Sunlight's Uncle's Day
"There almost done with that one."A young girl about the age of four or five said to herself. Looking up after the finishing touches were put one, she looked around seeing Red walking in she ran over to him with the the picture, "It's for you. But you CAN'T look at it yet," "Why not Sunlight?" He asked her puzzeled. "Cause, Uncle Red I haven't given Uncle Buddy his." "Well lets go find him so then." "Can't." "Whys that?" "Cause I haven't made it, yet." The little girl told him as she started on Buddy's. After what seemed like half a day, Sunlight looked up. "Kay, ready." She announced. As Sunlight took his hand he could help but chuckle to himself. He couldn't believe how different she was from all the other children. They were all more independent than she. Most have already pulled away but Sunlight seemed to enjoy it.
"Uncle Buddy!" Sunlight called walking into the Caves. The Keeper of Blue looked towards the two. "what can I do for the two of you?" "I have something for you." Sunlight told him. "I gave Uncle Red his, already but I told him not to look without you." "Well let me see it." Buddy said. Sunlight handed Buddy a small piece of paper. Once both guys had looked at the paper, Buddy looked up. Smiling Red did the same. "Why, t,... t,...." they started over. "Sunlight that was so thoughtful, Thank you." "I don't have a Daddy, so I wanted to give you a Uncles Day card instead." She told them looking at her feet. Having an idea of what might be comming, Red knelt down to her leavel, lifted her chin so that there eyes meet. "Listen, we love it.You can do that as much as you'd like." he told her. Buddy reatched down to her, "how bout we go for ice cream." Sunlight looked at Buddy in shock, but just like all the others she knew to take the offer when it stood since he didn't do it too often.
