Remus starred into the night, suddenly thoughts flooded his mind.... thoughts of remembering.... thoughts of a girl from time long gone.... NO! I mustn't think of her now! He could see her as clear as the moon on a night with no clouds her dark brown hair the color of night..... "Cathrine?" his voice soft questioning quiet....Oh what was he saying she was gone taken by those C.I.A. of the W.W. ...Bastards! How dare they take her away from me....she was the only one who loved me. My own mother even didn't love me.....Bastards! A knock came at the door. No one came to his door anymore not now that Sirius had sworn to stay away and James & Lilly dead. Again the knock came. "Coming." He said angrily. He turned the knob...There stood a figure hidden behind their hood. Whoever this was....was as tall as he was. "Remus?" Their voice was weak . They collapsed. "Oh dear." What am I going to do with this person I don't even know who the hell they are.
Remus laid the cloaked fiuger on the small couch which was in the middle of his small apartment. He pulled back the hood of the person's robe to find the face of Sirius Black. "Sirius?" Remus was puzzled after so long why had Sirius come to call on him after all the last time the two had spoken Sirius had sworn up and down that untill Cathrine came too live with him he would not set foot in the house of a Lupin. But why now had he broken his promise? Or had he not broken his promise? Would Cathrine really come to stay with Sirius so the two would be on at least speaking terms? Or was there a reson far more dark then he could fathom?
An hour later Sirius stirred from his unconsious state "Remus I know what I said in the past but now is not the time to worry about such things."
"What do you mean my friend."
"I found her."
"Cathrine?"
"Indeed but I know not if she esacped or..."
Sirius was cut short by Remus "Where is she? is she alright?"
"She is at Hagrid's and she is alive."
" I understand why she is at Hagrid's because acording to everyone else she is dead and it would cause far more trouble to take her somwhere else but what do you mean by she is alive." the tone in Remus' voice had changed to fear and anger all rolled into one.
"She has passed into the realm of 'The Night' from which only two friends from the past can save her just as two friends once saved you Remus."
"Cathrine,....James." Remus' voice was barley a whisper 'The Night' realm he dare not enter there agin. But Cathrine.
"Remus?"
"I.....I will come. for one such as her should not have to bare such a burdon such as this." Remus looked out the window at the moon, then to his friend. "I must warn you Sirius time moves quicker where we are going you and everyone else will be the same there but the phases of the moon they change rapidly and if I slow you down you must move on ahead of me because if we linger too long we will....." Remus trailed off.
"Will what Remus?"
"Be trapped just as she is but there will be no one here to save us and we will all die. So we must hurry, do you have a way to get to Hagrid's?"
"Yes but that is why I fainted I used this" Sirius held up a silver chain with a tear drop shaped glass bubble held by a hawk's claw.
"YOU STOLE CATHRINE'S NECKLACE!" Remus' voice was in more shock then it was anger "Well it was the quickest way to get here...."
"Whatever Sirius we'll take the car."
