Ever since he was a young boy, Jude had wondered about his family. How come
the other kids at school had a daddy to play sports with and not him? Had
he been bad, was that why he didn't have one?
His mother had then showed him pictures of Daddy and had told him it wasn't his fault Daddy wasn't there. That Daddy would never come back but will always stay with them in thoughts, protecting them.
Jude never told his mum, but he hated Daddy. Daddy had no right to leave them, he shouldn't let mom cry at night like this. Jude hated Daddy, he wanted Harry to be his Daddy. He once asked Harry if he could, but he told him it didn't work that way.
When Jude was 9, his mother had finally told him that Daddy was in fact dead. That wasn't a new concept to him, his grandpa had died 2 years earlier, so he knew what it was. But he still didn't feel sad for Daddy, how can you regret someone you never knew?
Harry told him stories about Hogwarts sometimes, and Jude had wanted to go there for a long time. He had known magic all his life, he remembers driving his mom crazy by stealing her wand and making things catch fire. But Hogwarts, that was a different story. It was magic in itself, in its very name.
And now Jude was here.
"Hey, Jude, what's up with your name?" asked a girl at breakfast.
"What do you mean?" he answered.
"Well, it's... special?", she felt uncomfortable.
He laughed, he loved to have people wondering about his name.
"It's from a song, it's called 'Hey, Jude', by the Beatles" he said, still smiling.
Jude made friends easily. Sometimes he wondered where he got that from, seeing how mum was always shy and Daddy-on-the-pictures was always scowling.

It had been a month since that midnight chat with Granger, and Draco still didn't know what to think.
For now, he had been acting rather like he did to her when they were still at school. No insults, oh no... Much more subtle than that. Remarks, comments, insinuations and glares. He found himself enjoying being pernicious to Granger again, just like old times.
Now Jude was another problem. Draco came up to a point where he simply ignored him. He tried telling himself that he was his son, but having been deprived of him for 11 years, he did not know how to act as a father. Plus he didn't have such a good example as one with Lucius, which made it even more difficult.
Today was a Hogsmeade weekend. Sitting alone at a table of the Three Broomsticks, gazing absent-mindedly into his butter beer.
A familiar voice approaching caught his ears.
"This place is always so crowded, there isn't anywhere to sit, Severus!" exclaimed a Hermione soaked from the rain.
Not answering, Hogwarts' Headmaster walked over to where the blonde-haired man was sitting.
"Draco, you don't mind if Hermione and I sit with you?" he received a nod as an answer, "I'll get the drinks", he left.
The Transfiguration teacher sat down, taking her coat off.
"So, you hitting on Snape now? Figures..."
Hermione blushed and glared at him fiercely. "For your information, Severus and I are good friends, as SOME people can forget past grudges, not like others," she spat the last three words in disgust.
"By past grudge, do you take into account our son, or where you only looking at the rest of them?"
"I told you it is your responsibility to tell him..."
He slammed his hand, although lightly, on the table.
"You told me that, but dear Granger, you knew too well that I wouldn't wander to this kid I barely know and tell him I'm his long-lost father" he drawled, "Nice plan, well-schemed".
She got up, glaring at him so hard it hurt.
"Fine!" she yelled, "then I'll tell him!"
She walked, or more like stomped, towards the exit, passing briskly in front of a stunned Severus Snape.
Hermione Granger did not know why she was so upset right now. Well, in fact, she knew too well. She was scared. Scared of Jude's reaction. She had dreaded the day when she would have to face Malfoy again for 10 years. And now, this past month had been like hell. Every time she talked to her son, she sighed in relief because he still didn't know.
'I don't want him to know, not now. I never want him to know...' she thought.
The rain was hitting her face harshly as she wondered the streets of Hogsmeade. For her it had been simple that night: tell Malfoy, hope he doesn't tell Jude. If he tells Jude, beg for forgiveness from his part.
She had considered to yell at Malfoy and threaten to hex him if he told her son, but he helped conceive him, she had no right to do this to the father of her child.
"Granger?" a voice she knew oh too well asked, "Snape sent me after you"
She turned around to meet Draco's gaze, wrapped around his cloak.
"And if he hadn't, would you have gone after me?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow.
He shrugged, his eyes expressionless. "Guess not", he said.
"Thought so," her eyes wandered around the empty streets, gray from the pouring rain. "Come, Malfoy, I want you to meet our son".
She started forward towards the castle.
She had said 'our'.

Jude was supposed to meet his mother in her office at 5, and it was 5:30. His mom was never late. Sitting in her comfortable chair, he was starting to get worried, until the door opened to reveal soaking wet Hermione Granger, followed by Draco Malfoy, in the same state as she.
In a flash, the boy was standing upright.
"Mum! Professor Malfoy!" exclaimed Jude.
Without saying a word, the two professors were taking their cloaks off, damp from the rain.
"Jude" stated Hermione as she straightened her sweater, before sitting on top of her desk.
Her son's gaze traveled to his Potion's teacher then back to his mother.
"Is this about the Potion's essay I didn't turn in on time? I swear it was Paul's fault, he..." he started, embarrassed.
Hermione but him short by dismissing his speech with a wave of her hand.
"It's not about that, honey. Sit down," her tone was of no-reply.
Jude sat on his mum's office chair once again. Worried about whatever might come next.
"I told you once that your dad was dead... Well, the thing is, Jude, that Viktor, the man I loved, is dead. But... He... How can I say that? Merlin help me...," she ran a hand through her hair, her eyes becoming glassy, "Viktor wasn't your father."
All color drained from Jude's face at that moment.
"What? He isn't my dad? Who is then? Mum, how could you..."
He was cut off. "Let me finish, Jude. Viktor isn't your father. During the war, I wasn't able to see him during months because we retreated back at Hogwarts. It was unbearable, I loved him so much. I didn't even know if he was still alive. So, what happened was I..." she paused, unsure of what to say next, "Draco is your father honey," she ended quickly in a whisper.
Jude looked at his Potion's teacher once again. Though he didn't say anything, nor did Malfoy.
"Jude..."
The said boy shot up from his chair, tears of anger rolling down his cheeks.
"I hate you! Both of you!" he yelled before slamming the door.

Just to make that sure to everyone!!
Tell me if you like this chapter, okay? I love reviews, they make my day!!!!
