UNDER YOUR SPELL --Dancing With Lightning

A/N: KAYKAYKAYKAYKAY... first of all, why do people think my fic's finished??? *runs around with hands in hair, frantically pulling at curls* did I say something about my fic finishing?? Because I said that my fic is winding to a close doesn't mean I'm gonna finish it!!! Sorry to put across the wrong thing! I'm just saying that I don't want it to stretch out. I have to finish it eventually, you know?? But, it's not finished yet. This chapter has a few song lyrics in it from a song by Live called 'Forever May Not Be Long Enough'. I don't know the words, so the bits I wasn't sure about I changed to fit the storyline. Tee hee... I'm a very musical person, so I try to find ways to add music into my stories. I can't WRITE music, though... but I can write lyrics... it's my sister that writes the music—why am I even saying this?? Look, here are my thankyous, and I'll stop my rambling after that, so, from the beginning:

DREAMSEEKER: Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again, YOU SURELY KNOW HOW TO BOOST SOMEONE'S EGO!!! You're such a great person, and I love your e-mails so much, I just feel so privileged when you e-mail back. My jealous friends say 'hi' back, by the way. I just read the most recent reviews, and your words are magic (or magick, it really depends on which one you'd prefer to have). I've got such a privilege to be able to 'know' you, and... well... if I keep talking (writing, excuse me) like this, it'll get all mooshy and I suppose you don't want that, huh? Oh well, just remember one thing: you said something about writing in your most recent e-mail, but I disagree. You have magic, and that's so good to bring those gifts across to your work. Keep going, and I'm sure you'll (even though in my eyes you don't need to) definitely improve. Love you!!

KRISTIN: Do you actually write stories on fanfiction.net? Because if you do, tell me where to find them, and if you don't, you should! Nah, just kidding. Thanks so much for reviewing, not too many people can be bothered these days... but you're a legend, thankyou!!

JADEMOON: You're signed?!!?! Sheesh, I don't even look at that. Next time I'm on the net, I'll check and see what you write and stuff, tee hee! Thankyou for reviewing, and I really don't like Saebryn either!! But, you know, there has to be someone in a story that everyone hates, doesn't there? But thanks a bunch. ( BTW: I don't know that the smiley face I just did will turn out, but if it didn't, *smile*!! If it did, you can just have double!!

BALLETBABE83: Well, that is certainly the longest review I've ever gotten, not that I'm saying I don't like it! I think it's great! It made me laugh. I update as often as I can! My parents need to get more Internet time, so I'm waiting for them to get more so I can use to the Net more often. So, I loved the review and... you're anonymous!! Uggh! Please tell me if you write stories, because I'd love to read them. Thankyou so much.

(I'm beginning to wonder if people just review to get their names in my story... nah!! Just kidding! I'm just so surprised with the amount of reviews I have!!)

SAZ: Thankyou for writing you reviews... it's so kind that people come back more than once to review. Maybe I should take a leaf out of your book... tee hee! Thankyou so so so so so so much!! *smiles*. Keep reviewing!! And don't forget to SMILE!!

DARKE~MACEWAN~WITCH: Your name's almost as long as mine!!! Heh, I don't feel so alone now. Just a small question that sounds really stupid: was your name inspired by Rose or Ciaran? Okay, yes HUNTER MARRIED SOMEONE ELSE. I was just as annoyed as the rest of you guys were. But, you have to have something bad happen in the middle of the story, right? RIGHT?? Oh well... your signed too??? I feel so bad... I'll check it up when I put this chapter on!! Thankyouthankyou!!

CARLA: Hi. Have you read anymore of the Wicca/Sweep books since you reviewed?? Please let me know if you have. Thankyou for your reviews, every one means so much to me. *SMILE*

WINTER~RAVEN: Did I say that she was a vampire? I wasn't sure if I'd answered your question or not... I'm so confused... but thankyou for reviewing, it means so much to a young girl like me. I'm only thirteen, after all. I love your reviews, and I'm not just saying it because people keep on reviewing! But thankyou.

SODAPOP: Again, thanks for the review. It's so nice when people write reviews! I love them all!! And your signed too... eesh, I'm going to do a lot of checking up on the Net!! Thankyou again and again.

KISS~UP: Yes! You mentioned my story to someone else!! I just can't get over the fact! Thanks so so so so so much!!! I owe you forever!! The story is just so much better because all you people encourage me to make it better. (Oh no, sentiment taking over...) so thanks so much.

I always have a feeling that I've missed someone, so if I did, email me and let me know! I'll be sure to put you in twice in the next chapter.

Another two years passed, without the strange blue 'science' girl ever being seen.

Hunter and Saebryn had returned with Alisa to Widow's Vale and were now living with Sky, Raven and Daniel. Hunter was always watching for her, though.



Morgan's powers had gotten stronger over the years, and even though she had no magick, she could manipulate fire. A few people had the misfortune to stumble across the twenty-year-old demon, and she was nicknamed the fire- demon.

Those people unfortunately didn't get out of the forest alive, and it wasn't her who killed them, it was the two other demons living in the forest. She kept away from the other demons, mainly because they were... not to put a too finer point on it, but... they were feral.

One particular day, Morgan sat in a tree and watched the rain fall onto the forest floor. It was so peaceful and calm... she just wanted to stay there forever.

'Forever may not be long enough For our love I have a will but I'm lost inside This time,'

She missed Hunter and Alisa so much, but she knew she couldn't go back. Not after what she'd become.

'If you could, would you come with me To the other side?'

Morgan watched the birds in the trees chase each other in and out of the rain, chattering and whistling. The mountain behind the forest looked shiny, wet with the rain.

That's when Morgan noticed a small opening in the wall of the mountain that she'd never seen before.

She flew towards it, keeping her eyes locked on the opening. She was there almost as she had taken off. Morgan landed on a little ledge and crawled through the opening. She stood up to find herself in a spacious cave.

Soft lights were flying around the walls, like the ones you get when the sun reflects on your watch. The walls, from what she could see, were a marble green, but jagged and uneven. There was a soft glow coming from the other end of the long tunnel. So she walked towards it, keeping her wings curled around her form.

As she reached the end of the tunnel, she saw a woman clothed in a pearl- white robe standing over a pool of soft blue liquid with a pearly mist hanging over the pool.

"What is it?" she quietly asked the other lady.

"It's my pool," the lady answered, with a voice like a pack of wolves howling at the moon. "I can read your future, or tell you what you must do. Do you wish me to?"

Morgan unfurled her wings and sat cross-legged on the other side of this oracle's pool, watching the water intently.

The lady put her hand in a pouch attached to her belt and pulled it out with a handful of stuff that looked like fairy dust. She sprinkled it into the pool, moving a slender finger through the liquid.

"A man from your past needs your help," he murmured.

Hunter's face appeared in the pool, and Morgan gasped.

"But you cannot help him, because you are a demon."

Morgan nodded, and the lady took her hand from the liquid, nodding.

"I can give you something that will help you," she offered. "It's a special potion that will only make you turn into a demon when you want to. Then you don't have to hide."

Morgan nodded, and smiled as the lady handed her a small bottle. "Drink it."

She did, and immediately changed back to her human form again. It was funny, because she was wearing the same outfit she had been wearing before she changed into a demon. She reached up and felt her hair: perfectly normal.

"And... you have no magick left inside of you."

Morgan nodded. "Why?"

"My daughter died, so many years ago. But when she was just eighteen, she left behind this very special gift for her daughter in years to come. Unfortunately, she died before she was unable to have a child. So I want you to have it."

She passed Morgan a little wooden, black box with silver runes over it.

"Don't open it," the older lady cautioned. "Not until you really need it. Then the powers of Belwic—uhh, I mean, the powers of my daughter will aid you."

Morgan frowned. "What was your daughter's name?"

The older lady stood up and ushered Morgan outside. She touched Morgan's forehead and whispered a few words. Morgan felt herself fading away.

"Her name was Maeve Riordan!" the lady called as Morgan disappeared.



Morgan landed with a thud in the middle of the Widow's Vale cemetery. She stood up and brushed off her jeans, swearing. Then she walked out of the cemetery and down the pathway, straight to Hunter's house.

Hunter was sitting at home, reading a book. Thunder crashed outside, even though it wasn't raining. A dark shadow sprinted up his driveway, and banged on the front door. Saebryn made her way down the stairs, humming, and opened the door. Morgan pushed past her and ran to the lounge room, throwing herself on top of Hunter, crying.

"I'm so sorry!! I'm so sorry, Hunter!!!"

He looked at her, and it took a moment to realise who she was. "Morgan?"

"I'm so sorry!!"

He laughed. "You don't have to be," he murmured, holding her closely. "Everything you said-"

"Was cruel, mean and twisted," she cried into his shoulder.

"But the truth," he insisted. "It was the truth."

A loud 'ahem' made Morgan break away from Hunter and glare at Saebryn. "I'm having a sentimental moment, hel-lo," she said snootily. "Leave me alone!"

And she promptly turned back to Hunter and began crying into his shoulder, startling a laugh from the twenty-two year old.



Morgan and Hunter walked to Alisa's house the next morning, Morgan twisting her hands underneath the jacket Hunter had given her. She was nervous.

As they walked up to the front door, Morgan raised her hand to knock, but the whirled and started walking away. Hunter laughed and grabbed her wrist, practically dragging her. She dug her feet into the pavement, but he was stronger. He knocked on the door, and it was opened by Hilary, who was holding a baby.

Morgan melted. "Awww!! He? He's so cute!!!"

Hilary laughed. "Alisa!! Your friends are here?"

Alisa walked into the front entrance and watched Hilary walk off before throwing herself into Morgan's arms. "I'm so glad you're okay!!!"

Morgan laughed, running a hand down Alisa's hair. "I'm fine. I've been fine for years, I just went a little mad that particular day. It's all good now, sweetie."

"Good," Alisa laughed closing the door behind them. "You have to tell me everything."
