Nagi...
Talks about when he was about ten or so, probably even younger. When the other kids found out he had TK (telekinesis), they shunned him and abused him--because he was different. Although only implied, the violence that such children could do upon their own scares me. The killing of his tormentors is my own recreation, I guess to show Nagi's sorrowful loss of innocence as he transforms from child to assassin.
Cover My Eyes and Whisper, My Soul
by Damascus Ochre
Cover my eyes and whisper, my soul
Give yourself up to the devil's hold
Forget the tears that fall from the little one's eyes
All he's crying for is the truth in his lies
Walking through the sunlight with his head bowed low
The little boy, he faulters at the sticks and stones
Falling from the sky and piercing fragile skin
Something deep within him breaks and snaps, gives in
All he wanted was for them to leave him be
But they kept on coming and refused to heed
His warning was a toxic sound through rain and mud
Streaming through his fingers was the children's blood
Looking up above at the dreamers' stars
Storm-grey clouds shrouding all that's ours
Tears of rain that trickles down his youthful face
Dreams of peace and kindness have all been erased
Cover my eyes and whisper, my soul
Give yourself up to the devil's hold
Forget the tears that fall from the little one's eyes
For all he's crying for is innocence denied.
