads popped out of the door Shippo had jumped through, curious as to who was laughing so much.
Yusuke scowled, "would you cut it out already?"
Kurama chuckled, "you must see the humor in this Yusuke."
He crossed his arms, "shut up Kurama."
Hiei smirked, "do you have a problem detective?"
Yusuke turned red, "damn it Hiei, it's not funny! And don't even think about saying a word Kuwabara."
Kuwabara laughed, "I don't need to, you're sister's already doing a good job of making you look like an ass."
"Um hello I'm Kagome," a girl stepped out interrupting them, "this is Miroku and Sango, are you the people Shippo met?"
Sam nodded holding back laughter as she introduced the group, "actually if it's alright I really wanted to talk to you about the Shikon jewel you protect."
Kagome looked down at Shippo, "did you tell her?"
He shook his head, "no she figured it out."
Sam smiled and pulled out her own jewel from around her neck, "I have to protect a jewel myself so it wasn't that hard to figure out."
Yusuke's eyes narrowed, "if you get kidnapped or killed because you flashed that jewel around too much I'm not saving you."
Sam shrugged, "that's fine I never asked you to, besides Kurama will save me if worse comes to worse and I have to be saved." Yusuke only scowled at the remark.
By this time Miroku had inched his way to stand in front of Sam, "milady it's a pleasure to meet you, would you do me the honor of bearing my child?" She blinked in surprise then scowled at the sight of Kurama and Yusuke holding Miroku a couple of feet off the ground.
Yusuke growled, "ever ask her that again."
"And you will die a slow painful death," Kurama finished for him.
"Put him down," Sam scolded, "ever heard of the words, extremely and obsessively over protective?" The two put Miroku down slowly.
Kurama leaned in so only Miroku could hear what he had to say, "she happens to be my mate and I will protect her, especially from someone like you so watch it." Miroku visibly paled at the comment.
Sango laughed, "I knew one day you'd ask the wrong girl that question." Sam, however, was glaring at Yusuke and Kurama.
"I can't believe you two," she hissed.
"We had good reason," Yusuke protested.
"No you didn't," she scowled. Taking the opportunity of Sam scolding her brother, Kurama slipped one arm around her waist in one fluid motion, and cupped her cheek with his other hand.
"But koi," he said trying to sound pathetic, "we worry about you, we want to keep you safe and protected."
"Uh," was Sam's only response as she practically melted in his arms. Hiei snorted, it annoyed him to no end the way Sam always responded to Kurama, no matter how mad she was at him, no matter what.
Kagome couldn't help but giggle, "didn't take a lot to drop your guard."
Sam blushed but didn't push Kurama away, "um well what I wanted to say is that there's a demon named Shizu who is after the Shikon jewel."
"Feh," Inuyasha broke in, "demons are always after the Shikon jewel."
"Well I would think so," Sam said softly, "but he's a demon from our time, much different from a demon from this time."
Inuyasha scowled, "there are very few demons on your time, I know I've visited, and they're weak."
Sam raised an eyebrow, "oh really? Very few huh? Well Hiei is a fire apparition and Kurama is a silver kitsune."
Inuyasha bristled visibly, "doesn't prove a thing."
Sam scowled, "I'm a miko, baka! I should know if there are demons in my time!" Inuyasha's eyes widened and they flickered between Sam and Kurama, noting the way he held on to her, the tenderness he showed her, the obvious affection he had for her. He was a demon though and she was a miko, that couldn't be right! She wasn't disgusted by his touch, she didn't push him away, she seemed to enjoy his touch, why hadn't Kikyo taken pleasure in his own?
"Whatever," Inuyasha gritted his teeth and stormed inside.
Sam blinked, "what's wrong with him?"
Kagome stood silent for a second, "I think bad memories resurfaced is all." Sam still looked thoroughly confused.
Sango sighed, "he fell in love with a miko once but she wouldn't accept him as a half demon, it's kind of a long story."
Sam looked at Kurama and he looked at her. "Oh," they both said softly. The idea of rejecting Kurama just because he was demon seemed ridiculous to Sam. Kurama however wondered what he would do if she ever rejected him like that, he'd probably go berserk.
Kagome shook her head and smiled, "well back to business, now what did you want to tell me about this Shizu guy?"

And also since this is the beginning of the story and I'm not sure where I'm going to go the pairings might change I haven't decided yet.
