I tried writing a poem. Hope you like it!

Past and Future

You're standing there
With tears in your eyes
Once soft with love
Now hard with despise

You beg me to choose you
To follow into Hell
But you are earth and bones
Only an empty shell

You're not the girl I loved
There's no warmth in your touch
A body without a soul
Hatred is your crutch

Because of who you were
I am a better man
We wanted to be together
But Fate had another plan

You changed my life
And are changing it still
I have always loved you
And I always will

But I cannot choose you
I must turn away
Though I love you both
I choose Kagome

She traveled across time
To set me free
She gave up her home
To be with me

She shares your appearance
She has your soul
But her spirit is different
It has made me whole

Her eyes are soft
There's warmth in her touch
She's loving and kind
She cares so much

Her presence healed wounds
I thought too deep to heal
Her presence woke emotions
I thought I could never feel

The mention of your name
Brings her to tears
And causing her pain
Is my greatest of fears

I love you Kikyo
But her love is pure
You have my past
She has my future
