Disclaimer: I don't own Sango. Miroku lives in my closet, but don't tell
anyone...
AN: This comes after chap. 292 in the manga, so if you haven't read that far, you might not want to read this
Thoughts
Sango mentally banged her head against a tree. It was dark. Night. Quiet. The time when sneaky little what-if-why thoughts trail through your mind, making you think... why the hell did I say I'd marry him? Why didn't I make him say he wouldn't cheat on me? Why didn't he kiss me? Why do I want him to kiss me? What if he just thinks this is the only way I'll do stuff with him?
"Aargh" Sango growled at the oh-so annoying thoughts going through her head. She rolled over, restlessly.
And there he was. Fast asleep. She didn't know how he slept sitting up, him and Inuyasha, but that wasn't the point.
There he is. The man you are engaged to, who you... love... who asks every damn girl he sees to bear his child! Sango sat up, and scooted over beside him. She sat, watching his boy-face in the flickering firelight.
Suddenly, of its own accord, her hand reached up and tucked a wayward strand of hair off his face, and then traced his jaw line. Her fingers trailed upwards, heading dangerously close to his mouth...
His eyes slid open.
Sango jumped back, blushing wildly. Miroku blinked, then his eyes focused on her.
"Sango?" He gazed at her curiously.
"Uh, I'm sorry, I just..." She faltered as he grinned at her.
"I think that in a relationship like ours, the touching should be two sided" He said with a smirk. Her fading blush returned, even darker, if that was possible.
"Is that the only reason you want to marry me?" she asked, blurting it out before she could think. Oh, damn. Miroku's smirk faded, and he looked down.
"I thought you understood. You aren't just any girl. You're special."
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. What I'm trying to say is... you can't marry me."
Oh, no. What was her mouth doing? She couldn't have just said that, right...
From the look on Miroku's face, she had.
Can't marry her? I-I thought... I love her...She has to marry me... right? But if she doesn't want to...
"I didn't mean that, either. I'm sorry, I just... I don't want to marry you if you are still going after other girls. If you are mine, I want you to be all mine. I mean, not like that, I sound way to possessive, but... I don't know why I'm talking so much. I just don't-"She stopped talking as Miroku's arms wrapped around her and he pulled her into his lap.
"Miroku?"
"Sango..." His voice was filled with unreadable emotion. She looked up at him, and here eyes connected with Miroku's burning violet eyes. And all of a sudden, Sango couldn't breathe...
"If I promise not to touch or flirt with another woman, will you let me kiss you? He said, his voice serious.
"Well that's what I've been waiting for." Sango blurted. "I mean, that's not exactly... what... I... ... "Her voice faltered as she felt his breath on her lips. Oh god, he's going to kiss me. And he swore not to touch another woman. Ever. And he loves me. And I love him. And-
...mmmmmm
That's it. I wrote this at midnight, cause I was really sick of writing angst, angst, and angst. I mean, I love the stuff, but a little fluff is good for the soul.
As for what happens next, feel free to think what you want. This is as far as I'm gonna go. So reviews puh-lease. I'll love ya 4 eva...
