Monica at Rachel's apartment.

"It's okay, honey. I know." Rachel said comforting her. "I don't get it, though, Mon. I

thought you liked him."

Monica continued to cry on Rachel's shoulder as they sat on Rachel's bed.

"I don't know why I'm crying like this."

"You do love him, Mon."

"I know! I... I just don't know."

"Can I tell you something, Rachel?"

"Of course."

"I've always had a little thing for Chandler. Do you remember that party we went to in

high school? That one (and only) party Ross ever had?"

"Yeah."

"And you kept pushing me to talk to guys." Rachel nodded. "Well, I did. I talked to one

guy that night, he was a friend of Ross'. And he totally dismissed me and... well, it

really hurt, Rach."

"I remember you spent all night in the bathroom."

"Yeah, crying my eyes out."

"Really? I thought you just had some bad dip." She smiled.

They both laughed.

"What does that have to do with Chandler?"

"It was Chandler. He was the guy that shut me down that night."

"Oh, oh no! Chandler? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, who could forget that hair?!"

"Yeah, but Mon, you were different people back then. He was a different person back

then. You gotta see that."

"Yeah, I can see that, but I can't forget it."

"Look, Mon. If you really like this guy you should go for it. Don't do like I did. Don't

wait, till the guy's married...and divorced...and married...and divorced."

They both laughed.

"But seriously honey, the way I see it you two are made for each other. You get him Mon.

You really get him. He's different when he's around you."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, he's normal."

"You have a choice. And I guarantee one day you will look back and remember this

moment when you had the choice to decide what you want in your life, no matter which

decision you make you will remember this moment. I'm gonna go get a wet towel for

your eyes so you can sleep. Just think about what I said Mon, at least think about it."
