Trees
Stars
Water
Night,
Quickly she noticed
That home was no more.
Strange land with the sea of trees,
Familiar stars guide her,
The air thick with the promise of rain,
Darkness surrounds,
With only the moon as her Light.
Hair black
Eyes blue
Delicate frame,
She was not suited for these harsh times.
With her air of innocence,
With her inexperienced soul.

Scents
Quickly he noticed
The intrusion.
Familiar trees with the comforts of home
The stars always guiding him,
As in centuries past.
Darkness fleeing Light
A strange scent gently caressing
Hair as snow
Eyes deep amber
Delicate frame.
Accustomed to harsh realities,
Reeking of arrogance and pride,
His delicate frame a ruse.
To soon does he find her--
Her with her innocence running,
Him with his pride always.
Meeting in darkness,
Their secrets unveiled,
Love blooming in betrayal.

Water
Night
Scents.
The trees shelter their secret.
Stars guiding them,
The cleansing rain,
Darkness running,
Scents mingling.
The moon vanishing
Their secret hidden no more.
Love stringing forever
Two hearts as one.
The trees forever flow,
The stars forever guide,
The water protecting their seed.
The night is no more.
Two hearts
Two lives
One love...

I wrote this poem with Sesshomaru and Kagome in mind. This is not the greatest poem I have ever written, but I had idea for a story in my mind for months, and failing to produce the story in a story format. However, I wrote the general gist of the story down in this narrative poem, though my poem does not fully capture what I wished
to express. Maybe one day I will be able to write the story I wanted.
