SilentBrat - Here's the next chappie!
"Sister Kikyou, why are you sad?" A little girl with long raven hair looked up to her sister with wide eyes.
"I'm not sad Kagome…it's just that…" Kikyou's eyes flickered for a moment before smiling sweetly at her sister. "Kagome, promise me something…"
"Anything sister Kikyou…"
"Promise me you'll never fall in love with the hanyou twins.
"Alright sister Kikyou!" The young Kagome hugged her older sister tight.
But from that day on Kikyou was never the same…
Normally Kikyou never screamed. Heck she never even talked, but today at school she screamed as she stared at the new student aka Inuyasha.
The Inuyasha boy didn't even spare a look at Kikyou just looked ahead with a bored expression lingering on his face.
The teacher however was not amused. He glared at Kikyou with his big hairy mole.
"Miss. Kikyou, is there anything wrong?"
Gulping, Kikyou shook her head hastily. "No Sensei."
The teacher leaned back on his wooden chair. The chair screeched in protest as the teacher's weight shifted.
Kagome looked up as snow white hair blew past her and to the seat on her left. She leaned over and whispered "Hey, I'm Kagome, the girl you bumped into. Then again you already know my name."
The boy ignored her and leaned on his hand.
Kagome frowned. "Sheesh, he doesn't have to be so rude." She muttered to herself as her gaze fell back onto the dusty chalkboard.
Dark smoky brown eyes focused onto the scene before her. "Sister Kikyou." The girl murmured while twisting a piece of raven her with her finger.
There, surrounded with the greenest grass and the prettiest flowers stood Kikyou and Inuyasha. Eyes focused onto each other, Inuyasha spoke with a clear voice. "We have to break it off Kikyou, we're just not right together."
Kikyou's raven hair blew around her. Her eyes hardened. "I don't believe you Inuyasha. How can you do this?"
Inuyasha's eyes closed for a quick second before opening again. "It won't work Kikyou…we can't" And he left; snow white hair trailing after him.
Kikyou stood there frozen with shock. 'How-how can this be?' And she cried, letting all her emotions flow out.
Even the greenest grass and the most beautiful flowers cannot heal a shattered heart.
Right after school Kikyou left in a big hurry. She did not want to see Inuyasha. She did not.
The aching came back, but she ignored it. 'I must be brave…I must be brave!' The words were muttered over and over again to herself. She ignored strange stares from passerby's.
When she entered her house, a warm feeling filled her heart. And what seemed like forever, Kikyou smiled. Not a smug smile, but a smile that lifted spirits, cheered friends up when they were down.
A few minutes later Kagome returned with Yura (who never actually went home until 11.)
Kikyou set her backpack down and flickered a glance at her sisters. "What brings the honor of having you home so early Yura?"
Yura, with her short yet straight and shiny raven hair, eyes full of mischief and aura filled with mischief ignored her sister and stomped up the stairs. A few minutes later Yura yelled to Kagome, 'KAGOME GET ME MY AFTER SCHOOL TEA! AND WHILE YOU DO THAT GO GET MY HAIRDRYER! AND HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE MY WINDOWS OPEN!"
Kikyou rolled her eyes at Kagome and mouthed, "So much for our idol."
Kagome snickered while making Yura's tea. For a moment Kagome thought her old sweet sister was back, but the next thing she knew, Kikyou was demanding Kagome to get her some milk.
"Things change, but I hope Kikyou changes real soon." Kagome murmured to herself and brought the tea upstairs to her sister Yura.
Just when Kikyou was having her milk in the kitchen and settling down to finish her novel, when the bell rang. Since Kagome was helping Yura with whatever she needed help with, Kikyou brushed some bangs from her eyes and opened the door.
She frowned at the site. It was Miroku, the annoying kid who was very perverted. He winked and asked for Kagome.
Kikyou sighed and shouted up the stairs. "KAGOME YOUR FRIEND IS HERE!"
A few seconds later the loud thumping of footsteps came down the stairs and Kagome emerged. "Hey Miroku!" Kagome smiled at her friend while grabbing her shows and slipping them on.
She turned to Kikyou. "Her sis, I'm going to the park with Sango and Miroku. I'll be back to make Dinner."
Kikyou raised an eyebrow. "That'll be okay, I'll make dinner, you go have your fun." And Kikyou smiled again. Kagome gazed at Kikyou for a long time and then hugged her sister. "Thanks Sis Kikyou. I'll see you later then!"
And Kagome and Miroku left. The door slammed. Kikyou looked dazed. "Am I that heartless?" She asked herself.
Kagome's POV
"Your ice-cube sister is actually kind Kagome." Miroku laughed while glancing at the girls.
I punched him lightly. "That's not nice, she's just going through tough times Miroku."
"Keep telling yourself that." Miroku said, and waved to a slutty looking girl.
I glared at him. "Where's Sango?" I
He shrugged. "She told me to meet her here at 5:30."
"But it's already 5:30!" I was yelling by now. "I have to get home and help Kikyou prepare dinner and I still have to study for the math test!"
Miroku shrugged again. "Don't worry; your ice-cube sister said she'll make dinner."
I frowned and sighed. "I guess…"
"Relax Kagome-Chan, everything's fun, and besides, here comes Sango with a cute girl!"
Miroku bounded over to Sango. I followed him.
Sango introduced the girl. "Kagome, Miroku this is Ayame. Ayame this is Kagome and Miroku, don't worry if they're weird, I'm the one who keeps them sane."
I play glare at Sango. The Ayame girl looks kind of shy. "Hi!" Immediately Miroku's all over her. Sango and I roll our eyes at each other.
"Oh, and have you met Inuyasha? He's my friend." I gasp. Behind Sango stands Inuyasha. He glances at me and sighs.
I can tell his is going to be a very bad day.
Allie: So, like it? Review please!
Minini: Yea…if you do…I'll give you a Kagome, Kikyou and Inuyasha plushies!
Allie: And no, I don't own Inuyasha. If I did, I'd be rich!
