UNDER YOUR SPELL --Dancing With Lightning

A/N: Okay... this chapter is shorter than I expected, but I just couldn't add any more without having a good, round ending to the chapter! Oh well. I'm so proud! ( This is the shortest amount of tie I've spent on a story and the furthest I've gotten! To chapter 2, that is. It's not the longest story I've written. Please review!

And my big sis, Fire Angel.

Restless Morgan woke again the next evening (ready for her counselling with Jonathan), feeling extremely sick. Her mother came into the room and placed a hand on her daughter's sweaty forehead.

"I feared this would come."

"What is it?" Morgan gasped.

"They want to talk to you. Get yourself prepared, beautiful. You will be sent over soon."

She helped Morgan stand, and walked over to her daughter's wardrobe, where an assortment of different white clothing was hanging. She pulled a long robe that curled at the feet, making Morgan seem taller. Then she brushed her daughter's hair, pulling it into a braid, blowing on it, then pulling it out. Her hair was left in uneven, but pretty waves.

"What are you doing, Ma?" Morgan asked.

Maeve looked out the window at the rapidly fading sun and nodded. "Just meditate for a bit. They'll be here soon."

"Who will?"

"Just listen to me, and meditate."

Maeve left the room, and Morgan sat tailor-style on the ground, closing her eyes and breathing deeply.

Hunter opened the door silently and let Bree in, glancing around to see if everyone's car was here. Every car was present. He closed the door and cast a complicated spell on it so his father, when he got home, wasn't able to, or anyone else for that matter. He walked into the living room, and flicked blue electric-looking balls at every corner, the blue light spreading and covering the walls.

"Cloaking spell," Hunter explained, nodding to the eleven faces turned towards him. "It's necessary."

Raven nodded, and Hunter drew a white chalk circle on the floor, motioning people inside. He drew another four circles around that one, walking in, and then closing them behind him like sheep in a pen.

"Let's begin." His voice was hollow.



Morgan kept meditating, even though she suddenly felt as though she was flying. She heard gasps, and frowned.

"Morgan..." she heard Bree gasp.

"Oh, my God." Robbie said.

Morgan ignored them: they were just figments of her imagination.

"Morgan."

She opened her eyes. Not imagination. No-one could imagine Hunter's voice. She saw them all sitting in a circle around her, and she grinned. Morgan looked at Raven, to see tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I'm fine," she assured the crying Goth.

"You're dead!" she sobbed back.

Morgan smiled. "And, believe it or not, it's the best I've ever felt." She looked at Hunter. "How long?"

"An hour," he replied, fixing a pained smile on his face. "An hour and a half. It depends on how much energy we can use."

"Oh," she waved a hand. "Don't waste it! I'm fine."

Alisa sniffed and said, "I'm so sorry for killing you, Morgan."

Morgan smiled, the dark veins still standing out in her face, making her undeniably pretty. "You didn't, hon. It was my choice. The whole of Widow's Vale would have been wiped off the map. Hundreds would have died. So instead, it was just one."

"But why did it have to be you?" Bree asked. "You won't believe how empty the school feels."

"You won't believe how empty I feel," Morgan countered. "We're all going through pain, but we have to get through it, live life, or death, for me. Everything will be fine."

"No it won't!" Jenna cried. "We love you, Morgan!!"

"And I love you, forever. But, you can't keep living like this. This is torture. And it's not good, for both of us, if we keep joining. As much as I mss you, I know inside that leaving each other alone is the best thing to do. I know it's not what you want to hear at the moment, but it's what you need to hear." Tears welled in her eyes and slipped down her veiny cheeks. "I'm really sorry."

Hunter nodded. "I know you are, but still."

Morgan rounded on him. "And you! I'm so sorry to scold, but Hunter, you're a council member! I can't believe you're taking part in this!!"

"I needed to talk to you again."

"You have. We can't keep doing this. You're already draining your life force, so cut this spell and be done with me. I'm gone. There's nothing you can do to stop it."

Hunter shook his head, and Raven sobbed onto Bree's shoulder.

Morgan nodded. "Hunter, I love you so much, that is why I died. I wouldn't be able to live with you dead, and your Dad needs you. Just like you need him. If you died, I'd have no-one to turn to. My family isn't involved with Wicca, so I wouldn't be able to go to them."

She turned to Bree. "You know I love you, hon. You're my best friend. And if I had a choice, I wouldn't have died. But I didn't have a choice. So it happened. Be careful with what you're up to, I can see it in your eyes. It's not going to work, beautiful."

Robbie was next. "Robbie, you're so kind and caring, that's why I'm your best friend. I love you so much, just know that. Be kind to the people you love, and everything will be right for you."

She looked at a sobbing Raven. "Everything's going to be fine, love. You know it will. Be sure of yourself before you do anything else, and apologise to Sky. You know she needs it."

Jenna and Simon went in the same go. "You both know so well that you belong with each other. I wish you both so much luck in the future, not just as a couple, but as my friends."

Matt sat there, eyes wide, not saying a thing. She smiled. "I never really got along that well with you, Matt. But I always trusted you, because you're a good person to trust, in most situations. Just try and make it all situations we can trust you in."

She nodded to Ethan. "Everything's good, Ethan. Just stop worrying about things and get on with your life. We both know extremely well that you would enjoy it more if you just let things go."

Sharon smiled up at Morgan, trying to be strong. "Hey gorgeous," Morgan said, startling a laugh from her. "Everything's great in your life. Well, it will be when you stop worrying about me. Just tell yourself: everything's great, everything's great."

Morgan looked at Thalia. "I know you'll be fine," she said, pointing to her head. "My intuition tells me everything's going to be fine for you, Thalia. Just cruise along with life, Kay?" Thalia nodded.

She then turned to Alisa, last of all. "You didn't kill me," she said quietly. "I killed myself to save you. You did fantastically, Alisa. You learned that entire spell in a matter of hours, and I'm so proud of you. But accidents happen. You were nearly finished, Alisa. It was just that last part. Don't worry, sweetheart. Just enjoy. Everything's gonna be great from now on, I can feel it."

Alisa nodded, tears streaming down her face. Morgan smiled at the whole group.

"See? I have good words for all of you." Her face turned serious. "Please, don't try to contact me again. As much as I love you, it's not good for all of us. I can see a lot of you are draining. So please, take my words into account."

She looked around, suddenly wary. A background swam into view, white walls. She was sitting cross-legged on a white bed. "This is my home. This is heaven, and this is where I shall stay. Please, don't forget, but go past it, live. As my memory serves me, Buffy herself said: The hardest thing in this world is to live in it."

"And it is, so try your hardest."
