Two variations on a poem I wrote. Actually, it was for history class, cuz
we were studying Japan an' had to write a haiku, but it turned into this,

Here's the Tanka version:
Light unquenchable
High above water rushes
The harborless ship
Sails the velvet night alone
The herald, the light-bringer

Here's the haiku:
The harborless ship
