This all happens few months after the end of Sunnydale.
Chapter 1
It was an saturday morning. Dawn was in her room, sleeping. She saw a really wierd dream: Dawn, was the slayer. She was patrolling. A vamp attacted her and she fought with him and dusted the vamp. Dawn woke up, it was 9am. And it was her 17th birthday. "Happy birthday to me" she said really quaietly. Dawn walked downstairs and saw Buffy watching tv. She sat nex to Buffy. "Hey Dawnie" Buffy said and smiled. "hey"said Dawn. "Where everyne else are" Dawn asked. "Willow went out and Giles and Xander are sleeping" said Buffy and watched tv. "ok" said dawn and watched tv too. On that day no one didn't even mention Dawn's birthday. Before she went to sleep she wrote into her diary:
No one didn't even sayd 'happy birthday' or something like that. I think that even Buffy don't care much for me.
She almost cried.
Chapter 2
"Breakfast is ready, everyone come down!" Willow yelled. Dawn didn't want to go down, she hadn't slept at all last night. So she was tired and pretty sad. She didn't go down just lied there, thinking. Buffy ran down "Coming" and Xander followed her. Giles was already down and he was eating. "Dawnie!" Willow yelled, "Breakfast is ready. Come down!" Dawn didn't reply. After breakfast Buffy went to Dawn's room "Is everything ok?" she asked from Dawn. "No" Dawn said "I think I'm ill" Buffy sat on Dawn's bed and touched her forehead "You are kind of hot." She looked little worried "You better stay at bed today" "ok" Dawn said.
Buffy went back down "I think she's ill" she sounded worried. "I'll check on her later." Willow said. "Ok, I have to go now ,bye" Buffy said and walked out.
"I'll go see what's wrong with Dawnie" Willow said and went up, to Dawn's room. She knocked on the door "Dawnie, can I come in?" "yes" Dawn answered. Willow came in "is everything on?" "no, I'm ill" Dawn replied. "You were ok yesterday. What happened?" "Yesterday happened" Dawn replied and almost cried. "What happened then? You were home all day . And mostly downstairs and really happy, like always" Willow sat down on Dawn's bed. "But yesterday wasn't just a day. It was something more important." Dawn said "Wait" Willow said and paused "It was, it was your birthday" her eyes widened. "And we didn't even say 'happy birthday' to you" Willow bit her lip. Dawn started to cry, "go away!" She said through tears. Willow left.
